A very neat place to stop in a walk around! There’s a large dog park, two restroom locations, soccer fields, and decent parking. They have so many plants, trees, bushes, and cacti. Many of them are labeled with little signs giving the name. There’s multiple locations with a map to share where you are. The Mesquite Bosque was very calm and tranquil. I really liked that. The Water Harvest Basin was super cool and visually appealing.

Nice example of xeriscape with a focus on basic desert plants and interesting rock formations in multiple contours and elevations.

Its just a really nice place with lots of desert foliage, succulants, botanicals and thats a good example of limited water usage for lush landscaping in the desert. I enjoy all the little buildings and little paths. Its a nice place to take a walk.

This is a pretty small garden next to the Chaparral Dog Park (a 14 minute walk away from the Chaparral Park/lake area). It took me about 15-20 minutes to walk through the whole garden and read all the signs. Some of the signs kind of repeat themself (For example, theres one that goes over how to set up your house so that water flows correctly to the plants; saw that same sign at least 3 times). The water basin near the street looked peaceful. I then walked up and took the dirt path past the restrooms toward another pavilion which was well shaded but didnt have much to see. (Highlight in that pavilion were the lavender hued flowers). The trail then ended at a spiral shaped trail and toward the bottom of that trail it became muddy and there were some flies buzzing about...An ok short walk. :)

Not exactly the large botanical garden venue I thought it was going to be based on the website, but very nice park with lots of indigenous plants and educational material

Peaceful and interesting garden adjacent to Chaparral Park. Wide paved paths are great for walking or cycling and offer close up views of native plants. Stunning modern architecture out of reclaimed materials nod to conservation efforts. Public restrooms on either end are clean.
