Customer service is fairly well lots of great deals but some if the staff in electronics could be a little more polite

Did the VIP tour (Alcatraz, city tour) last week.they put you on the first boat to the rock.the tour of Alcatraz is very good and we were back at 12.00 for some lunch (provided)then a tour of some San Franciscan highlights. Our tour guide, Jessica was excellent, as was our driver was great, navigating the trolley bus around the very busy streets. The day was great and would thourghly recommend (the weather was a bonus!!) Thankyou Hornblower

We greatly enjoyed the detailed tour of San Francisco by Hornblower Classic Cable Cars. our tour guide Joseph was so friendly, knowledgeable, and gracious. We got lost trying to find the meeting spot and called the office to get better directions. The young woman who answered the phone just kept repeating to put Pier 35 in our GPS which was very frustrating. However, Joseph was very gracious when we came running to the meeting point and explained. He waited until my husband arrived and guided us to the cable car. It was clear throughout the tour that he was a skilled guide as he was able to keep us on topic despite the joker in the group that kept interrupting him. Also, our driver, Mia, was phenomenal. She smoothly maneuvered up the hills and around tight curbs with such expertise! My daughter said it was the BEST tour she ever had!

We had booked the Alcatraz and cable car tour. Arriving at the meeting point we were met by Joseph, who gave us a run down of the days events, telling us when we would need to be where. We had a really interesting tour of Alcatraz and then went back for a nice packed lunch, provided by the tour.The second part of the tour was on the cable car, driven by Igor. This was brilliant, we got to see many parts of Sans Francisco that we would have not seen if we were walking around. The detail and commentary provided by Joseph was fantastic, as he clearly knows his stuff and brought San Francisco to life for us.

I rarely do reviews but I want other visitors to new aware of cancellations without notice. I Booked a tour 1 week ahead of time for my last day in San Francisco and the tour was cancelled without any notice. I had to call to get a refund and was told that they did not even know the tour was cancelled.

What a terrific tour! Curtiss & Mia were excellent tour guide/driver. Saw more than I thought I’d get to see & we even got to cross the Golden Gate Bridge via the cable car. You get to make a few stops at some beautiful places, as well. My favorite part was driving through the National park. Our cable car did experience some issues, but instead of canceling the trip, the guide was able to get a replacement brought out to us so that we could still tour. Great trip and a good way to experience San Francisco.

It was down & only took us 2 stops. It took a while for the alternate bus to come. Communication could have been better. The station workers tried to tell us but most of the passengers couldnt understand anything they said.

Had reservations for my wife and her family when they came from SC to see us. We had a 1pm reservation and got there a little before one and there was no cable car. Waited around for 10 min before calling to see what was going on. While on the phone the lady told us they usually wait 10 min before leaving. After talking with the lady on the phone and her speaking with the manager, we were told there was nothing they could do. So guess what, we are out of $300. Second time coming to SF, was not pleased the first time nor the second.

Some friends and I did the guided tour for $59. We were running a bit late the morning of the tour, but I called ahead and alerted them that we were caught in traffic. They waited on us and continued to provide us with an excellent tour experience on a pretty cold day in June. Our driver, Jeff, and tour guide, Kaira, were very friendly and accommodating. The tour lasted about 3 hours which helped us keep on track with other schedule for the afternoon to Muir woods. Kaira also recommended some great food places to try within the bay.Would definitely recommend the guided tour, unless you have more time to do the hop on and hop off tour yourself.

I highly recommend Hornblower Classic Cable Cars to anyone looking for a high-quality experience in SF with a super helpful staff. I planned a holiday party in SF and wanted a classic cable car to showcase SF beauty as we traveled between spots. Hornblower went above and beyond, exceeding expectations. I worked with the lovely Rachel Wilson, who is a true gem, very diligent and hardworking and thoughtful and made the whole experience so lovely and easy. The price was very in budget and the cable car was so iconic! So happy I found them. Thanks again!!! We will be back for sure!

I was hoping this tour wouldn’t be boring and it definitely was not at all. It exceeded my expectations!!! Our tour guide, Frank, was great as well as our driver, Igor. I enjoyed this tour! I learned a lot about the city and got to see all the different neighborhoods. We were able to stop and sightsee at city hall, Alamo square, and the Golden Gate Bridge which was really cool! If you want to learn more about the city and see a good portion of it, check out this tour!

This tour is an excellent way to see San Francisco. It made my trip. Fun to ride around in a cable car on wheels and going across Golden Gate Bridge in it is spectacular. I had a really hard time finding their location however so get directions before you go.

Definitely go with this company and cable car 54! Their knowledge and friendlyness will have coming back again!

Enjoyed the tour guide and driver for our San Francisco tour of Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge and city tour. They were very informative and professional. I highly recommend this company.

Kai was our tour guide and Dan was our driver. They were both terrific! My family enjoyed the tour and all the excellent information and tips that Kai provided. We would definitely do this again and recommend it to everyone. We also appreciated the military discount.

A delightful tour with guide Julie and driver Dylan. The commentary by Julie was informative and entertaining. We highly commend Dylan for his driving skills.You would need to wrap up warmly on a cold day.

Loved this tour! Vicky was a fabulous (and super sweet) tour guide. Not only that but she was an excellent photographer at all the different stops! Would highly recommend.

Wonderful tour. Robin, our tour guide, was fun and insightful. Ray the driver was great as well. All in all a great chance to see the city.

Loved the experience. It was perfect because I was tired from all the walking so I was able to enjoy all the fabulous hot spots while getting plenty of rest in between.

The tour bus is very loud and bumpy and the speaker/sounds system in the very loud bus barely worked so we could hear the tour guide.

Thank you curt and chesley for the great time on the cable car!!! My daughter Dalila wanted to go to San Francisco and she loved the cable car, even thou th dog didn’t let her see the Golden Gate Bridge it was still awsome!!! And thanks for the birthday wishes!!

Good trip

The tour guide was awful. She laughed at her Own unfunny jokes (into the mike) , Unfunny jokes that she delivered as if she had delivered the very same jokes 200 times before . Keep the jokes to yourself! She also constantly talked about the cost of a hotel room in SF ( vs staying at the motels of Lombard street) and the cost of a house in pac heights. Very uninteresting and nobody wants to know. She was terrible and really represented SF terribly!As a company, Id make sure your tour guides are trained in SF history and stick with the script ! She really liked to tell us her favorite burger joint and her favorite place to get seafood etc... Nobody wants to hear !!!

Ok tour guides, but very frustrated with getting picked up at the stops. Bus drove right by us. We decided not to get off again for fear of getting stuck. Very uncomfortable seats.

If its busy they are good.
