Today, this was the only ride open, but it was enough. It is right near the entrance to the park, so of course, I decided to get right on it as soon as I entered the park.I couldnt, of course, convince any of my friends to jump on it with me, but they would not. After riding it, I cant really blame them. It was one of the most thrilling rides Ive ever been on. It lasts about a minute, I think. Its hard to tell with the rush of wind and sound flying by. In fact, Im amazed that they called it the Manta. It doesnt gently glide through the air like a manta in the water. Maybe the Orca or Sturgeon, instead.Dont expect to be able to enjoy the sights of the park on this ride. You wont see anything, except the water from your eyes, perhaps. At the point that this hits a loop, I couldnt imagine what kind of G-forces I was feeling, but if it wasnt the equivalent of a Space Shuttle launch, Id be surprised. Finally, youre ratcheted into a device that has you hanging face down, looking at the ground far below you. If you are at all prone to motion sickness, afraid of heights, dont like high speeds, being upside down or spine and neck injuries, this probably isnt your ride. That doesnt leave a lot of us, I guess, but for those of us who arent subject to these things, best of luck. Its a one of a kind, for sure.

Super smooth and fast and the g-force is super thrilling. It truly feels as if you are flying! This is a good coaster for people trying to get over their fear as it is a thrill ride. The restraints are also pretty comfortable and there was no head banging.

I do have complaints about Manta mostly regarding everything before and after the ride. Even though the station has two sides, only one is normally used, so the loading takes longer than it should. While this is bad for wait times, its even worse when youre on the train not getting loaded waiting ages to get off. This wouldnt normally be a problem if you had any freedom to move, look around, or even be in a comfortable natural position while youre waiting to get off. The vest presses your chest, your legs arent free to move, and your head can either hang or look ahead. This is frustrating because this issue, along with a slow moving queue, could easily be alleviated if they would simply use both stations. It seems illogical to not do so, as Manta is the most popular ride in the park, moreso than even newer rides like Mako and Antarctica.Aside from this, Manta is perfect, and one of the best flying coaster experiences in the world. The theming is the best among the seaworld coasters, with an air conditioned queue that has its own aquarium. Its hard to get bored in this dimly lit and ambient queue with pretty music playing and rockwork and fish on all sides. The soundtrack becomes even more triumphant in the station, where an intimidating mechanical sound effect plays when the cars lift from sitting to flying.The coaster itself is great. With swooping turns and slow inline twists, flying over the flowers and even near Antarctica is a fun treat. The second half is even better, as the wing dip gets riders on the far right a little wet, and swooping past a waterfall gets far left riders sprayed on their legs. The landscaping is beautiful and picturesque in this section, and it would be the best part of the ride were it not for the first element on the coaster: the pretzel loop. Contrasting the rest of the coasters gentle flips and curves, the pretzel loop is one of the most intense elements on any coaster. You get airtime as you crest a hill, then nosedive straight down so far that you go upside down, and then experience huge G forces as you flip to the bottom now on your back... and as you level out again, you get airtime once more as you crest another hill. The ride is gentle after this, but the pretzel loop is not for the faint of heart.

Its a fun ride and it goes face first if you get my point

We were very unhappy & upset about going to Sea World & seeing all the rides & places that have closed. We understand that some of it is due to CO-VID 19; but, only 3 rides were running today. A lot of the park seems & looks old & needs a lot of TLC. We came from Maryland & we are so glad that we didnt come for this park alone. We wont be visiting the park ever again!

We went opening day. Getting in the park was chaotic. Once inside most eating places were closed. Shows were great. Having to wear a mask in an open air setting is really ignorant.

Really fun ride, I recommend riding the front seat to actually feel like you are flying. Ride is pretty intense but feels really smooth! Its the perfect B&M flyer. Strains are really comfortable but be warned, Manta tends to get crazy lines.

Best ride at SeaWorld! Super fun. You are hanging and suspended so it feels like you are flying. Can get pretty intense at moments but it’s a smooth ride and not rickety so it doesn’t hurt. I wish it could be a little longer though.

Unbelievable flying coaster. That first drop/loop changed my life (for the better). Do NOT miss this coaster on your next visit to SeaWorld Orlando!

My kids loved this ride at Sea World. Just make sure all your valuables are left behind or tied down before embarking on this journey. People lose a lot of stuff they are never able to regain. But absolutely loved it!!

ONE OF THE BEST ROLLERCOASTERS I EVER DONE! What it makes it so special is the position you are in while you ride. You are 45° looking down. Even if you dont sit in the first row, it seems that you are because you dont see anybody in front of you. For many people it is too much (we saw some people throwing up), but for us it was just an amazing experience!

A really, really good flying coaster. Pretzel loop will put enough Gs on you to make you grey out a bit. View is beautiful. Only issue is the line is closed kinda often for some reason, and its the coaster with the longest line in the park because theyre usually only running one car.

Manta is fantastic. Super comfortable for superman style coaster. The inverted pretzel loop after the first drop is just immense! Its the closest coaster to the entrance so queues are busy first thing. Id recommend riding Mako in the morning and Manta later on when it is literally walk on.

Literally one of the best roller coasters in Orlando, this is a must do if you are going to sea world. The view from the roller coaster is beautiful as well. This ride is thrilling and I’m sure , people from any age group will love it.

The ride was scary but fun. If you have long hair pull it back. My hair was in my face the whole time . The way you are strapped in you cant reach it to move your hair out of your face.

I go on a lot of roller coasters. My favorite is the Hulk. This ride being confined onto your stomach the entire ride was uncomfortable and not enjoyable.

Omg! The force and the speed of this rollercoaster are unbelievable! If youre on the heavy side be aware that you might not be able to ride this one. If youve got any loose items be sure to either leave them with family or in the little baskets on the other side of the coaster.

My favorite roller coaster ever! I used to be petrified of roller coasters and this was the first one I ever tried. It was so much fun that now I absolutely love going on roller coasters. Is usually a relatively short wait, the track is smooth, and the seats are surprisingly comfortable even though they are holding you flat on your stomach. Really different experience being on a rollercoaster looking downward like youre flying.

I honestly love this ride,the first time I rode I was 7 and has just broken my leg so I had a brace. It was honestly the best first upside down ride I got to ride. I totally recommend it if you are 6 and up. **I believe you have to be 50” in to ride this ride though.

I still cant believe my 17 year old daughter talked me into going on this ride. It was terrifying!!!!! Thank God I have a pacemaker, because I think my heart may have stopped on this!! I would not recommend this for people with over 50!! Lol!! I was scr re among and praying all at the same time the entire ride!!

I love roller coasters, I have never had any problems riding them. The Manta ride at Sea World is not only terrifying, but gave me terrible vertigo to the point that I nearly fell down when I got off the ride. I couldnt walk for over a half hour, I couldnt even turn my head. It was so bad that I was afraid I had sustained an actual injury. I cant articulate how awful I felt. I did not feel right for days. The ride also puts you in an unnatural position which puts stress on the neck. I do not recommend this ride!

That is one spooky coaster. You are laying down on your belly. If the safety latch fails you WILL die. The loop after they take your picture is intense.

Wow! What an experience! I have never been on a roller coaster like this one before. I absolutely loved how different it was to be face down, almost as if you were flying or hang gliding. The backwards roll was so awesome. You could definitely feel the g-forces on that one. Hands down my favorite coaster at SeaWorld!

Great roller coaster and never been on one that youre literally facing down when you get on it it really shocked me on the first loop would go on a million times!!

The ride -- although you are seating on your back-- is very smooth. There are not many loops. Try it!

Way Better Than Mako. Most Of The Time I Felt Weightless And The Loops Are Super Fun. 100% Recommend It For Everyone. Especially Its Not Your Usual Coaster Your Seat Is Tilted Forward And Its Like Youre An Actual Manta.

Great ride experience and were lucky enough to have short wait times. Get some good views across the park as well as thrills. The slightly different hanging ride may not be for all, especially those who do not like being harnessed in and their legs restrained.

This was my first flying coaster and I absolutely LOVED IT!! I got on ASAP as my father couldn’t properly walk and the staff were very kind in letting me know that the coaster was safe and that seeing that I am a “coaster geek” I would have fun. They were right and I did have fun and I don’t regret a moment! Thanks you seaworld for letting get this amazing opportunity!

This line was the longest of the 3 coasters. With that being said, its unique mechanic of making you face down during the ride makes it by far the most memorable of the 3. This was the last one we rode for the day, but it would be the only one I suggest riding a second time.

I loved this roller coaster. This was my favorite one at Sea World. At first, the face-down position looked scary, however it turned out to be thrilling.

Manta was awesome! Definitely get the full experience of what its like swimming like a Manta Ray. Only down side, could use a ceiling fan in the hallway at the stairs before boarding the ride. Other than that, NO COMPLAINTS!!

Unbelievable the first ride when you enter the park you have to ride it twice! This ride is quick, safe and a great thrill to get your blood pumping for the rest of your adventure throughout the park. Wish I would have captured a picture here. Dont forget to visit the aquarium right next door sea you later Manata!

Loved this ride I would do it over and over again if I could. also enjoyed walking underneath the Nets looking up at the spare change and things people lost on a ride. similar style ride would have been a two-hour wait in the Disney World and it was only about 10 or 15 minutes today at SeaWorld.

Pretty good day kids had a blast on the rides.....at least those brave enough! Found out that the uprade to include eating all day made perfect sense. BTW eat all day means eating a standard meal once each hour!

This SeaWorld coaster seems to best utilize the expanse of the park but the best part of the ride is crossing the lake at the ride’s end.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but THIS is the nations best flying coaster, not Tatsu. The pretzel knot is fabulous, the barrel rolls are nice, and what really makes the coaster are the near misses with the water. Youll get a nice splash on either side of the train. Great ride!

We as a family ride this roller coaster over 2 years ago. Scared the bee gee bees out if me. My son ended up with vertigo from it and two years later has had numerous neck and headache issues that began right after riding the Manta I wish we had paid more attention to the sign as this ride really does toss your head around. The ride needs a way to stabilize the head, not just locking in the feet and body . We wont be riding roller coasters anymore if anykinda after this and seeing the the troubles it caused our son.Leatha

The roller coaster is impressive

This ride is great! This is the very first ride you get on when you get into SeaWorld, and you will not regret it. This ride reminds me a lot of Superman at Six Flags over Georgia, except this one is smoother in regards of the ride itself, and loading people onto the train. The queue line is breathtaking as well.

This ride is amazing. The concept of looking down and acting like a manta ray. Highly recommend!
