Its open now with morning tournaments limited to 100 entries. 7 players to a table with Plexiglass separating the players from each other and the dealers. Mask are required to get in the building and a temperature check is done at the door.Other than that the poker experience is still good. Its tough to make the 10:15am start time and this weekend all 100 seats were full by then, so I may wait to go again until the start times change or more people are allowed in.

Great poker room with over 50 tables! Holdem and Omaha and mixed games. Rake is ok. Lots of good promotions during poker like aces cracked and high hands plus progressive pots. Menu is just OK and a little expensive but if you get a players card the house gives you $1 an hour while playing in the card room. Of course theres a huge resort spa golf and slots too!

On Saturday I drove 40 minutes to find out that they cannot organize tournaments for more than 100 people. so they restrict the sale! and it is a short stack tournament with a fast structure. unprofessional

Disappointed with this hotel and casino. I get it its not their fault they have to make Covid changes but the poker room is so silent now it AWKWARD! Your trapped in between a plastic wall and a little hole to ante up. You can barely hear anything even though it is so quiet. So awful. Where is the fun? No smack talk, no tells, no nothing so blah! Ugh hated it

They are trying very hard to accommodate poker players of every level while maintaining social distancing and cleaning all players areas between each player. There are plexiglass dividers between all seats and they are still able to seat 7 per table. The one negative is no food service or eating in the poker room at any time.

Full kill limit holdem games all the way up to $20/$40 (except theres no kill in $20/$40 game) and the $3/$300 holdem game is very decent. I like that the poker dealers dont pool tips. I like knowing that my individual tip goes to the individual dealer. Not all dealers are equal!

Get there an hour early if you wish to play in poker tournaments. Start time 10:15. 100 person limit. No standbys. But its the only live poker in town.

Coming from East Coast casinos, theres some variances in etiquette and table management in AZ poker rooms. Ask questions and dont assume anything, regardless of how experienced you are. Otherwise, well run tournament, friendly staff and good layout. With incredible TV setups, its an ideal Sunday for those who are both poker and football fans!

Best Poker Room Ive ever been to. Great food. Staff is friendly. Only issue is that floor managers are inconsistent when making judgment calls on situations that arise at the table. Have never heard the same resolution when witnessing identical situations. Rules change with the direction of the wind.

Employees wouldnt accept my temporary drivers license and denied me entry into the NLHE tournament. Said they knew it didnt make sense but it was their policy. Good gig if you can turn away paying customers.

Excellent poker room if youre looking for a game. Huge, good service, large number of games at many levels, restroom close by. They offer a lot of tournaments, and they are managed intelligently, with excellent dealers who control the game well.

Players beware.I played at a 2/3 Holdem $300 limit table for about 4 hours and among the players was a gentleman in his 60s who reminded us often that hes won several championships and won the Arizona Championship some 20 years ago and, as the heir of a wealthy family fortune, was independently wealthy and did not have to work. It was also clear from all the dealers that came to the table that is he was well-known for being a regular, someone whose play created large pots and was a generous tipper.Then came a hand with four people in it and the pot grew large. On the river the same gentleman pushed $200 on the river, one player folded, one player called, and then the player just to my left announced: Call. Then just as he revealed and tabled his hand face-up, he said: I have a straight - if you have a boat you win. and indeed, he showed the low and high end of a straight. The dealer took his face-up cards, hesitated for a moment in a gesture that I interpreted to be showing the cards for all the see and then put them in the muck because the action was over and immediately proceeded to count out the chip of the other players.All was good up to now until the dealer began pushing chips in of the direction of our champion player who had one of the losing hands. The winner became alarmed and exclaimed: HEY! Why are you pushing the chips to HIM? The dealer said she thought he had folded. I immediately said: No, he clearly called.The losing player, our infamous champion, who was wrongly receiving the chips, said:

Super friendly staff and a great variation of games to play. Im no pro poker player, so I play $3/$300. I can sit and play for hours! Great spot for grabbing a few drinks and watching the game. I have zero complaints about the Arena Poker Room. Definitely my go to place for all my poker needs. They even have smoke-free blackjack available in the poker room!

Although a very nice place and staff... the automated poker machines shufflers are used to alter the natural odds. Its cheating the players. I am sure too. This is my kind of poker room. Some of the best AZ players play here and the AZs State Championship is also hosted here. Nice and big with a wide selections of live games and Tournaments. The service is great too... but I love it cuz of all the characters that go there. Your bound to get some good hands in this joint...doesnt always guarentee a win tho!

My hubby and I stopped by to play some poker while between family members homes for the Christmas holidays.We were sat at the same poker table by a side entrance (I mistook it for an employee entrance at first glance).My purse sat on a table between us. A “gentleman” came, hooked his toe on the table and slowly moved the table back...picked up my purse and BAM out the perfect.y situated side door he went.I noticed almost immediately..I know I know..my fault for not hooking the purse up.Here’s the negative.Due to what was INSIDE of the purse we opted to contact the sheriffs department to file a report.While still being treated appropriately, we knew the casino staff was not happy with this decision. Little did we know it would affect the outcome of the story.Funny thing, an officer went to that same casino...where they had ALL OF MY INFORMATION to find my info after finding my purse (it was found a week later not far from the casino in a dirt ditch). The casino had “no reports” of my stolen purse. You see, they were upset that I had contacted the sheriffs department so they discarded my information which in turn made it VERY difficult for the sheriffs department to find me.The officer noted a Gold Star Mother ID card and made it his mission to find me.No thanks to the security team at Talking Stick.... my purse was returned minus the cash inside. As a woman poker player, I will NEVER feel comfortable going to this poker room UNLESS I clip my purse to my side. I mean, how many purses are found inside of a poker room? I’ll answer for you....not many. Nice snag Mr criminal, too bad you missed the value of the purse (over $2500) the iPad($600) was still charged (in fact I’m writing the review on it now) the $5000(yes thousand) dollars worth of medication YOU MISSED OUT ON oh and I got my Gold Star Mother card back.... if you wanted the money I would’ve gladly handed it to you......women DONT SIT IN THE FRONT OF THIS ROOM ...AND WATCH YOUR PURSES.

Largest poker room in Arizona that I have been at. Full tables well after midnight on Saturday. I played 3-6 spread for the first time. Table had a good mix of new and old players.
