This is a great neighborhood park! I live in a nearby apartment building and I love to use the loop walking trail to get some sun and exercise. Has a nice shady area on one side with trees, playground, and picnic tables. On the sunnier side of the park you can find a basketball court, skate park, grassy field, and benches along the trail to sit and take a break. I enjoy the atmosphere, as theres usually a nice bunch of people making use of the park--not too crowded, just enough to make you feel like youre in good company.

Great place to enjoy the sunshine for lunch. A park for kids to play on and nearby neighborhoods keep the noise moderate. The weekend skateboard crowd is lovely and fun to watch. :) They are nothing but courteous and kind to the younger kids who venture onto the concrete.

I like this park because its close to my sons preschool. It has a lot of shade from trees and a great play structure and skate park. The only downside is it also has a lot of grafitti and trash, used needles, cigarette butts and beer cans / liquor bottles strewn about. It seems to be a struggle the community endures, as it is also a great resource for local Lake City families and is an otherwise beautiful park.

This has always been a nice park--a good little playground with a couple of slides, a nice open grassy area and, as of a few years ago, a large skate park. Unfortunately, there always seems to be something sketchy going on. Sometimes its a group of kids on the playground who are just a little too old to be at the playground, and yet a little too young to be completely unsupervised, and who think its cool to swear loudly in front of the toddlers. Today it was a couple with a small child who started smoking marijuana 25 feet upwind of me and my two children. Weve been going for years and will keep going back. You just have to know what to expect.

My husband and I had a nice leisurely walk through the park tonight. We were just walking around, checking out the neighborhoods in our vicinity. However, there is an abundance of trash (especially surrounding the benches), the grass was grown over, it hasnt been kept up and there are only lights on the east side of the pathway through the park. All in all, a little sketchy walking after dark.

This is a fun park, my daughter enjoyed the features quite a bit. It has slides and amenities set up for patrons 2-5 years old, another set for 5+ years old, and a paved skate park feature adjacent to the playground. I appreciate the many tables and benches as well as the strategically placed shade trees.I took away one star due to no visible restroom facilities. The was a single lockedport-a-potty across the street. Fortunately some people on a lunch break were able to direct us to an off-site restroom.

I love love loveee! this park! I am fortunate enough to work close, and use the park daily to eat lunch and take a quick stroll. The loop around the park is nice, and Im sure 5 or 6 times around equals a mile. There are always children/parents/skateboarders around which gives it a safe feel. The only eye sore are the campers that line the perimeter. Seattle has a homeless issue, what can I say? Its not bothersome, just an eye sore. Enjoy!

This park gets a lot of use and really adds a great gathering place to the neighborhood. Kids playground, skateboard park, circular path around park perimeter for walkers, park benches for resting, big trees to catch shade under, nice open field for playing catch or throwing a frisbee, and a concrete area with BBQs near picnic tables with younger trees for shade, in between the kids playground and skateboard park. Oh, and a small court for basketball!

Semi-shaded park with small and large playground equipment, swings (includes baby swing and ADA swing), and cool built-in slide. Newly opened skate park. But there are always a lot of homeless folks around and sometimes some gross and/or dangerous trash. Would be five stars except there are no bathroom facilities.

Beautiful skate area. Well maintained grounds. Wonderful paved walking path well shaded under trees. Would give 5 stars but there was a gentleman sleeping in the bushes who came out to rumage through the garbage can. Several RVs parked on the premises with orange stickers, so you know they were living there. And used needles discarded on the ground under the trees.

This a small, nice park. Theres a good-sized playground with a merry-go-round, and two play structures - one for the littles and one for bigger kids. Theres a basketball court. The best part for us is the easy to ride paved path that encircles the park. My 4 year old finds it easy to ride around. Theres no parking lot, but there is parking around the perimeter of the park.

The park frequently has a mixture of homeless people hanging out with shopping carts, people sleeping in cars in the parking lot, teenagers swinging on the swings for children, and people smoking pot. Weve seen plenty of drug deals too. It would be a nice park if it werent for the non-kid-friendly crowd.
