This place is awesome! I never even thought about Harry Potter until we visited this place. I was totally flabbergasted by the attention to detail this place had. This is a must visit place for the kids. There is so much to do and see in this area - plan on spending several hours in this part of the park alone. You can find anything Harry Potter in this area.

They NAILED THIS! So impressive. I only went to the side on the Island of adventure but with a 2-park ticket you can hope on the train from one park to the other. The level of detail inside the castle is impressive and the ride was ok. The simulator is fun but for me it lacks that heart dropping effect that you get from other rides.Butter beer frozen— yummy, specially on a super hot day!

Hogsmeade village is located in universal Orlando studios at the far end of the park. At the entrance to the Hogsmeade village is Hogsmeade station. As you enter the village you get to see Hogwarts express and pose with it. Have a chat with the friendly driver and click few snaps with Hogwarts express in the background. As you go inside, you get to see the snow-capped village. The snowy look gives the whole village a picturesque touch. There are carts selling butterbeer, pumpkin juice, and other goodies. Dont forget to get butterbeer in the souvenir mugs and get clicked with your frothy mustache ;)Its lined with colorful shops. The notable among them are Olivanders and Honeydukes. Get yourself a bag of treats from honeydukes full of chocolate frogs, or Bertie Bott every flavored bean, peppermint toads or the jelly slugs and then move towards olivanders to witness the wand choosing ceremony and get yourself a magic wand. Its very interesting to see it and the little magic threw along with it. Note strange looking muggle devices(read phones and camera) are discourage also its not the wizard/witch who chooses the wand, the wand always chooses the wizard/witch.You will always find a queue for entering olivanders but its worth the wait. Have your lunch at the three broomsticks and get a drink at hogs head pub. Its amusing to look at the owls at Owl post and at the caged monster book of monster which snarls and moves. Also, dont forget to visit the restrooms there where you will hear moaning myrtle singing :)Just as Hogsmeade ends, you get to see towering castle which houses Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. There is a bridge beside the castle which takes you to the entrance of Jurassic Park. This offers the best view of the castle and is a perfect place to capture your clicks with the dreamy castle as the backdrop.Hogwarts houses the ride - Harry Potter and the forbidden journey. This ride mandates that things must be stowed away in the lockers provided at the entrance. On your way to the ride inside the castle, you get to see the talking and moving portraits, go by dumbledores office to the defense against dark arts classroom. Dumbledores office is marvelous with each and every detail in place. The ride is a simulated one with sudden movements and jerks where Harry, Ron, and Hermione guides you around from the castle to forbidden forest to a Quidditch match. You get to witness dementors, the giant aragog in the forbidden forest and swoop past the castle into the Quidditch field to catch the golden snitch cheered by Hogwarts students and staff from the stand. The nighttime lights at Hogwarts which starts at dusk till park closing time is the icing on the cake. Its a must must watch. The music and the lights are treated to the ears and eyes. It feels absolutely magical to watch it.

Not many stores to shop in this part of the park, but very good rides and food options. Frog Choir, Triwizarding tournament and night light shows are must watch. I highly recommend Hagrid’s motorbike ride in this part. Also, don’t forget to have a butterbeer in Three Broomsticks, fire whisky at Hogs head and all the treats from Zonkos/ Honeydukes..

The way they do Christmas at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is amazing. All the building with lights and “snow”, Christmas trees everywhere, carols playing. This place made my Ravenclaw heart so full of joy. Every tiny detail (and there are thousands) is so authentic and true to the books and the movies. I wish I could come back every week to discover more of it because there is so many things you don’t see at first! The buildings, the shops, the scenery, Hogwarts, the Hogwarts Express and Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, the light show on the castle at night, everything is so mesmerizing that you’ll certainly take hundreds of pictures. The rides are all great, though Harry Potter and the Forbidden is by far my favorite and one of the two best rides I’ve ever tried - the experience made me so emotional! In short, from the bottom of my witch heart, thank you for this magical place.

Hogsmeade is more open than Diagon Alley which is nice. Just as much attention to detail exists here as in Diagon Alley. This area is home to Honeydukes, Hogwarts Castle (home to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey), the Three Broomsticks, Hogshead Tavern, and the Flight of the Griffon roller coaster. This area has some new construction going on for a new ride that is opening in the next year or so. This ride is replacing the old Dragon Challenge.Overall, again this is a great experience, just wish there was more space for the large number of guests that visit here, and a few more things to do. Maybe some more interactive magic experiences or interactive shop experiences, or even a class type experience at the castle. (Assuming there is room to do so.)

Hogsmeade was awesome to look at and to appreciate all the craftsmanship that went into creating a village. The butterbeer was delicious and the “must have” wands were outrageously priced considering they did absolutely nothing. I counted 2 rides; 1 coaster and 1 train. There was also a castle journey. The wait times for all 3 attractions were over 120 minutes each! The Frog Choir/Triwizard Spirit Rally was the highlight. It was intensely crowded and not much to do other than look around at the jam packed shops. I wouldn’t return here, I’d rather spend time with my children in parts of the park where they can ride and enjoy themselves.

This place is an absolute must visit for any Harry Potter fan. The attention to detail that went into making the replication of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade is simply stunning. As beautiful as the location is, its also the busiest part of the park at any part of the day. We visited during non-peak season and still had a very difficult time navigating the various shops and vendors. This is all very true to form with the films so I didnt mind it as much, but take note if you arent a huge crowds person. All merchandise and souveniers are on the rather high side IMO but any die hard HP fan will gladly put their money down regardless. Note that Olivanders is not the only place you can purchase a wand in Hogsmeade. Olivanders has a wider selection, but there is a vendor cart on the street selling many of the same options. You can also purchase interactive wands for a bit more coin thatll interact with various areas of Hogsmeade. Though the patrons I saw attempting to use them seemed to be struggling a bit.I highly recommend grabbing a slushed butter beer while wandering the streets of Hogsmeade. It tastes quite good on a hot day .The 3D ride experience inside of Hogwarts may be the best of its kind between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios so definitely dont miss out on it.

I went to Orlando to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I had a 5 day park-to-park pass, which means I got to ride the Hogwarts express in order to visit Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. (By the way, if you are a HP fan, you absolutely need to visit both parks and take the Hogwarts express, it was awesome and very practical) I loved Hogsmeade. As a Potterhead, it is just amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Harry Potter. It is even better if you are very knowledgeable about Harry Potter, because you will be able to spot a lot more details and easter eggs. I also did some research before going, which made me able to spot even more. I liked the 2 Wizarding World parks, but I did prefer Diagon Alley because there was more to check out and I prefer it in the movies. Still, everything is so well done. The shops were amazing and diverse: what is sold in the shops always fits the name of the shop, which means that there is different stuff in every single shop, but also a couple of things that you can find in differents one, which is very practical. I wish there were more shops though, kind of like Diagon Alley, but it is understandable because it is not a shopping street, it is a village. But the decor is awesome everywhere in this park, and the castle is A-MA-ZING! There is a restaurant, the Three Broomsticks, and 3 rides: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and Flight of the Hippogriff. I will review these places separately, but I still wanna say that the food is very good, although very expensive (everything is very expensive, be prepared), and the 2 first rides I listed were amazing, you need to try them - but if you can get in line at the opening or with an early park admission, definitely do it because the wait times are long. There are also kiosks for snacks and water (Gillywater, obviously!). While you are at the Wizarding World, you HAVE to try out a butterbeer! While still good, the taste of a regular butterbeer is a little too much for me, but I absolutely adored the frozen and hot butterbeers. I will for sure try to replicate them at home. I also highly recommend the butterbeer ice cream. Other than that, there is a stage where 2 differents shows are hosted (You can find the schedule on the Universal website) : The frog choir and the Triwizard tournament. Both shows were very well done and fun, but know that there is no bench to sit on while watching. The shows only last about 10 minutes and are played a couple of times in the afternoon. And dont miss Moaning Myrtle in the bathroom! Also, all around the parks, there are employees dressed as witches and wizards, and they are all in their character, which is super fun and makes it feel more real. They are friendly and, if you have trouble casting a spell with your interactive wand, they will come and help you - cause yes, there are specific places where you can do magic with an interactive wand, which can be bought at Ollivanders. It comes with a map where you can see all the wand spots in Hogsmeade AND Diagon Alley. There is also a wand show in Ollivanders where he picks a random person for a wand ceremony and it is super cool! I actually got chosen! I think that the fact that I was wearing a full Hogwarts uniform helped lol. There is also a nightime lights show on Hogwarts, and it is very beautiful. Finally, I would just like to say that, if you wanna visit Hogsmeade, you do not need more than 1 day or 2 at most. In the end, with my 5 day park-to-park pass, I had plenty of time to visit many other places outside of Hogsmeade and to come back, relax and check out everything all over again. The only thing I wish is that Hogsmeade would be bigger and that all shops would be actual separate shops, because a lot of them were linked from the inside and some of them were only displays, but Im guessing thats not possible. But in the end, this was the best experience of my life and I now really want to go back someday. Every Harry Potter fan should experience this place if they are able to.

Harry Potter show from the Islands of Adventure is the better of the 2 shows from either park and shouldnt be missed at any cost! That is in fact the best show amongst all the shows at both parks of Universal studios which is enjoyed and experienced without any 3D glasses!! And you also get to see the lights show once every 15 minutes after it gets dark at the Harry Potters Castle which is also a memorable experience!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. All 3 of us (including my 20 year old hip musician son) got teary when we walked in and saw Diagon Alley for the first time. Oh my goodness! It was fun to stand over to the side and watch other peoples faces when they came in as well. The butterbeer is soo soo good. I liked the cold better than the frozen. Its pricey, as are all things in this park. 3 butterbeers were $27. We didnt get the wands, I felt $50 for a wand was crazy, but they sure were selling a ton of them. The streets, the buildings, everything was so magical. Its worth the price of a ticket alone just to see. The Hagrid ride is the absolute best and definitely worth the wait!! We rode it 3 times in 3 days and wish we would have rode it more. The death eaters at night are so cool and really made our day. Dont miss the Hogwarts light show! It was so special and awesome! I think my favorite part was the Hogwarts express. So realistic and fun and a quick trip between parks. I will miss it!

Drop off all your bags in the free lockers provided and head to this thrill a minute ride, marvel at the talking portraits, the floating candles in the great dining hall and listen as the Sorting Hat places you in the appropriate House. This section of the Wizarding World is, in my opinion, superior to the Diagon Alley section. Hogsmeade feels less crowded as it’s more open, and there are two rides here as opposed to one. Forbidden Journey (the ride in the castle) was an amazing experience and definitely my favorite part of the Wizarding World. In the village shops, you can buy many of the sweets (Chocolate Frogs, Every Flavor Beans) and drinks (butterbeer, pumpkin juice) in the world of Harry Potter, as well as merch and gifts. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you absolutely must come and experience the park yourself.

I love Harry Potter everything and the Harry Potter section area was wonderful. It has Hogsmeade town with three broom sticks which is a restaurant with British style food thats expensive and some shops like Olivanders with wands, clothes, jewelry, other apparel and HP stuff. There was Zonkos joke shop with toys, trinkets and HP book themed stuff. There was Honeydukes candy shop also which was great even though a little expensive but worth somethings still. There was also an amazing Harry Potter ride with the line going through a facsimile copy of some of the rooms of Hogwarts which was the best ride in the park next to a fast and advanced roller coaster called The Hulk. It was awesome and worth the wait. The prices of food and drinks in The adventure island park over all, was very expensive so bring with you whatever you can from a cheaper place like a store first. There are two refillable cups with free refills all day the first day you get themOne cup was $8.99 and another one with a handle and lid and straw is $14.99 for 1. But they are $12.99 if you buy 3-6 cups for many people. There is a Jurassic park area which was mainly for kids. Also there was a King Kong ride which looked cool but it was closed down today when We went so I cant comment on that. And there are a few different Marvel themed rides and shops like a Spiderman ride with a virtual 3D screen which was pretty cool. But it was based on the older cartoon though from the 1990s not themed after any of the live action movies later in the 2000s A.D. There was also a Fantastic 4 ride and a scrambler spinny ride neither of which I went on so that I cant comment on. There was also a Doctor Suess area for kids and some other cartoon land themed water log rides which looked neat but none in my party went on. You cant do everything in one day. So plan for 2 days or more and bring a backpack at least to hold your stuff in not just a small bag or fanny pack. That wont be enough space for your belongings. Also there are free maps of the park after you walk into the park as well as a strip mall area of other beach themed stores and restaurants as well as Starbucks for you other pinky up coffee snobs out there like me who would function better with their excellent coffee to wake you up when you arrive there early. The free coffee packets in the resort arent as good and there is no creamer. Its worth it to get Starbucks either in Cabana Bay resort or in the city walk strip of stores before one enters the park. You can walk 2 miles there from the Cabana Bay resort or take a free shuttle bus. They also make you walk through a metal detector with security who wave boring Electronic wands to magically make your knives, Shuriken and guns appear and will take them, so leave your ninja weapons at the resort or in the car.(shuriken not a commet lol) There is also more than one shop which sells Harry Potter apparel and themed items so bring lots of money to get many neat HP paraphernalia!☇Its a great place to visit. Cabana Bay resort also has a giant pool and a lazy river with a current and some fountains spraying out water and palm trees around it with live lifeguards. There are also 2 bars, one open until 11pm by the 2nd pool and the other bar open until midnight by the lobby. There is also an arcade game room, a bowling alley and a gym open until midnight as well as a cafe diner area with 4 restaurants in it and refrigerated items like 2% and Vit D milk which you will want with your cereal in the morning. They dont have 1% or skim fyi. There is some chocolate milk too. And they have a machine of soft drinks with endless refills too. And the silverware and some condiments are out side of the diner by the drink station. It is all very clean and has multiple floors with a relaxing, friendly environment. Most of the food in the resort is also expensive so again bring what u want and put in the mini fridge in your room or leave and find cheaper food if you desire to save some money and use it at the parks. Enjoy.
