Great playground area for the kiddos. 4 basketball courts and 2 fields one smaller next to the playground and another one big enough to play a very respectable game of flag football or soccer.

Really awesome park for all ages. This park has very nice trails for families. You can get some really good photos of the dessert on the small hike. My kids loved the playground and large artificial grass area that includes water sprinklers to cool off in the summer. One of the most unique parks in Scottsdale. Definitely a place to visit if you are new to Scottsdale. And if you get into the hiking spirit while you are here theres Pinnacle peak and Toms thumb trail 5 minutes away.

Update 11/16/17: Beware of rattlesnakes spotted in the area! This is a great park! It has a very well shaded playground. A large artificial grass area for picnics or water play, as it has self operating sprinklers. There are two well kept basketball courts. There is plenty of shaded area, lots of seating and picnic tables. The bathrooms are clean. There is an easy hiking trail that starts at the park, it has awesome views. There is a large real grass area. There is plenty of parking. There are drinking fountains for dogs as well.

Neat little park in Scottsdale. Really enjoyed the views and some of the architectural elements that were brought into play. Had a very refreshing feel to the location. We happened to be there on what was otherwise a quiet day, but its clear that there are birthday parties in the pavilion as well as basketball games (see photos). All in all, Id recommend going and I look forward to going back.

Great little park with a nice kid friendly trail. The current Google Map directions are incorrect, you have to go north one more street where the fire station is located

Great park. The shade over the playground is great for when it starts to get hot. The playground has a play set for younger children and one for bigger kids. There is sand and artificial turf for kids to play. Also has an area for dogs to run, but it is not fenced.

Amazing park. Nicest park Ive been to. Great little hiking trails, amazing basketball court, great dog park. The steel and stone architecture is beautiful. Must have cost a lot to build.

This is my favorite park with my kids! Its beautiful, quiet, shaded and surrounded by nature. Good place for kids, dogs, hiking, and basketball. The bathrooms are my favorite... made from nature. Just had my sons birthday here and everyone agreed that it was worth the drive!

Great facilities nice park - if you’re bringing your dog be careful some of the winter residents like to complain about a leash being too long or not tight enough on your dog and you may get a ticket

The best park in the city in my opinion. Hard covered playground, hiking trails, water fountain dish for dogs, and nice bathrooms. There is also a dog lawn and a separate artificial turf lawn next to the playground

This is the park I send all my visiting friends with families to. Like others mentioned, it has something for everyone but my personal favorite is the little known hike behind the park and up around the hill. It is like a mini mountain for kids to hike and is easy enough for adventurous toddlers. Its maybe 20-30 minutes with the pokiest of kids. There are also works of art lining the trail. The ampitheater is fun for kids to climb to, even though it gives parents a bit of a scare. Speaking of scares, rattlesnakes were spotted in the caged rock walls near the playground so I know some parents are taking time off from the park during peak snake season. There is also a big open grassy area for the dogs. Per local law all dogs should be leashed but you will certainly see off leash dogs here (if you do allow your dog off leash be aware of the surrounding wildlife dangers like snakes and coyotes). The park can be tricky to find and the locals like to drive fast and close here so I always look for the big tower and fire department to remember where to turn.

The park it self was a very nice park with a large grass field as well as astro turrf field and nice bathroom and a place place with great cover from the sun and rain but when we hiked around it We had people coming out of there yards on numerous occasions telling us we were trespassing when we were 30 feet from there yards in a designated public park and there was not a single sign posted because we were still in the park but they called the police anyways and they show up and just watch us then leave but its straight crazy that people act like that here when your close to there private property with out actually being on it they cuss at you and threaten your family then call the police and this is not a 1 time incident it happened in 3 separate places in 1 week. These people in Scottsdale are a bunch of egotistical territorial Pyschopaths and there are better places to take your family to have fun and be safe if you feel like hiking but if your gonna stay in the center of the park you should be pretty good.
