Charging emotions! We are surprised to be in this famous square! You look around and the movement of vehicles and pedestrians is incredible (all day and night). All this energy that the square has is impressive. A huge number of people pass through here every day. From all over the world! Everyone stops here to take photos and videos of the brightest buildings in the world! The whole city is a spectacle. Pleasant, kind and willing people work here, and they are ready to help you.

Not what it used to be. some food, and free wifi, along with a tree in the middle with lights on it. Thats the good. In reality, its empty and devoid of life, with little to no community and meeting of people. Three stars is generous.

Its a completely different square since the pandemic. Not so much hustle and bustle. Not overly crowded as it usually is. The COVID 19 virus has changed a lot of places around Portland. So Ill more than likely be changing a few of my reviews. Now back to Pioneer Courthouse Square. Its on all of the Max lines and is pretty much the center of Portlands tourist business. If your here for the Christmas season be sure to go and see the tree lighting event. Maybe might have a white Christmas this year.

Great spot at the end of my day, in the evening, or anytime really, to just find a step, have a seat, enjoy a coffee, read and meditate on my daily devotion, breathe in and enjoy the night air, listen to a few favorite songs, watching people walk by, makes me wonder where my soulmate may be, or what shes doing. Is she looking at the full moon at the same time, thinking of me? Or is it all only just a dream?Whatever entertains your thoughts and mind, this is one of my favorite places downtown! If you do make here, I also recommend visiting The Departure rooftop asian restaurant & lounge, for some great views of pioneer square and downtown. Especially, When the lights go down in the city!

I love Pioneer Courthouse Square! Located in the center of downtown. Its a great location to enjoy a coffee from Starbucks on the square, bring a book, or people watch, while sitting on the brick stairs. There always seems to be some activity, celebration, or special event going on. In the summertime, movies are shown in the evening on a giant inflatable screen. You will also find the TRIMET services and tourism office. Youll have access to brochures, maps, tour book guides, and information from courteous employees about our beautiful City and State. In addition, you can purchase TRIMET passes for our incredible transportation system. All MAX trains can be boarded from the square; North to South, and East to West.Theres always plenty of room to spread out at P.C.S., you never have that feeling that people are invading your personal space or looking over your shoulder. Its a uniquely designed landmark. Stop by soon, I promise youll have a relaxing experience.

You can really call it the heart of Portland. Amazing architecture, surrounded by high-end stores and shops all around, and lovely atmosphere of open settings, food trucks and just people gazing. I try to come here as much as I can, just to sit and eat something nice and look around. Not exaggerating when I say that this could probably be my most favourite place in Portland. Also, it has a great connectivity with the max lines.

One of the best parts of downtown Portland! Its easily accessible and even though its so popular, you really dont have to deal with a ton of people in the middle of the day. Lots of aggressive homeless people. I couldnt eat and enjoy a meal outside in peace without several homeless people trying to get money or food from me, but the worst ones were they 3 other ones that asked me repetitively if I wanted heroin & methamphetamine. So discomforting and disgusting! I recommend to take your food and walk around the block to the park out front of PSU, at least theres security and police hovering so theres not aggressive bums on the prowl for cash or trying to hustle narcotics. Really makes me sad, but would have appreciated a nice peaceful lunch after working all morning and before having to go back to work and finish up.photos from the park I ended up enjoying my lunch in.
