Great but need to be better about seating. Bought a single seat but had a stranger seated next to me. Not exactly COVID friendly.

The perfect place to see movies on a big screen, such as the Star Wars movies. They have special decorations and characters dressed up, like storm troopers and Darth Vadar for Star Wars. Even the snacks were themed for the Star Wars movies weve attended. They have beer and wine. Great sound system.

This is a really good IMAX theater. They have decent prices and now one can take drinks in from the attached restaurant. Theres a nice bar at the attached restaurant to sit at while waiting to go into the theater. The seats are very nice in the theater. We love to see the big movies here when possible. It makes the movies come to life.

Premier membership pays for itself by seeing a movie every couple months... we just saw Alita in 3D - it was awesome!!The cafe next door provides pagers & the food can be taken into the theater; order w more than enough time, though... they get busy!Local IMAX in downtown Raleigh. Fresh popcorn!Comfortable seats, huge screen, great sound for a theater experience.If you havent been to an IMAX, the auditorium is steeply sloped & you sit seemingly closer to the screen (which is enormous, btw!). The surround sound is much better than the typical theater making the experience much more (virtually) interactive.I didnt see a 3D this time, but have in other IMAX theaters. Given the chance, IMAX 3D is amazing - give it a shot.

Thus was a great time out. Downtown is clean safe and well kept. The theater is top notch, the IMAX experience is worth the trip there. A parking deck was right by the theater. And it was free on the Sat we were there

A place where a kid can truly be what/who ever they want to be. This place is so awesome. The kids love it... and so do I! With over 14 imaginative areas to explore. They have great events and activities for the kids to do. Rainy days do have a rainbow w/ a pot of Gold at the end. Its Marbles kids Museum. FYI parents with 2+ kids bring a friend or family member to join youll want a extra pair of hand. And theyll love it too!

Best IMAX in NC. I have visit every IMAX in the Raleigh Area and this Marbels IMAX its by far the best. You can really appreciate the 3D effects of the film. My family was really impressed by the quality of the picture and sound. We really really recommend you come and truly enjoy a great theater.

Great screen and sound. Entry and seating are poorly managed though. We bought tickets for a 1:30 show and got in line at 1:00, expecting they would open the doors ahead of time to let people get seated, do previews, etc.Instead, they kept the doors closed right up until 1:30 while a couple large groups for birthday parties came in, met characters, took photos, and then got seated.Suggestions: you gotta open doors a few minutes before showtime. Have your big groups come earlier rather than keeping everyone else waiting longerLet people know when they buy tickets if a large group is getting advanced seating. Sucks to spend fifty bucks in tickets and not even have a shot at the best seats.

Not the biggest IMAX- but still a great place to see the new blockbuster movies. Drawbacks are no reserved seats and the theater is a little crammed compared to more newly remodeled rooms around town. Marbles does a great job at organizing large events and making sure everyone enjoys the experience.

Great place for kids! Let them get all of their energy out. They also have special dates for adults only!

Very happy with the facility. Everything is in very good condition. The seats lean back just a little I think, and the armrests fold down with a cup holder at the end . we enjoyed watching polar express in 3D.

I cant really speak to the museum side but we see every movie that comes to the iMax there. As an iMax member it is not too expensive to see the movies with popcorn and a drink. We go there enough that most of the employees recognize us and they are always willing to let us know what they think of the shows that are playing. We really feel like we they care that we have a good time.

I watched the new Ford vs Ferrari there last week. It was a regular 2-D film and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Specifically, the sound at IMAX made it particularly enjoyable as the film made great use of surround sound. The screen was obviously huge and makes for a very immersive viewing experience.

When my daughter was younger we absolutely enjoyed every minute of the marbles museum/ marbles IMAX. It was kinda pricey but worth every penny I spent my daughter would stay in the museum for hours on end dressing up as different characters exploring the museum having a wonderful time. Now she’s 10 I guess she’s too old for marbleslol

If youre Seating in the top half of the theater its amazing. The closer your get to the screen the more vertical your head becomes, quicker then a regular movie theater . That didnt bother me so much as the movie was in 3D and everything was blurry. This IMO is too small of a space to fit that many seats. It was not enjoyable. We saw Star Wars the last jedi and when the movie was over the entire back half of the movie theater applauded and the front half was silent, coincidence? I bet this theater loses about half there repeat customers depending on where they are seated the first time they go. If you expect to get a good seat go very, very early. We arrived an hour early and we were #205&206. Thats right they give you #s as you walk in the door and you go into the theater the same order you arrived. So if you dont want a disappointing night, show up at least 2 hours before showtime. Possibly earlier if its a highly anticipated movie.

The people are nice but the seats are uncomfortable and way too close to the screen. Theres not much of a concession stand and the way they do ticketing is kludgy at best

Best way to watch a visually huge movie. Dont buy tickets online. Just go early and avoid the $6 added fee.

This place is so classy. I love the atmosphere. The Elsa model posing for pics was a huge plus

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. Huge screens and comfortable seating. It’s nestled right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.

Pretty good theater for the price. Students get discount too. However, the chairs could be more comfortable. The 3d glasses provided were heavy and not comfortable on my ears at all. Wish they provided more flavors of popcorn too. Right now they only sell simple butter popcorn.

Loved the movies and my family enjoyed the big screen! This is different from a regular movie because it’s such a bigger screen and better sound quality! I watch the lion king and it was great

Awesome place for kids and for parents to kinda get a break :). Inexpensive and you can leave and come back!! I wish they had more attendants the areas to assist with monitoring children. Great place!!!

Its a nice place. Needs better parking but that could just be the location. Would have been helpful if they had some parking information on their website. I drove around and around for 30 minutes trying to figure out where to park. Nice theater though.

An authentic IMAX experience! Its been years since Ive been to a true imax theater and not one of the licensed brand ones. It was an amazing experience seeing the Reel Rock film fest, and Im happy to know its close by. Ill be going again!

Went on friday the week toy story 4 came out it was my first time here. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING . Its a whole different cinematic experience me and my girls loved it. The prices are good the items are awesome and friendly staff good place to take the family, i highly recommend.

We went to the IMAX theater yesterday to see a movie, and we found it very nice - comfortable, great view, and great sound system. Recommended

IMAX at Marbles is one of the cheapest, cleanest theaters. Out family loves going here for all the star wars movies.

As a family, we went to IMax for the Babypalooza. It was well done. The chosen room was a bit small. I would like to have had more vendors and more elbow room. With what the building has to offer in space, it was well done.

I really enjoy this theaters experience. The sound & the screen are awesome. Membership program is very enticing as well. Seating is spacious and comfortable as well!2 downsides; theres only ONE screen so this place will fill up. Also, its alongside the Marbles Kids Museum so more than likely, lots of kids will be around. Still, a great experience.

Went and saw Star Wars in 3D.All these other movie places can say they have 3D, but until you experience it at a REAL IMAX theater,you havent seen TRUE 3D.Well worth the price of admission.Which is the same as a 3D movie at a non TRUE IMAX theater.

Watched Black Panther in IMAX here and for $11, thats a pretty awesome deal. The seats were comfy and the sound magnificent. Only critique is the space between each row. Im pretty short (52) and my legs bothered the ppl in front of my if I stretched out too much. The staff is nice.

Extremely Rude Staff for a place that gets a huge chunk of their business from school field trips. Management very openly, does a lot of eye rolling and commenting on groups as they come in, if the smallest issue arises.

Never liked this theater- The only real IMAX in the capital of NC and cant purchase tickets through Atom or Fandango and major R-rated IMAX movies aren’t even shown! You have to purchase tickets on Marbles website or at the counter, and on top of that you cant reserve your seat, so you better be the first few in line to get the best seats. It also cost more money to purchase tickets on their website where they charge a $2 Internet Convenience Fee.

The boys and I love movie weekends. We make a whole day of it when we go to the Marbles IMAX. We hit the mall, then grab a nice meal and then go enjoy a good MOVIE on the Gigantic IMAX screen. Its awesome. The real surprise is its cheaper to see a movie there than at our local neighborhood theather.

We went to see the Avengers End Game movie & it was great! Even my daughter whos 6 years old liked it. It was a 3 hour movie! We ate at the food place there & the food was good. We had a great time.

Best place to see a movie in the triangle. Cheap concessions and all profits go back to the musem.

I saw End Game here. The seats were super comfortable to sit for three hours. Recommend! Staff was great and very helpful.

Had a wonderful time watching a 3D movie about butterflies with my seven-year-old niece. She was adorable, reaching her hands out like she was trying to catch the butterflies. :-)

Saw Jurassic world 3d here. The stadium seating is nice and comfy. The sound was a bit on the high side though. Its really nothing that earplugs wouldnt fix.

They waited till 2 close to show time to let us into the theater which made less opportunity to go to the bathroom or get concessions. I spend most of endgame having to pee. Otherwise a nice place

I came to this theater to see Avengers Endgame and it was amazing. I loved how they had a place where we could sit down and wait instead of wait in line.

IMAX is the best way to see action films in my opinion. The seats are comfortable, the theater is clean, and I love the fresh popcorn.

Great! A bug landed on the movie projector, managing to startle a few people inside thinking it was on their 3D glasses. Pretty entertaining overall.

The IMAX theater is pretty small compared to other IMAX places I have been to. But the experience is not so bad. Great for nice local IMAX experience.

Great screen and 3d glasses were nice. Chairs are normal. Price is great for imax and even better for imax3d. Parking was expensive since on street was not available at the time. Definitely will go more often.

Marbles is the best place for kids! The hands on education makes them not even notice they are learning. Even if it’s just one thing!

Best Movie Experience Ever !

If you havent been, you must go. Its the biggest movie screen on earth and it curves in toward you. It feels like youre in the movie.

I watched Avengers, the Infinity war and the End game, and I love the quality. Its not the biggest IMAX screen but its good enough. I loved the cosplays and free comic books but I hate that they wont let you choose your seat, its FCFS. Also, the front row seats are awful; they dont lean back which I think is common in most theaters but Ive seen theaters that have front-row seats which lean back more than the back seats.

Good venue for Imax. Seats are good, its fairly easy to get to and there is a parking deck right next door. They show the big blockbusters which is what I normally see but also have documentaries and more educational movies. Only issue is seating is still first come first serve. Having assigned seats at other theaters is really nice and gives more flexibility for arrival time to the theater so thats my one complaint. Besides that, nice place.

I loved this place so much for 5 year old. It is so interactive for the kids. They have all sorts of games and activities for all ages and sizes. They have from career like activities ( pretending to be firefighters, to news casters, veterinarian, EMT, etc) they have activities to help kids learn about money; the museum also offers fun science, to learn about electricity and other science in a fun way.They also have extracurricular activities that stimulate he body like basketball, hockey, and much much more. Its an amazing place I recommend for any parent to go.

We love IMax and Marbles! Weve attended several birthday parties for a wide range of ages. Weve attended several of their special events and have never been disappointed! My kids have loved everything from the farm to the pirate ship to the piggy bank! Its a great value as well. My kids LOVE going to see Polar Express around Christmas every year!

We saw Avengers: Infinity War Saturday night at the 10:50 showing, which was sold out. We had gotten our tickets online the night before. None are reserved seating. We did get great seats by sitting on the floor in line for over an hour before it started. The seats are a bit tight compared to the recliners theaters are putting in but they are comfortable enough. Each has its own cupholder. The theater was clean, the price was great for a 3D IMAX movie. Popcorn and drink prices were comparable to other theaters. The screen and sound were very good.

Great screen and seats, audio good, but bass lacks lower end to provide thump (sound is all in the ears and none in the chest)

Pretty basic theater. 2D only. But it’s cheap, so cant complain.

Super friendly staff. Very clean. The 3D quality is the best I have seen. Not exactly sure why, but i was expecting a curved screen in. The screen is flat. Their customer service phone system never led to an actual person to clarify.

Myself and some friends watched alita battle Angel at the IMAX and it was a great experience with great sound and a huge screen. this is definitely a great way to watch a movie and the tickets really arent any more expensive than any other theater.

This is a great place to see a movie and is well worth the price for any major Hollywood film that comes through. Tickets usually end up being about $14. The screen is huge and the sound is fantastic. Get there early so you can get a good seat.

Fairly nice theater situated downtown within walking distance from Fayetteville st. They don’t have a huge amount of selections at the concessions but they have some of the basics.
