Not much shade but great place to hang with a small group. Once when I arrived there were jugglers and people playing jazz, very nice atmosphere and lots of kids playground equipment as well as a large lawn to play on our to chill out on, plenty of space for social distancing.

This park reminds me of one I frequented as a child in Florida. Lots of green, never too crowded. Great place to throw the ball for your dog.

Very family oriented, swings, bars, and lots of room for everyone to play.Watch out for doggy doo, as with any park. People seem to be pretty watchful about such things in this neighborhood type vibe. There just seems to be so many dogs anymore.I love to relax here, its usually quiet. Well maintained .

Sandel Park is almost everything I look for in a park. Its got the wide green area in the middle. A running path surrounds the green. Just north of the path there a small playground area with swings and even an old school merry-go-round. Just an A+ little patch of green in the city.

Great for a walk, run even bikes. It has a slight incline and alot of grass space for picnicking - soccer - tag, the list goes on. Dog friendly - Restroom n kiddy pool for the summer.

This is a nice enough park, but there was a group of children rushing around all over the place, getting in peoples ways. They broke right into the middle of a basketball game. I went back another day and saw the same kids, so I passed.

This is such a great park. Lots of open grassy space for playing, a walkway that goes around the outside thats fun for kids riding bikes or walking, a colorful playground with all the fun things. Theres a sandbox with donated trucks and shovels. And a restroom! No water feature, but it has a lot of shady space to hide from the sun, but plenty of open space to soak it up.

Sandel Park is very nice, n family friendly park. After playing for many hours, you can dash 2blocks to either Safeway or fredmyers to refuel or close by many other small shops. This park has bathroom, a full basketball court, swings on the side, a mini trial that goes around the park for the kids to bike around. Picnic tables for bday, gathering n parties... there are After school catch n little girls/Boys soccer practice.Just be careful with the steep green slide, just NOT for little kids..bit steep!Overall great park, MUST WATCH FOR YOUR KIDS AS THERE USED TO BE FEW OF THE HOMELESS VANS...i am always worried about my kids being kidnapped by them if I dont keep my eyes on the kids the entire time..PARENTS OFF YOUR PHONE AND ON YOUR KIDS..you will not regret it...Enjoy...
