We had a nice visit! Mostly fun for the kids but also very chill for adults. The short 3D movie about butterfly migration was nice and educational. Also remember not to touch the real butterflies! My first instinct was to reach out to them since they are so pretty but I caught myself. They also had a mini aquarium/reptile exhibit that you can walk through after the butterfly area. Highly recommended to stop by if youre in the area.

A lovely place to bring the butterfly lover in your life. My favorite part is the hatching area just outside the butterfly enclosure. Its fascinating to watch the butterflies emerge from their chrysalis. They maintain a nice variety of butterflies and a peaceful setting in the enclosure. The plant life provides a lovely backdrop to the butterflies and the calming music really helps to set the scene.

Really beautiful to see..just prepare for the climate. Pretty warm and humid, tropical environment in the sanctuary. Very friendly staff. Short 3d film on monarch butterflies is interesting for all ages. Face mask is required..so again..be prepared for the tropical environment. The multi entertainment ticket is your best bet, a little pricey for just the butterfly exhibit especially due to the fact that you really cannot stay in there for too long due to the heat. There is a small aquatic and reptile walk through exhibit included. Fun day!!

This was a cool experience and def something unique that my family hadnt done before. Everyone that worked there was super friendly and they tried to enforce social distancing guidelines when they could which I appreciated. The walkthrough was kind of short. Although, I was pleasantly surprised that they had an area for fish and reptiles. Dont repeat my mistake and go on a day thats blazing hot. The heat mixed with the humidity in the butterfly outdoor space must be what hell feels like. Regardless of the weather, the tickets are overpriced. I personally wouldnt go back because I feel like theres nothing else to see. Look online for coupons! I found a decent one on Valpak.

We had a great time here. Definitely fun for all ages. The entire duration of the visit was fairly short lived due to the heat and humidity inside the area with the butterflies. We had a 1yr old with us who had an absolute blast walking around and exploring everything. They have a nice 3D movie they play that is interesting and out son was hooked the whole time which is surprising given the fact he is young and likes to walk around at his leasure. If you are planning to make it a day I would fit the Odysea aquarium into your plans as well after 4pm.

Pretty cool place, they have an entire room where you can walk around and see the butterflies. Just gotta be sure not to touch them. They have an educational short film they show detailing migration. They take your picture when you go in which is nice (available for purchase in their gift shop or you can buy them online later on). They have a handful of exhibits with snakes, spiders, butterflies, fish, and they have a shark pool. Its a family friendly activity. There is AC and in the butterfly room where AC isnt possible, they have misters

I went here with no expectations, my family was just looking to do something out of the house. I was impressed by this place. There are even some chickens and it was fun to try and find them.

Nice place to see a glimpse of nature and learn about different creatures. There is more than butterflies at this location. Try to find the chicken wandering with the butterflies! There are reptiles and fish from around the world. The cost is a little high, but what attractions in Scottsdale arent? There is a cafe to grab a bite to eat after you spend some time with the butterflies. The only reason its not 5 star is because the price is a little high and there is only one place to use the restroom at the entrance.

If you have curious, excited children - stay away. I spent $50 to be disrespected by the employees working there. Rarely do I ever leave reviews, but felt it was necessary to warn others from wasting their money here. From the time I walked in to the time we left all of the ladies working here were far from kind or understanding of typical child behavior. For safety reasons you cannot run in the butterfly area or touch the butterflies, rightfully so. I understand and supported their rules posted and then rudely enforced by employees, but for a 4 year old that loves bugs and nature he had a hard time containing his excitement. Twice while being there the girl monitoring the door called in other workers to follow me and my kids and provide additional instruction to follow the rules (which I was already instructing my kids to do so). I felt so uncomfortable during our stay. It honestly took me back to jr high days when the cranky hall monitor would scream anytime you showed any joy in your eyes. Heaven forbid we lovingly correct a curious child excited about seeing butterflies. I was planning on buying a pass. Definitely wouldn’t spend another dollar here.

We really enjoyed Butterfly Wonderland and you really need to check this place out if you are in the area. Also, the chickens are cute :)This is located where Odysea is located and there is ample parking and its right off the 101 in Scottsdale. There are places there to get ice cream, food, drinks and adult beverages.I like the educational aspect of this place, the fact that you can interact with the butterflies and its just a nice day out.Definitely check this place out and spend a day here going to the aquarium, learning and interacting with the butterflies, have an ice cream and beer or other food.

This was a fun place for the kids, a lot of education things for the to take part in. They have a 3d movie that last 14 minutes, that everyone enjoyed. The kids kept trying to touch the butterflies and laughed a lot. Which as a parent I like. The only downside I saw is 2 adults, and 2 small children cost 95 dollars including tax. We tried to kill time and did most things twice. Maybe 2 hours of time killing. I think 50 dollars would have been reasonable. I did see people turn and leave because of cost.

The animals look heathly and the bees and butterflies are beautiful. Just need more space in my opinion. I would recommend a visit.

This is just a nice relaxing place. I take my wife here for dates and also my 72 yr old Mom (wgo is wheelchair bound). It is a little expensive, so membership is your best bet because it includes OdySea too.You can easily spend 2-3 hours here. I recommend watching the short film, it is really nice. The atrium is relaxing, but be advised, if it is hot outside, it is hot in the atrium too. The temps are about 10 degrees cooler than outside. The butterflies are most active between 9am and 3pm, so if you come late, you wont see as much. Also, the bees are really cool to watch, I missed them on the first 2 visits.Other than the butterflies there is a really neat reptile exhibit. In addition, there is a great acquarium area with lots of fish to look at. The bug vending machine is a neat touch too. The gift shop gas some really neat clothing as well.

The garden itself is the main attraction. There are around 2000 butterflies at any given time flying around. Very pretty display and well tended garden. If youre patient and still enough a butterfly might even land on you.I give it four stars and not five because theres not a lot to the exhibit. Theres a nice 15 minute 3D movie you can watch prior to the garden. And a small restaurant and gift shop after and that pretty much it. Theres a couple very small exhibits that branch out from it that have nothing to do with butterflies. Its all worth seeing at least once - more than once if you really like butterflies. But aside from that it can potentially be a short visit for the money. This place is more a case of you get out of it how much you put into it. Or rather, how much time you linger and enjoy it because it can go by fast.

Coolest experience ever... I felt like a child on vacation but that’s totally okay with me.. I would go back every time I’m in town. It’s definitely overpriced but worth it to experience it at least once! The 3D film is a little weird for the general public.. reminded me of being on a school field trip but nonetheless it was knowledgeable. It was way too overcrowded in each room you have to through to get to the next part of the exhibit which is unfortunate. The staff are also kind of rude and seemed to all be in bad moods or just aren’t the right people to deal with large crowds or the amount of people that come and go throughout the day.Best part that makes this review deserve four stars: the butterflies of course! How spectacular to be in a sanctuary surrounded by hundreds of them flying around and landing on you. So neat to see all the different species and colours. Also included in this wonderland is a separate room/exhibit of lizards, a few fish and other creepy crawlers.
