Building may look old but its oceanfront and rooms are remodeled.

I love that the resort has an apartment style. It was cozy and had everything needed just like if I were home. A coffee machine, wine bottle opener, cookie sheet for the oven, dishware and utensils, etc. There’s even a washer and dryer room on site (And the only downside is the machines only take quarters). Everything was clean enough and the view to the beach was amazing. I will be visiting again.

I decided to get away from all the chaos and relax on the beach! This Resort is mostly a Time share owened resort. Its well keep and people are very friendly. I loved my room, which is a small apartment . Pool was relaxing, three pools to choose from. The beach is out the backdoor, so it takes 3 minutes to get there and put your towels down and enjoy. Lots of dining with in walking distance. I will be back!

Great stay. Room 220 is perfect for a couple for a few nights. Right on the beach. Murphy bed is okay comfort wise. Private balcony and easy beach access was great. And the lighthouse view was a plus.

I was only there to do a service but the place is very well managed and a very nice atmosphere if I had to vacation here I would definitely check it out but lucky me ...I live here lol

Staff is friendly. Resort is very clean. Great location right of the beach. Has 3 pools one of which is heated and could stand to be a little warmer, 2 hot tubs, a sauna and a gym. The studio room we stayed it was nice and clean. It could use some sort of hooks to hold the beach towels since all the bathroom hooks are used for regular towels. Sliding glass door was really dirty when we arrived.

Everything was great. Great location. Even with the grills closed and the indoor pool closed, still plenty to do and the private beach access was perfect. I just wish they had an elevator.

Beautiful room! Super clean. Made us feel very safe especially with regards to COVID. Very welcoming staff at the front desk too. Korlina was so kind and helpful.

The entire staff was very accommodating. We first received a small unit with no natural lighting, no outdoor space, and very crowded arrangement. (See pictures below) Upon requesting an upgrade for a minimal fee, our needs were met with a more spacious, apartment-like accommodation. While the construction noise on both sides were bothersome at times, the peace and tranquility of the beach was awesome. The pools were nice and the resort provided many extra activities (water aerobics and crafts). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff, the activities director, the maintenance crew, cleaning lady, and all employees of the resort were gracious and very friendly. We would recommend this resort to others, but I recommend the more spacious, upgraded room. (See pictures below)

The place is great but if your room is on the beach side, you have a long walk with your luggage, beach equipment and food. That was very inconvenient. Also check out is at 10am and under no circumstances you can extend your check out time. That was inconvenient specially if you have an afternoon flight. No help was provided ( a place to leave the luggage etc)

We had a wonderful Memorial Day stay at La Costa! Everything was clean and updated, including the fitness center and laundry facility. We loved the pool and hot tub areas. You are only a few feet from the ocean! They also have organized activities for children and adults (tie dye and karaoke).

Great place to vacation. Staff was friendly, resort was very clean, grounds were very clean and neat, great beach access.Beach chairs were available to rent from a beach vendor. it would have been nice if you could get beach chairs from the resort. Also, we had a lovely room with a great view of the pool and grounds. wish the resort had chairs on the balconies or outside each room. They did have plenty of chairs around the pool areas.

Absolutely beautiful facility everything on the inside was brand new, nicely decorated and very clean, The outside area was groomed daily! The beach was secluded very clean and well kept one of the best vacations I’ve had in years!

We spent 2 nights at this resort in early August 2020. First impressions of the resort were very nice. 2 out of 3 pools were open and some activities were closed due to Covid. Was impressed with the level of preparation to prevent exposure while at the resort. The resort was quiet and very peaceful. Great access and view of the beach from oceanfront rooms. I got a great value for the price paid. The room was very clean and nicely remodeled. Bed was comfortable and large. The kitchen was large and well stocked. Everything you could need was included in the room and impeccably clean. The televisions were on the small side but I dont consider that a con because most people are not there to watch tv. My only two small negatives were that while they mention that 2 pools are open, the smaller of the two has signage saying it is an owner designated pool. We didnt feel comfortable using that pool and chose to use the larger heated pool. That pool was very nice with a relaxing atmosphere. My other small con was that our room had a lingering smell of old smoke in it. Being a former smoker I am pretty sensitive to that smell, but others might not notice it. It is very challenging to remove that smell even after a renovation. Im sure the resort did their best to remove those smells when switching to non smoking. My one last negative is no fault of the resort but people should be aware. Just to the north is a small park/city beach access. In the evening the picnic tables and bushes are used by transients as resting areas. It did affect our comfort level in using the balcony at night with my children due to the language and drinking right next to our balcony. Like I stated before it is not a fault of the resort and is a city issue. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will be returning again. The positives of this wonderful resort far outweigh my small issues.

Simple, clean, comfortable, convienient accomodations at an affordable price. The staff at this property are very friendly and helpful. Upon check in, they gave me tips about how to make the most of my stay. They suggested ordering groceries for this condo style accomodation from Instacart. They told me about places to eat within walking distance and gave coupons. This is a very well maintained older, modernized motel/timeshare building. I could see that they truly care about making the most of these units. Although not new or luxurious, this is exactly what I needed for a short getaway! This is a clean, comfortable and convienient place to stay with direct beachfront and a quiet calm beach. Beautiful mature grounds, pretty landscaping, clean and quiet pool areas :) You need to clean your own room daily, no maid service, However, they have linen exchange. They set the units up with 1 day of coffee and toiletries, the rest is up to the guest to purchase. Upon check out, the staff were again extremely kind and went out of their way to accomodate me and the office staff were outstanding! I had a simple, relaxing stay here.

We used our RCI points and had a family vacation here. The check-in process was the first big let down. When we arrived in the afternoon, the person at the front desk had a sign in the window saying theyd be back 30 mins before the time we got there (so they were 30 mins late from taking a lunch break I guess) and the security guard inside the air conditioned office couldnt let us in there because of COVID precautions. My 2 kids were super, super hot while we stood in the parking lot with out luggage waiting for this person to return. He had called her but she still hadnt shown up. I didnt know if she ever would and started thinking about how nice the Marriott next door looked if we couldnt get in that day! There were 2 other guests also waiting to check in who had been there for an hour or so before we even showed up. They were also very hot and getting upset!!Finally, the super rude front desk person shows up and doesnt even apologize or offer us water or anything. Neither did the security guard, for the record, even though it was like over 90 degrees and very humid in August!The room was so-so. It was clean but not many windows so it felt like a dark basement apartment. The kitchen was nice. The shower heads were terrible.The front desk basically makes you feel like you are inconveniencing them for anything, and they dont give you toilet paper or papertowels if your family goes through the rolls given at check in. They said it was due to covid but they certainly would charge you to buy some in the lobby.Location: If you dont have a car, your options to eat are limited, but nice. The Marriott next door had a great little restaurant and the hotel is right on the sand of a lovely beach.Overall, the location was great, except if you dont have a car and want to leave the beach. But the staff was rude and uncooperative and the room was like a 5/10.

I really liked this place! You cannot beat the morning sunrise, absolutely beautiful, directly facing the ocean. The condo was nice and roomy with lots of helpful amenities.Great area for walking around, people were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.

The room we booked was a studio. It was much too small for 2 people and our luggage. Our room was on the second floor and tbe elevator was broken. The maintenance man did carry our bags up for us.The listing on Expedia says daily room service is provided but since it is a timeshare, ot is not. I think there listing should be changed. The property us on the ocean which is what we prefer.

The staff here make this place feel like home. Fun family activities, the pools are great, and beach side. We cannot wait to come back next year.

Nice little property of condos with a couple pools and direct beach access. Friendly attentive staff, from the office to maintenance to housekeeping to activities. Accommodating of service dogs. There is a lot of variety amongst the different rooms, some are larger than others, and balcony size varies. Parking is a little limited and oversize vehicles maybe experience a slight challenge in parking on site.

My room was very dark. A small window with no natural light at all. The bed was not even a proper bed. It was a fold out bed. There were no other rooms available so I could not move.

The property was very clean. Staff very friendly. The first floor doesn’t provide a good view of the beach. If you request oceanfront ask for anything but the first floor.

A very quiet place to be with the family. Good swimming pools, direct access to the beach and a barbecue area.

I recommend the beach view. Balcony, one bedroom, full kitchen. The hotel is on the beach. I recommend renting beach chairs for the week on the beach. There were always chairs by the pool. I would also rent a car as the stores are about 20 min. away. There is no night life. There was not any college age kids. Very relaxing!

The place is clean and staff friendly. We started with a small room, (actually small livingroom, kitchen and bedroom), but nice. We paid a small upgrade fee and moved to an ocean view with a balcony (See picture). Well worth the fee. Much larger rooms and upgraded kitchen. We still have 2 more days and sorry to leave.

Beautiful ocean front property with really nice rooms from studios to two bedrooms. They also have townhouse style rooms. You can walk right out onto the beach and take an ocean swim, or a doctors in one of their pools. The amenities are great, but the staff is best of all!! The front desk ladies are wonderful, and the Engineering crew (Larry, Scott, and Vince are very friendly and professional. They have activities hells by Susan whos lots of fun, and the GM, Alissa is always there to make sure your start is an enjoyable one!

The front door gets stuck every time you try to open or close it, Murphy bed was horrible, it was so lumpy, about 10 inches away from air conditioner, everytime it kicked i thought I was in a meat locker!Bathroom was very small, shower was so small you could barely turn arouund.When I tried to use oven, it opened about 8 inches before it hit cabinet door handle. I had to remove drawer so I could open it. As I waited for my slice of pizza to heat up I noticed very tiny bugs all over the countertop. Parking lot was always full, lucky I didnt have a car, I wouldnt know where to park it.How this place got high ratings I dont know!This is the first and last time i will stay there.

La Costa Beach Resort was home away from home. They really know how to accommodate their guest. The condos were extremely clean, excellently furnished, awesomely stocked with all the amenities of home, and superbly priced. The staff was A1, very polite, very attentive and very professional. The Grounds were especially nice with two outside pools, one inside heated pool, a outdoor hot tub, two spacious lounge area plus a beach facing Tiki hut. They even had bathrooms outside of your room for convenience. La Costa resort also has a state of the art outdoor grill area. Another huge plus was its proximity to restaurants, shopping centers, neighborhood stores and of course the beach. La costa Beach resort has thought of everything such as inhouse arts and crafts etc. I am sure I am leaving something out because La Costa beach Resort has so much to offer.A big shout out to the general manager for a well ran facility.My wife and I definitely will recommend La Costa Beach resort to all our friends and family. We will also stay there again if ever in the area for any prolonged time.

Nice place. I got a nice one bedroom condo on the ground floor, just feet away from the nice sandy beach. The room was nice and... roomy?!?!?! The only things we needed to bring were beach gear and the food. The staff were all great and helpful.Parking is a bit tight, but there are spots. Spent my time drift fishing and snorkeling. Fished with the Starlight crew which takeoff from the Hillsborough inlet, which is about a quarter mile from this resort. I caught enough fish to last the week. Snorkel right off the beach in your backyard. I love this place. Im going to buy in, because... Ill be back.

Very affordable ocean front property. You can see the rooms are old but wonderfully maintained/renovated and very clean. Our ocean front room on the 2nd floor had most amazing views. People at reception are friendly and will go extra mile to help make your stay better. Amenities are all well kept and we have all good things to say about the location too, just that its far from most attractions and Miami area. Absolutely worth the money they ask for.

Well this time of year its very quiet. We like it except theres construction going on both sides so if you are not an early riser!!I like how clean and well kept it is and the fact our veranda looks over the beach and sunrise.

Compared to other RCI properties we have been to, this place is very small and the amenities were sub par. We stayed in a one bedroom unit with a sleeper sofa. The sofa basically closed in the bedroom when open. We were supposed to be a party of four but unfortunately ended up a party of 3. However, that worked out in our favor as this room was no way large enough for 4 people for one week. The staff was very friendly, but they do not clean or replace linens/towels or toiletries for the entire week. Beach was nice, love the efforts to protect the sea turtles. Chairs and umbrella were available for rent even for owners. We wont be coming back, however many people said they come here every year.

La Coasta Beach Club is a hidden Oasis. Couldnt have picked a better place to spend my vacation!

Great quiet get away. The beach was clean and well maintained. Never crowded either. Really enjoyed the week here. The environment was very relaxing.

Private beach access. Near to restaurants. Easily access highway. Average Uber wait time was less than 3 minutes.

My room smelled like mold and mildew. The sheets were old and we spent money to purchase additional cleaner and room spray. Whoever manages is never in their office and wrote a complete lie on this website saying they spoke with me regarding the problem with my room and they didnt. I assume it was to protect the star rating. Unfortunate because we did have good customer service at check in.

I had a great time here. I agree with the reviews that call the resort quaint and relaxed. It has a good location, right on the beach. It has three really nice pools. The hot tub I used most has fantastically strong jets. The linen, towels, and kitchen utensils, etc., are all in good order.A few minor quibbles: it took a long time for the hot water to flow (but once you know how to do it — which we were taught to do by a very friendly and helpful member of the staff — its just fine), and the mattress on the pullout couch had seen better days (though its likely that it just isnt used that much!).But the staff was fantastic — very helpful and always trying really hard to make sure we were happy. I would definitely recommend this resort!

Nice older, refurbished resort. Nothing luxurious about it, but its clean seemingly. The grounds are kept well. It is directly on the Atlantic Ocean with a beautiful view of the ocean. Its also very close to great shopping and other attractions.

Every staff person we encountered was absolutely awesome. In the 30 years of checking into a timeshares they one was by far the best! The property is old and by far not a luxury vacation spot. If the property was with nice comfortable and well appointed I would have easily given this resort 5 stars. Again, the staff all deserve five plus Stars. However, the property itself in my opinion is only three stars. Having said that, the property and the units are very clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at LaCosta. The grounds were well kept, rooms were nice, and the staff very friendly. The only complaint was that there wasnt much to do in the area. However, we were very pleased with LaCosta and would stay again.

We had a great time with 2 young kids. A lot of the owners are elderly and just love seeing the kids at the pool. Very quiet and always had enough chairs to sit by the pool comfortably without being ontop of other people. My 11 month old loved the heated pool with jets. We were also only a few steps from the beach which was private and wonderful as well. We will be back!

What a great find! Very reasonable rates with parking included, and steps to the beach. One of their three pools was heated, which was perfect for our December stay. This was a great place for relaxed family fun. Having a kitchen helped save money on eating out, and the beach was endless free entertainment as well! I am ready to book it again for next December! I loved our time here.

We have been here one night but it has been great so far. The staff has been very accommodating and the units are quite nice. The buildings are a bit older, but they have done a wonderful job with remodeling the rooms. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is awesome! There are a few pools, hot tubs, saunas and the building is oceanfront. No complaint thus far.

Went in mid October...construction every day, started at 8 am ended 6-6:30 pm. VERY NOISY! View was spectacular but facilities very dated overall. Air conditioning in room sounded like an airplane taking off followed by a groaning sound after it reached the desired temperature! Kitchen was newly modernized, however. The Murphy bed was the worst part; we actually went to a different hotel to sleep at night because the bed was so hard and uncomfortable! Front desk staff were NOT friendly. Chairs and cabanas by the water are for rent, but you can’t bring chairs from your deck with you. The parasailors nearly hit us while we were at the beach—the sport seems great until you have to jump up every few minutes to avoid the sharp sails! Hotel seems focused on telling you all the fees for things you might do wrong (missing beach towels, lost keys, late check out, etc) rather than on helping you to relax. We won’t be back.

A rather small and cozy resort, three basic pools, one with a roof, and it is right on the beach. If you want peace and quiet on the beach, this is a great place. If you want a lot of extras, this is not for you.

This is a hidden gem in Pompano beach. Really nice room with a large deck. The grounds are very lovely and well maintained. And if course, its right on the beach. Loved our stay, would highly recommend this resort.

Clean, on the beach. Walls are too thin, we could hear the housekeepers rolling their carts in the hallway at sunrise. Staff did not seem to care about the noise level.

I was visiting family who has a time share at this hotel. The hotel is cute and quaint, you can just walk right out the back and you after on the beach. Theyre are tons of places to cook /grill for food, showers to rinse off after exiting the ocean. There are even some reefs about 20ft off the shore. They have 3 pools (one indoors and heated, one outdoors and heated, and one outdoors normal pool) and a hot tub. The only problem I had was people were smoking right outside the hot tub.

I do not understand how this place has a single positive review. I would give it 0 stars if I could. These people are shysters.My partner and I stayed here for 2 days in February 2019. My partner read the website thoroughly and called prior to booking to ask specific questions about the place.Firstly, the pictures on the website are very misleading. They only show the nicest one of SEVEN buildings that are on site, and this buildings rooms all face the ocean. This makes it seem like, not only will you get a room that is either very close to the ocean or has an ocean view, but that the place is relatively small and uncrowded. In fact, the seven buildings are absolutely packed with people coming and going at all hours, and the vast majority of the buildings are nowhere near the beach, and are all right on top of each other.The parking lot is very small, especially for how many people this place actually accommodates. We saw several people struggling to find a place to park during our stay.Upon checking in, we were informed - AFTER ALREADY PAYING AND HAVING SPOKEN TO THESE PEOPLE ON THE PHONE - that La Costa Beach Club Resort is a TIMESHARE. I do not feel this is stated anywhere to satisfactory understanding on their website. This is something that I think should be explicitly stated prior to booking, as not everyone is comfortable with the idea of booking a timeshare. Being a timeshare is a loophole that allows them to not have a maid service. The customer is expected to do all of their own dishes, strip their own linens, and gather up all of their garbage and place it in outside dumpsters prior to check out. All for a higher price than a generic hotel that provides a full maid service.On to the state of the actual apartment. Firstly, the doors do not seal properly. There is constantly light streaming into the apartment from around the door, making it look as though the door is always slightly ajar, which it essentially is. Whenever anyone is outside your door making noise, it sounds as though they are about to come into your apartment. Our room smelled overwhelmingly like mildew. Several of the light switches do not work, and the bed is the hardest bed Ive ever slept on. The entire place is vaguely dirty, and the bedroom door does not latch.They claim to provide free wifi. It does not work. The signal is so weak that we could barely connect to it, and when we finally got through, the password the front desk gave us was wrong.Onto some more of the major grievances. We picked this resort specifically because it claimed to have 3 pools, 2 outdoor and one indoor. My partner asked them on the phone prior to booking which pools were heated. He was told that one of the outdoor pools as well as the indoor pool were heated year round. We chose this resort because of that - so that we would be able to swim in the event of chilly weather. As it happened, the weather was chilly. Not only is the indoor pool not indoor (it is simply covered), but none of the pools were heated. My partner confronted the front desk about this, and was told that the indoor pool was never heated and that they werent sure why hed been told that. They also told him that the heater for the one heated outdoor pool had broken 2 days prior to our arrival, and had not been replaced until the morning after our arrival, meaning that pool would not be warm until after we checked out. We were not told this at check-in, or before we paid, but only when we asked almost 12 hours later. Seems intentionally misleading.The beach is not private, which they claim all over their website. It is shared with the other resorts next door. It is closed at night, which we were explicitly told it was not. There also appear to be feral cats roaming the property (just why?). They caterwaul all night. The management clearly knows about this issue, as you are encouraged not to feed them.Overall, disgraceful and shady. Not worth the money or a flight to FL. Dont waste your vacation here.
