Who says Disney is the happiest place on earth? Universal gave me one of my most happiest days. In addition to making sure their patrons were masked and over sanitized, two of their employees went above and beyond: Beth, a volunteer, and Ernesto at the despicable me ride. You wont ever be disappointed by the rides or entertainment, but its how people are treated that makes the experience even more memorable and will have us returning.

Great time over all even despite some of the covid changes. Not all food dinners & snack stands are open right now. The park staff are requiring every guest no matter age to get a pump of hand sanitizing before enter ride. As well as having installed hand sanitizing dispensers at every ride exit. There are staff on walkways ensuring all in attendance are properly wearing their masks or they can be kicked out of park for noncompliance.

Universal was great at balancing all of the covid precautions. Everything was very efficient with fast lines and social distancing. Our longest wait time in 4 days at the park was 40 minutes. Masks were mandatory but Id take the masks any day if that guaranteed the wait times we had on the rides.

Considering how hot it is in Florida everyone in the park kept their masks on. It was such a great experience. It’s pretty pricey but hey it’s an amusement park. I would recommend to bring your own water if you can. Definitely wear comfortable shoes because the park is HUGE and spread out. They sanitize your hand before every ride and there’s stations outside of each ride. I also recommend getting the express pass trust your kids will thank you for it

My husband and I mainly came here for The Wizarding World, but got so much more. I got to live out one of my childhood dreams of going to Hogwarts. I bought a wand and was able to use it at several places. The dragon wasn’t breathing fire when we went so it was a little sad, but definitely didn’t take away from the experience. Before you go into the park there are people screening your temperature with masks. They also enforce masks so I really applaud that. The staff really made you feel welcome . Whether you’re young or old you’ll have so much to do here and feel like a kid again. Will definitely be back!

I highly recommend visiting Universal Studios, for a day or a couple days! Youll have a really fun time!

Cyber Monday, plus riany morning and pandemic 50% capacity resulted in the best park experience ever. We enjoyed more time on the rides than in the lines for the rides. Universal did an outstanding job with monitoring guests for following Covid safe practices, both for face coverings and social distancing, offering hand sanitizer everywhere. Some rides and restaurants were closed, but we had the best day ever!

Absolutely adore this place! Universal Parks are definitely my theme park of choice in Orlando area. Harry Potter world is just incredible, especially Diagonal Alley that’s in this specific park. It’s jaw-dropping, literally feels like you’ve been teleported into the movie. The Escape to Gringotts ride is a great ride too. The Mummy and Rip Ride Rockit are my other favorites, just great classic roller coasters with a little added touch. Men in Black is fun to get a change of pace and go shoot down some aliens. There are a bunch of fun virtual rides like the Minion ride, Transformers, Fast and Furious, Simpsons, Shrek and more. The ET ride, hidden at the way back is super cute too and a great one for the kiddos. They also have constant shows being performed and different movie characters walking around taking pictures and interacting with people. Covid-wise I feel that they have done a great job being organized and taking needed measures. If you aren’t wearing your mask properly they are sure to politely correct you. Social distancing in lines and on rides they make sure to separate each party. They also have “U Rest” areas where you can go sit and take your mask off and get a break from it, I think that’s super considerate and I definitely used those areas a few times in my visits. I just love Universal, even though everything is overpriced (like all theme parks) the experience is always worth it and such a great time.

Universal Studios is a great family vacation idea, however , in the year of Covid, I do feel a bit hesitant about choosing this place. Its heavily crowded, and even though masks are required and theres hand sanitizer almost everywhere, its a hotspot for spread. Be aware.Having said that, you can still have an awesome day and enjoy all the attractions and food places in it. There are marks on the floor almost everywhere to separate people and everything can be ordered online.I would stay away from stores, specially in the Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade area because those are small places and everyone is touching everything. Besides, most things are pricier at the park. Potterheads: no need to break the bank, just buy merch online.Dont assume because theres a pandemic, the park wont be busy, it probably will be either way. More recommendations would be to bring sunscreen, only necessary things (there are lockers available in most attractions) and carry your own sanitizer so that you can be double sure youre staying safe.

Recently went with my mother to the parks we had a blast. The only issue I have are the free lockers. You can barely fit your things in them and you have to pay $2 for bigger locker. And then if your ride malfunctions and your time runs out you have to pay an additional $3!!! Thats insane and flat out gouging the public. If you can go with just your phone, sunglasses and wallet I highly encourage it! Also the refillable cups are insane too. 37$ for separate cups at the hotel AND the parks.

The personal was upbeat starting with the help I received with my pre-paid tickets I had made an error ordering. Plan on spending the hole day if u want to see everything. Best theme park I visted in Florida last year. Would definitely recommend getting the fast track passes. They are quite expensive but well worth it as you can beat the really long queues. You will end up queuing for the really popular rides but the lines will still move way quicker. Best day this year so far! We went yesterday, 9/6/2020. I took my 14 year old son, 6 year old daughter, and 3 year old son. This was their first time. We all had an equally great time. My little guy even got to ride 10 rides which I didn’t think was possible at Universal Studios, and loved every one especially Harry Potter. All my kids in unison said it’s way better than Disney! Posted wait times were overstated. We never waited for any ride for more than 25 minutes and it goes by so fast. One of my concerns was that we would not be able to ride the Harry Potter ride which was part of the Virtual Line rides, and we didn’t have express passes. I kept checking throughout the day for times to return to no avail. I already gave up on riding it, and was really disappointed, and we were getting ready to leave when they opened up the stand by queue!!! I was SO HAPPY even though the wait was close to 2 hours long. I didn’t care. I was sure it was worth it. However we didn’t have to wait even 5 minutes because we were one of the lucky few that got pulled out of the line by a Harry Potter angel named MIRANDA and taken right up to the ride by a “secret passage” with an elevator, and when we got to the boarding area we were the first and only ones there and at my daughters request got to ride in the first row! I cannot in words describe the gratitude I felt and actually cried after we got off the ride because I was so touched by Miranda’s actions and her interactions with my kids. She said she’s taking us a secret way because my 3 year old had the cutest mask on and kept it on the whole time with no complaints. I will forever be grateful for this experience that not only made my whole day, but our whole trip! Because of this we still had time to ride the minions ride and shop at gift shops. The only reason for 4 stars is because our dining experience was less than perfect. We got to the Krusty Burger at 2pm and did not get our food until 3:43pm. And that was after sitting down at our assigned table with a number for over 20 minutes, at which point I had to ask an associate more than once to please check on our order which was placed over and hour ago. With 2 young kids that act like they haven’t eaten in months, while watching everyone around them eat, it was not a pleasant and relaxing lunch that I anticipated. And upon arriving at Krusty Burger, first thing we did was use the Universal FL mobile app to place our order, however, it did not seem to make a difference. Other than, 5 stars all the way!! I am now seriously considering season passes as we live in Palm Beach County and I can totally see coming here at least once a month, and definitely for special events.

First time visitor review: On Friday, October 16, 2020 I took an Uber to Universal and I arrived at 9:30 am. I am so glad I did as there was a bit of a line up to enter the park (via regular vehicles) and Uber was able to by pass it all. To my surprise there was already ALOT of park goers in attendance. It took 5 minutes to pass though the temperature check line and it took over 20 minutes to weave through the walkways and dormant people movers as we were guided from one side of the parkade to the other in order to get to the security/bag check. When I finally made it into the park or City Walk as it’s called I saw numerous restaurants/stores like Bubba Gump, Starbucks, Billabong, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Cinnabon etc. After I passed through the initial “restaurant row” area I immediately turned to the right and made my way over the bridge to Universal Studios. I had bought my ticket on-line and printed it off at home thus I immediately entered the park after my ticket was scanned. I walked up and down the streets, and viewed a few of the gift shops. I stopped at Mel’s Drive-In where I mobile ordered (used the Universal’s App) a chocolate milkshake to help cool off (all the staff there were great). Once I left Mel’s I saw a Transformer down the alley to the left, Scooby Doo and the gang were in front of Mel’s and then I saw a Sponge Bob float drove by. My first ride was the E.T. Adventure and I must say that I enjoyed that very much. One of the things I noticed that Universal does well is that they provided covered waiting areas for customers as they make their way towards the front of the line. It was nice to have a break from the hot sun, as well there was fans overhead in the waiting line area and water fountains, pure genius, thank you. Once I got into the actual E.T. building I saw old prints of the original movie (talk about a flashback) and then once I got into the belly of the building I was suddenly transported into the woods and in no time at all I was riding a bike with E.T. in the basket going through the woods and then through town. It really was a very enjoyable ride and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. After the ride ended I walked through the attached gift shop and saw all the cool items available for purchase plus they had two really neat photo opportunities which brought back memories of when I was a child and I watch that movie for the first time. I meandered through the rest of that area and noticed that most of the little kiddie rides (Curious George, Barney etc.) were closed. From there I made my way over the bridge to Diagon Alley and I enjoyed the creativity that went into that. All the Harry Potter stores and restaurants were amazing and the creativity that went into all those buildings is unbelievable. I decided to take the train from Universal Studios to the Islands of Adventures; however, as neat as the train and train car were I am not sure the 80 minute wait to get on the train at noon was worth the 5 minute train ride (blaming COVID-19). Next I went on the Kong ride, Universal provided an indoors waiting area which was cool in temperature and again they had water fountains. The vehicle we rode in initially made me feel excited that an adventure awaited but mostly it was just a 3-D video that played, it wasn’t my sort of thing; however, others might enjoy that. The Cat in the Hat rides were fun, colorful and fast moving but I couldn’t help but see numerous areas that needed some paint touched up and some modifications. In more than one area I saw some electrical cord sticking out, numerous scrape marks, and faded paint etc., most young children wont pick up on this and the ride is geared towards them so I can overlook this a little bit but overall I think Universal could spend a little bit of time and money refreshing this area. Overall my time at Universal was pleasant and I was glad I was able to experience it.

Great place to go on vacation. They do have the refill stations for drinks. But the food is not all that and the prices are ridiculous. Its a long walk, dress comfortable and in the summer its unbelievably hot. With kids you want to make sure you purchase tickets that dont require waiting. Trust me, there is not enough time in the day. If I could do it all over again I would stay at the hotel with a theme water park pool area and go only to the studios part. But they do have a boardwalk at the park and it looks pretty live at night.

Had a great time. Rides were great! Would rate 5 stars but I think all amusement parks are way overpriced. Also, in order to see all of the Harry Potter attractions you need a 2 park pass. That seems like such a money grab. But the park was super fun.

Great day in the parks. Masks and social distancing required, but thats perfectly okay with me. The revenge of the tooth fairy haunted house was pretty cool!

Absolutely love Universal studios. Especially in this covid era, we just went there this weekend and were really impressed with the safety protocols they put in. Cant recommend them enough for a family or a couple or friend vacation, whatever youre in need of. Tickets are a bit pricey, especially if youre not a Florida resident, but thats how it sort of is with these theme parks and resorts.

Absolutely love universal after our Disney trip which was a complete nightmare I hesitated making another trip to another amusement park like this. However our time there was so amazing we ended up getting annual passes. They have a little bit to work out still opening since the shut down but overall they’ve handled things very well. Stay very professional. Parks are always clean. 98% of the staff are always friendly and helpful. We love universal. We even had a ton of fun with my toddler. Which I was worried about. But they have so much to do for all agesI feel after reading some other recent reviews I should add some more info. I visited in June and again in August at the bringing of the reopening and further in. Both times I stayed on site. Staff was always informative and helpful. Even those who do not know an answer will help get you one. Everyone had masks. Rarely did I see anyone with it even below their nose. Which they staff stayed on top of to a rather annoying extent if you ask some. If you properly use their app you have no issues with any rides being virtual aside from the new ride which should be expected anywhere.

It is a nice family place especially during this pandemic they are on top of those people not wearing their mask. It is nice to be able to go and enjoy family time.

We were hesitant due to Covid 19 and being in Florida, we were VERY impressed at their precautions. You could NOT enter park without be screened and temperature taken. Social distancing was enforced and entry to every attraction one was given hand disinfectant. Also, masks were REQUIRED everywhere. People complied! That being said, it was a blast, Marvel, Harry Potter (the rides were more intense then expected), Jurassic Park. Our first visit really impressed us in all aspects.

Got to give it huge kudos for being open during these times so that people can have a life and get out of their home. Have been fortunate enough to take the family here a number of times whether living nearby or across the country. It definitely takes the butt of universal California.

Why are you guys not open late at night? Especially in the month of December its the best time of year you guys could be open until 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. so annual-pass holders and tourist can see the Christmas lights at night especially whoville/Grinch. Be a little more like DISNEY with their extended hours!

The customer service was unacceptable. We were treated with a lot of aggression and hostility. The focus was less on fun/happiness and more about masks and sanitizing your hands. It ruined the park experience. It was only open until 5. SOCIAL DISTANCING AND COMPLIANCE rules made it impossible to get through the park and enjoy all the rides. There simply wasnt enough time to get through both parks in that amount of time. The price for that kind of treatment and early closing time is ROBBERY. WE WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. WE will also tell everyone we know to never go. Sad, this was our FAVORITE place to go for the last 27 years. Not anymore.

When you get in, they check your temperature and put a bracelet on you like they already took your temperature, then pass by where you get checked if you carry something in your pockets and just, you go into the park. To go around some stores and throw pictures at you with the universal globe, you dont have to pay for free. He only wears sunblock because its too hot. Its very good.

I cant imagine being packed in like sardines like the pre-Covid days after visiting the park with all the Covid restrictions in place! Great use of cleaning methods, social distancing and limiting attendance. Great ride options for all family members, good variety of shops and dining open and read to help you. Would highly recommend going during Covid restrictions, probably not as high of reccomendation during non-Covid times unless you planned really well and got a smoking hot deal on express passes.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this park. Actually both parks. We never felt crowded, it is remarkable how well they are able to keep the social distancing but make it feel as normal as possible. The parks were so clean and everyone was there to help make the day better. Great job Universal franchise. Such an enjoyable day!

I have to admit it, this is my second home. Even during this Pandemic the cast members go above and beyond. And the only thing that you can love more then the Mouse is Marvels Island of Adventure. Even with a back injury and requiring special needs/requirements this is the best place to spend time with the whole family, they can hit all the rides and I can entertain myself people watching.

Absolutely loved both parks! We had a 9 day ticket for both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios during Christmas break so the parks were super busy, but the management was amazing. Everything was super well organized and no chaos.Even though we went on every single ride and did every possible activity from hopping on the Hogwarts train between the two parks to watching the stunt shows etc, we still could have spent more days there. It’s been just nine months from our last visit and we already miss it!

Saturday before Labor Day was a mess. They were definitely over their stated 30% capacity, and staff did not enforce mask or social distancing policy. Money would be wiser spent at Disney.UPDATE: I called Universals customer service. The lady that I spoke too listened to my concerns, and appeared sincerely interested in our experience. After listening and documenting our issues, they gave us an offer to make things right. Thank you, Universal!

Dont interupt the magical rides to remind us to put our mask on. I was in ET so enjoying the ride when the music(and the magic) broke, and a strange voice reminded us to put our mask on. All of our masks were already on! So annoying.Times were off on a few rides. Minions was an hour instead of listed 30 minutes because so many express people were let through. Also, tried to get water at walk up vendor at 420, employee stated her water was already locked. The park close at 5, water should be available until closing.Other than these issues, the park was clean and the employees were helpful. We enjoyed the week.

A fun place for the family. However, there is much room for improvement. Rides get delayed often (especially the rollercoasters), temp staff could be more helpful and the app has a few bugs. I would suggest coming in the Autumn to get fully immersed in the Harry Potter experience. Make sure your backpack is small enough to fit in the free lockers or you will be paying 2$ for almost every ride.

We LOVE Universal Studios rollercoasters, 4D rides, and shows. The Hulk is amazing! The staff made sure we were protected during COVID, and all possible distancing and hygiene solutions were in place. Our family felt very safe on rides and dining. Go visit.. Universal has got COVID safety solved.

The park has tried to be good with the covid19 situation. Hand sanitizer just about everywhere. Most of the staff are friendly. Not the best at remembering all the information a guest might want. And have no problem just saying I dont know, allowing you to walk away confused. Their app is a live saver. Refillable cups are worth it so dont forget them.

For the money I paid to enter the park really didnt get to enjoy much. Roller coasters were closed due to weather, then got on the spider-man ride after waiting for over 30min they shut the ride down. Went over to universal and transformer was shut down as well. Didnt really get the chance to do much. Staff was amazing thou and made everything better in a way. Haunted houses wasnt that bad.

Love Universal rating low only as this new virtual line reservation along with fast past make it even more frustrating to get on rides. Currently the lines move along as numbers are lower but still many rides had virtual signs out front that I was told mean its book for tge rest of the day. So in an 8 hour day we managed to get on 4 rides thats quite low for the price of 240. plus to get in.We enjoy walking around in general but please continue to work on developing opportunity to ride more rides for the overall price. My daughter has a season pass so she goes more often but we live too far away to warrant the pass and go once or twice a year. As I have reached those senior years Id even be interested in senior passes maybe.I know covid has hit all industries hard even Universal. Still had an enjoyable day , went to hard rock for lunch, we shopped a little so only complaint is getting into more rides if any way to improve that oveall.
