Waterfront Park on Pier 58 in Seattle, adjacent to the Seattle Aquarium is currently under construction from last Year where the Farris Wheel is located on the skyline.I have always enjoyed visits to rekindle the nostalgia of the businesses representing this district along the Pudget Sound...TheRealInternetMan

As of 9/13/2020, 20% of the pier that is Waterfront Park has failed and is now underwater. There is an Emergency Demolition Order in place for much of Waterfront Park and the associated Pier.Do not expect this to be reopened any time soon. It has to all be removed and reconstructed.

If one kid runs away , hes just around the corner usually - its big enough for them and small enough for a parent toNot worry . The people who work there are nice and helpful . Their Christmas activities are great . I havent used it for a pArty yet but that may be coming soon .

This was the first place I went when I travelled to Seattle. The view is mesmerizing. Calming water on the front, The bustling city on the back. Lots of stuff to do in this area and tons of walking is mandatory. Dont forget to drop by in this area when you are in the City. Take a ride in the Great wheel and enjoy the wonderful view.

Visited on: 2 sep 19. We visited the water front park to get a full view of the illuminated great wheel around 9 PM. Only the outer ring was illuminated. I read that the wheel will be completely illuminated around 10PM. The view is great from here. Good place for photographers. Street parking was available nearby and was free of cost when we visited (since we went around 9PM)

It had been several years since I visited the Seattle water front. This time I was able to take my mom to lunch and for a ride on the big wheel for her 81st birthday. She was so happy to see the views from the wheel that we almost didnt again! Cant wait to get her back there.

There is a ton of construction in this area and it can make it difficult to get around, but the waterfront is a great place to take a walk, check out the typical tourist T-shirt shops and there are also several places to eat. there huge Ferris wheel is also located on the waterfront. If you have been to the waterfront in the past, but havent seen it since the viaduct -Alaskan Highway has been removed, check it out. The scenery has changed dramatically.

The waterfront is awesome during the day but I think its a little better at night with everything lit up right by the water! I havent been on the ferris wheel yet but it looks like a blast and its not too bad of a price considering what you get, its $13 for an adult and $8.50 for children.

The waterfront is probably my favorite place to go in Seattle--from having lunch at Ivars to shopping for souvenirs at the various shops to enjoying the wonderful views--especially when the weather is clear. I enjoy the views of the water (Puget Sound), the mountains (the Cascades, including Mt. Rainier, to the east; the Olympics, including Mt Olympus, to the west)), the ferries and other ships (Seattle is a major port with ships coming and going to all points of the globe), and city skyline. I enjoy watching trains: near the cruise ship dock, this is where trains come out or enter the tunnel (underneath downtown). There are BNSF freight trains, Amtrak passengers trains, and Sounder commuter trains, keeping this stretch of track very busy. During the day its beautiful. At night, the water reflects the citys multitude of lights. There are plenty of things to do if you dont mind spending the money, and there are places that will suck the money right out of you. You can take a ride on one of the Washington State ferries, take a water taxi, a guided boat tour out on the water, dine at one of the restaurants, ride the Big (ferris) Wheel. Pier 69 is where one can catch a ferry to Victoria, British Columbia. However, if you dont want to spend a lot of money, it doesnt cost anything just to stroll around the wharves and enjoy the views.

If you go to Seattle, this is one of the places you should go to. The experience changes depending on the people that are there at any given time. When we were there, we played with sandbag toss, had face painting, listened to a busker and had a good conversation with a few friendly locals.Nice place to just relax and take in the sights, the smells and the people.

Assuming your here on vacation this is a must see location. Lots to see and do with some of the most stunning views of Puget sound. It touristy but traveler or tourist you need to visit and experience. The Crab Pot restaurant was great. We had Snow Crabs and they were a treat. Definitely recommend visiting and dining. Plenty of public parking across the street. If you haven’t been to Seattle parking can be tough and often pricy. Public parking is a welcome sight even at a fee.

Fantastic Weather. Saturday, with a super light crowd, sat at one of the blue metal tables(across from the Seattle Ferris wheel)/with 4 attached chairs, snacked, and worked on phone while youngsters played soccer in a minature steel fenced area next to the table. Next to this was an organized outdoor concert with enjoyable music. A beautiful Saturday afternoon, after the West Seattle street fair, coming across the foot ferry; another five star, on my way back home.
