The new casino is beautiful. The slot machines are elegant looking. There are many machines that are protected with a plastic shield making us feel safe with Covid-19. Great casino. A must try. Bonus 100% smoke free.

First time here, only had been open a few weeks. This place is 10 times better than the DD casino that opened up a few months back. Bigger, NO smoking which Is awesome. New keno games? Lots of choices for poker machines. They had table games as well. The only bad part is it is so far away. But totally worth it!!

We visited We-Ko-Pa Casino for the first time on Monday, Nov 9th, 2020. We used to like to play video Keno at Fort McDowell Casino so we thought wed try this new casino near Fort McDowell. Big mistake! The Keno here is lousy!There are very few Keno machines and absolutely no multi-card Keno machines here at all (other than new varieties of 4-card Keno)!The new varieties of Keno games are called Target Lock and Ultimate X Keno which are very difficult to understand and seem to have very low odds of winning. And even worse, nobody is even willing to learn how to play them! They want to play multi-card Keno like they offer at every other Casino in the world! See photos of these new Keno games below.So if you like Keno, like us, you probably wont be coming back here anytime soon!

We Ko Pa is awesome. LOVED the non-smoking thing. Parking... fantastic. Staff... fantastic. Taking care of Veterans... FANTASTIC. Service in the Sports Bar... terrible. Yes, they were filming a commercial on Veterans Day, but they seat you, and it shouldnt take 15 minutes to get a beer. The waitress should keep track of your order. I dont think our waitress was in the right line of work. Too bad, because the rest was great. Get in there, youll like it!

So very impressed with the new casino. Even as a smoker, I appreciate the non smoking atmosphere. Lots of machines, managers visible on the floor and even proactively stopped to assist with a machine issue I was having. Also, kudos to the hot water in the restrooms, and adequate outdoor smoker sections. Great start, please keep it up!

I like the new casino, but for a Friday night it was empty.The buffet was open but I wont pay 44 dollars, thats Vegas pricing.The spots bar was empty, any wonder why? The food sucks and the menu is dark and hard to read.The old casino had a dining room with a great menu and the prices were low, food was awesome. It seems that they are trying to go high end, but failing. Hey WKP, I can go to Ak-Chin and eat better for free off my points and stay for free.HINT HINT

Very nice new casino. Although I feel that the Sports Lounge should have some more comfortable chairs. And put couches in there and stuff like that. Way too plain in there. Doesnt look at all like a Sports Lounge. Theres also no Decor in there, nothing.

Delightful...simply a delightful experience! If you ever went to the old Ft. MacDowell casino and resort, be prepared for a shock - the new We-Ko-Pa casino resort is incredible! We went for an overnight stay in the luxurious hotel. Everything and everyone was fantastic. We ate at Ahnala restaurant for lunch (pro tip: if you stay in the hotel your resort fee includes a free appetizer with purchase of an entree). The food was wonderful. Get the French Dip or the Quesadilla. The casino is completely new and wonderful. The bingo lounge is incredible and has great food too (at reasonable prices). And the buffet - a MUST DO EVENT. The buffet is covid-conscious and guests are served. The food is delicious, with stations to choose what you like. This is the most friendly group of people, and throughout the entire resort. I highly recommend going for an overnight get-a-way. Youll love it!

Loved it!! Check in was so smooth, even though we checked in pretty late ( after 10p.m.). The room was ur normal resort type decor but it was soo clean. The casino looked a lil aged and tore back. I thought it was recently remodeled but it didnt look like it. So Im hoping that they just havent finished the cadino floor part yet. They did have a lot if slots but not a lot of $1 and up slots. And there wasnt a designated high roller room. The casino floor had no coordinationto placementof slots which sucked. . The price was average compared to other hotels in area. They did charge a extremely high resort fee which I think should be waived for those who live in Arizona. Every other casino or resort in other states Ive stayed at waive the fee for locals. I would definitely stay here more often if they waived the resirt fee but until then I probably wont stay again.

We were really looking forward to our stay at We KO PA Resort to celebrate my daughters birthday. However, upon finding a bug, then another bug, and even another bug, we decided to call the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. In the meantime, we did some research online, and realized that they were bed bugs. While we waited for a return call, we started looking around the seams of the sheets, and found cigarette packs crush and stuffed in between the mattresses. We also went to the soda machine to get a Dr Pepper, and got a bottle of water. I had left a message for housekeeping to contact me, but they didnt. After I videotaped one of the bugs crawling on the chair, I called again, got placed on hold, and finally was told that they would move me to another room. They never offered anything as far as the inconvenience or stress. We were very disappointed.

Did not stay went to play at new we ko pa casino. I was not impressed. Machines were not paying. They took away all the fun slotMachines the Fort had. I loved the old fort.Will not go back.

Just when I thought a casino couldnt get any tighter with their slots, We-Ko-Pa goes and proves me wrong. When you put $20 in a machine and play .88 a spin that is 25 spins at least. You would figure that if the odds were set according to government standards to at least win enough to get to 30 spins. That is only $4.00 to payout. Twice this morning I fed a crisp $20 bill to a machine and twice this morning I played exactly 25 spins. I didnt even get a .01 payout on one spin. 50 spins with nothing. We-Ko-Pa is now We-No-Go as far as Im concerned. Wont be back. ODDS ARE STACKED PEOPLE.

Beautiful new casino. Not enough bars open after midnight, no additional auxiliary soda/water stations after 10pm when the casino was really busy. Limited amount of older penny slots with plexiglass dividers available, plexiglass only between newer slots. Poker room is nice, but only 1 game going on Friday Grand opening weekend. I wish they would have put a bathroom in the poker room.

I was impressed with the new casino and restaurants. Its all brand new including a lot of new slots. I recommend checking it out yourself.

Fountain hills? Try west NM! The best part of this casino was the Mac n cheese at The Market, which was delicious but barely worth $4. I played poker and aftter losing $100 playing very conservatively I finally won my only possible hand to win. Then, two hands later, I was dealt pocket aces. They have aces cracked for $100 24/7 unless a sports game is on. I wTed until the third quarter before even getting sat. I had no part in any of their promotions my aces got cracked. The dealer said Id get $100. Then the bosses said he messed up. $150 dollars later, I told them I wouldnt be back. They didnt even blink. K bye!!!!!!!!

Stayed on a Saturday night for a relaxing staycation. Overall the hotel was a good experience. The original check in person was not very helpful and was trying to charge a 30$ early check in fee since we were there 20mins prior to 2pm. The first room we were in was sandwiched between rooms where they had loud music playing and going in and out of all of the rooms. The front desk manager (I didnt get a name unfortunately) was very helpful and got us switched into a much quieter room away from that. The rooms themselves were very clean and comfortable. They had hand sanitizer in all the high touch areas and enforced masks and social distancing.

Hotel was nicer than expected and reasonably priced. Construction nearing completion for new casino addition. Grand opening 10/29. Ill be there.

We stayed a couple of weeks before the new casino was scheduled to open, the room was very nice. Came back after casino reopened and am extremely disappointed since they replaced many machines I used to make the trip to go and play. Wont be back as often.

Nice quieter resort. Pool wasnt crowded on a June weekend (temps were in the low 100s). Bell hop (or whatever they are called now) was super friendly, helpful, gave us some good places to eat. Beds were AWFUL. My back and neck are still hurting and thats not something Ive had before. You can hear yourself clunk when you sit or lay down on the bed. It almost sounds like the mattress is sitting on a plywood box. That reason alone, we probably wont be going back. Food selections were really minimal and the wait staff at the restaurant was disinterested at best. We literally had to go find someone for the check and then again to get change. But the pool was lovely and the views of the desert were beautiful.

Might be just trying to make the comparison to the old building but the new casino just doesnt have the same feeling as Fort Mcdowell did.Dont understand why the Fort needed to be renovated into the new building? The Fort had always been the top pick when we wanted to go to the casino. Think this was a keep up with the jonses type upgrade and hopefully works out but for me will be going elsewhere now. The awesome appeal of The Fort was the building. The History and the legend to go along with it. The Fort was actually a Fort and thats what made it uniquely one of a kind. There was no other place like it in AZ and now maybe never again.You also took away a lot of the fun slots in the move as well.

At first we were so surprised at the exceptional service. Then we won some money and they said they would comp our room. The next day they locked us out of the room and escorted us to the room and off the property. Said it wasnt in the computer. I tipped over 2000 and still got the boot. Wasnt expecting that!

The resort was very well maintained. Rooms were nice and clean. Keurigs in the room were a nice touch for a morning cup of coffee. The view from my room was amazing, over the pool, watching the sunrise over the mountains. However, the other side faces the construction which is less than optimal. I was here for a work conference and not the golf or casino, but I heard fantastic things about the course from others that came in early and played, and many of my coworkers won money in the casino, so that’s a plus! From a convention perspective, they did a fantastic job taking care of our group of over 300. All the rooms were nice, chairs were comfortable. All food including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a seated dinner was very good. I would definitely recommend this place for a convention.

Gaming not all that great, but I sure had a blast at the pool and nice clean hotel rooms! Im a very picky guest and not even I complained once about their services and rooms...ALWAYS CLEAN...JUST THE WAY I LOVE IT! This is a great resort for people who just want to just hang around the pool, play golf, or doing spa during the day, and then hit the casino at night. Basically, just relaxing at this resort 24/7. Its quite far from downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale. They do have shuttles to nearby Fountain hills area. Bed is comfy, all furnishings are good quality. Overall a good stay but youll need a car if you want to venture out to the city and other metro areas.

This “resort” is in the perfect area! It would have even been better if it was sunny out to go to the pool. The pool is a 4. I gave it a three because I’m surprised it’s labeled as a “resort.” If it was labeled as a hotel, I would have given it a 4. The rooms are average to a room I would be at the Hilton or radiation blu. They have an attached casino if you are into that. The restaurant has really good tortilla soup. Overall, it’s not bad, it’s not great.

My boyfriend and I take staycations several times through out the year. We were very excited to stay at the “new” We Ko Pa. The hotel is nice and the room was clean however we had no hot water. It was luke warm. The remote for the tv didn’t work unless you stood in front of the tv. The casino was soooo smoky! My boyfriend is a smoker and he couldn’t even take it. We decided to try the only sit down restaurant. I got a Caesar salad that was way over dressed. My boyfriend got a hamburger that he couldn’t even finish. It was a frozen party they had thrown on the grill. It was not edible. When our server mentioned he didn’t eat. We told her it was not good. She didn’t say anything besides clearing our plates. We then waited 15 mins to pay. She brought the check with no pen so we had to hunt her down again so we could sign it. We were very disappointed and will not stay here again. Nothing that is being advertised as new is even open yet! Do not waste your money! In addition I was charged twice for my one night stay. I had to called and speak to accounting once we got home to be refunded for the additional charge.

Great surprise luxury hotel in the far East Valley. Rooms were nice! Some of the softest pillows Ive encountered. Super friendly staff who were more than accommodating. I was there for a work event and the conference rooms were fantastic and the food incredible. Would recommend to anyone and there is a casino right next door if you want to try your hand with lady luck.

Came here for a massage. Bought a Groupon for my parents and my self. You do need to pay gratitude, it’s about $16 a person.Definitely different then other hotels I went too. They don’t have a locker room or robe or slippers. So bring your one shoes for the pool. You carry your stuff to the pool & in the room where you get your massage. You change in the massage room.We were late but glad they fit us in their schedule cause we tried calling in before but no one answered.My massage was great. Definitely hit the points that needed it. My parents wanted harder pressure but didn’t receive it. I thought mine was hard pressure or maybe I’m just fragile.We got to go to the pool. The big pool with water running was so cold. There’s a smaller one that isn’t that cold. There’s 2 jacuzzis. There’s a bar outside. They gave us drink tickets and $5 off food or beverage from the bar.

We had a great time! Rooms are spacious, clean and have many upgrades. Robe was in the closest with the safe, soaps etc were from Bath and Body and actually smelled good! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The casino is a short walk away, less than a minute from hotel exit. Valet was included with the stay. Highly recommend this hotel, we enjoyed our stay cation!

The hotel room itself was nice but many of the staff were rude. You get charged fees for everything that you wouldn’t expect and no one confirms prices with you. The Fort Mcdowell casino staff were the same in the casino. When we asked about the fees and prices when checking out the lady was not helpful or understanding. She didn’t try to make it right or anything. Will not be staying here again.

Beautiful resort, but they need to work on their customer service. We had prepaid for a 3 night stay here. After a late flight, we arrived at 4am to check in to find out that they hadnt reserved a room for us (even though it was already paid for!) and that wed have to stay at the Comfort Inn down the road. The front desk person was not very apologetic and basically said he couldnt do anything to help us till the manager arrived in the morning. After a few hours of sleeping at the lumpy 2 star bed at Comfort Inn, we spoke to the manager who eventually comped our entire stay and offered brunch at the resort restaurant for free, which was very kind. Still had several problems after that though. My sister requested a foam pillow three separate times on our way out and never received one. The cleaning could have been better (didnt replace our mugs and glasses, obvious dust on bedside table, lamp, phone, clock, etc). And the kicker was that when we were checking out, they tried to charge us for the brunch they had offered since they had biffed our reservation. Beautiful area with lots of scenery around. If I come back to the area, I wont choose Wekopa.

We enjoy the ease of going to the casino and walking back & forth to the room. Pool is great . Construction makes dinning a chore. But all in all nice location.

Kinda a drive from Old Scottsdale but worth the trip. Very nice rooms and soon to be new casino. The golf course at We-Ko-Pa is outstanding one of the best courses Ive played on. Staff was very friendly and willing to help.

A very nice resort with wonderful rooms. We were amazed with the sunset view and also the beautiful decorations around the resort.The rooms were the best highlight. Beds are comfy and room was spacious.If you want to get food, go into the casino to buy them as they are cheaper. And there are also a variety of food available in the casino.Overall definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Had a good experience in We-Ko-Pa Resort Hotel. Nice food, good rooms and amenities and worth what you pay for being an upscale resort. I love the location, close to nature drive to Tonto National Park and Saguaro Lake. On the next door Fort McDowell Casino, I saw a couple of winning machines. A place to try and bet, and don’t have a feeling they’re robbing you. Must learn how to control once you win.

Hidden on Yavapai Tribe land, away from the city noise you can rest well. It takes days to discover and admire all of nature wanders. Location and facility are fantastic, however the staff is most attentive. Serafin, one of banquet staff managed some jalapeños to accompany the lunch served. Well done. Casino is for smokers, but plenty to do for everyone outside of that.

Loved the fire pits and pool area. This property is under construction and adding more space, but they do a nice job keeping the additional construction separate.

Has become our yearly Staycation spot. The area is gorgeous and a few degrees cooler than the city. The pool is a definite yes! Salt water with seating ledge all around, allows ya to sit with ur beverage while soaking and sunning. ONLY bummer was we ordered the romance package and the bottle of that arrived was $6 bottle of J. Roget...felt that not worthy of the package. I dont mind an inexpensive bottle of champagne, but that was a little low end feeling for the class of the resort in all honesty.

We enjoyed the pool and spa and walking hand in hand around the resort admiring the scenery.The staff was courteous and most accommodating.Room was quite nice, including water daily. What a difference that made in our stay! Very peaceful surroundings.The food and service at the restaurant was supreme! We enjoyed dining and dancing to the live music. Well done!

I was here for almost a week for a work trip. There is construction going on, but the staff was friendly and willing to help me take luggage to the main lobby via a golf cart. The pool area and fire pits were nice, although some residents were being loud outside late into the night (it didn’t bother me but it could have bothered some.) It was nice to only be a short drive from Fountain Hills. I think once the construction and new casino are done this place will be even better.

This is a very nice resort. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful and the views are amazing! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They offer many options such as a nice pool and hot tub for the family, massage and spa, and several different restaurant choices.They have plenty of entertainment including bands and dancing. The nearby Casino has many machines to choose from.The staff was friendly and did a great job organizing all the catering details for the conference.If you have the chance to visit it I highly recommend it.
