Not sure if I should vamp this place and keep it safe from being used for any other purpose ever, or keep it secret. Because for someone who loves trees and forest walks, it is the greatest park in the Seattle area. It is magic inexpressible. You will be transported away from the houses and buildings, from the trashcans and commutes. You will be in the woods, paths and tree covered hills, kids building forts out of sticks and logs, room to ride and run, lonely spots, Majesty, birds, friendly neighbors. Incredible place. I do morning walks there that correlate with good days.

A fairly well sized park with loads and loads of trails. An excellent park for the active family whether its biking, hiking or baseball. The best part of Hamlin is that each trail is interconnected, you can get from any end of the park to anywhere else in the park without effectively leaving the trail you started on. It is my favorite park in all of washington and make a point to go at least once every season.

Hamlin Park softball fields arent being maintained. The holes are deep near home plate. large plants are blooming mid field, making easy tripping hazards.During COVID non-lockdown, softball was great because we could all stay 6ft apart. I am glad they were there. They arent terrible. Just need work. Also dog walkers are taking their dogs off-leash to run free in those fields and arent picking up after them when they poop in the field. Also, had issues with the lights flickering, and sometimes going off early.

Hamlin is a beautiful park! Its all wooded with many interlacing trails; this is a great park for a family outing. And its very good for smaller kids, (but only a small part of the park works for strollers). You can easily wander for a couple of miles or more. Its a big enough area that you feel far removed from the city and truly in the woods.

Great place for urban hiking. You can come here and really feel like you are lost in the woods. Keep an eye out for feral bunnies and for the giant pileated woodpecker. Lately Ive been finding painted rocks hidden along the trails and theyve added even more to my enjoyment of this natural area.

Love love LOVE this place. I grew up romping around these woods, creating forts and playhouses with my brothers and sisters. The trees feel like old family friends to me. It is truly a magical Oasis from the hustle and bustle of North Seattle, Shoreline streets. Definitely not an acreage of wood you want to miss. Adventures come alive here. ️

We love Hamlin Park. Its quiet and peaceful and theres almost always easy parking. The wooded trails feel secluded, but youre never too far from the car if you get tired. We bring our baby here to get some fresh air and help him calm down after a busy morning of play. There are bathrooms but the toilets in the womens room dont have toilet seats, and there are no paper towels and only sometimes soap.

Was one of the actors in a school film project and we did a bit of filming here and I can tell you that the trail is great for running in! Had to run back and forth without my glasses and managed to do so without tripping even once! Then had to fake fall in slow motion and found that even the ground was pretty soft, so that was cool. The only bummer was when it started raining, so we had to wrap it up rather quickly, but all in all its a great place!

I was immediately in awe of this park that I had accidentally stumbled upon. I felt as if I was on the edge of a Forest. Towering majestic firs standing so tall it was impressive. I momentarily allowed my dog to get her nose full of the many new smells as I read the information board. Apparently the trails had been recently improved for the disabled to be able to investigate along with all others. This pleases me as I like to trailblaze and 4 wheel with my walker and dog. Be returning soon to enter the deep woods.

Pretty soon parks like this will be a rare gem in our once-emerald city. Seems like this park may have a termite problem? There are many hollowed-out large growth trees, and even the trunks used to line the path are becoming piles of sawdust. Still, there is plenty of verdant forest here for small animals, humans and birds alike to call this home!

Neighborhood park with well-maintained trail system atop a large hill. Lower level ballparks are popular with local Little Leaguers. The lower area also includes a covered picnic area, two playgrounds (one for younger kids/pre-K, and one for the older kids/elementary-MS), a working bathroom and drinking fountain, and plenty of handicapped parking. A paved trail around the fields is accessible: easy to traverse with a cane or wheels.

A nice mix of forested trails and playfields and playgrounds. They even have the rarely seen park bathroom. You can find two unexpected historic finds here: naval guns from the Spanish American War, used in what is likely the most decisive naval battle ever. The playgrounds could be larger, but considering the size of the park and the limited number of people who could walk to it, theyre probably adequate.
