Wow, this roller coaster surprised me. This doesnt have any loops or parts where it goes upside down but it makes up for it in the g forces you feel while riding it. The most thrilling part is the initial drop after you climb to its highest point, it drops you straight down at a 90° angle and it feels like youre going down and in at a steeper angle (if that makes any sense). This coaster was my nephews first roller coaster experience so hes a big fan and it gave him enough courage to eventually try some of the larger coasters here at the park like Manta and the Kraken, which he loves tremendously now too.

Great ride lots of fun

This is an awesome thrill ride. Be prepared to fly by the seat of your pants literally! Probably one of the best coasters in Orlando. I had the experience my first time of having someone not tell me the flight time you get till I was locked in my seat.. needless to say my hands are reaching for the sky from first drop to last stop now. Absolutely must ride if your visiting Sea World in florida. 200ft drop and 9 jumps that will make you happy lap bars exist. Two thumbs up and lunch down.

In my opinion this is the best roller coaster at Sea World as of November 2020. It is a smooth ride and lots of thrills.

A fun ride with big hills but no flips or rolls. It was my sons favorite. Needs some special lighting in the dark, its kind of lackluster without it at night.

This roller coaster is definitely one of my favorites. It reaches amazing heights and has thrilling drops that will make you want to put your hands up! The best part is its not a head-banging roller coaster, so you wont be left with a headache at the end. The gift shop you go through when you exit is my favorite one in SeaWorld! Great prices on fantastic souvenirs, toys, and artistic pieces.

If you like airtime, no coaster in Florida delivers it like Mako, and thats the biggest appeal of the ride.Mako has nice theming. It has its own soundtrack that plays in the queue, in the station, up the lift hill, on the brake run, and even in the plaza when the train is flying overhead. It has a majestic feeling like Mantas soundtrack, but a little more forboding with some Jaws flavor thrown in.Theres nice shipwreck theming and some coral reefs, ambient lighting, and a themed car that looks like a fierce mako shark. Plus the coaster is gorgeous, with beautiful teal and purple against a setting over the water. Youll even be able to see Kraken very easily.Mako is incredibly comfortable. Not only are the clamshell lap bars roomy, but theyre body conforming and theres no seatbelt to get in the way of your airtime. But as long as you pull the restraint down at least a bit snugly, youll stay in the car safely. In addition, Mako is far and away the smoothest coaster in Florida.The coaster itself is outstanding. The first drop is long and incredibly floaty. The overbanked turns are very fun to wave your hands to, especially towards the end of the ride as you get lower to the ground and water. And all of the Airtime hills will provide whole seconds of endorphin providing zero gravity. The ride is well paced, fun, smooth, comfy, well themed, beautiful, and not too intense. Anyone in your party will enjoy Mako and many will want to ride again and again.

First things first: the restraints are 100% safe. Theyve been tested by many different entities hundreds of times and no major fatal accident has ever occured with one. They are safe, just open to allow you to experience all the airtime the ride provides. If you dont like the restraints, dont ride it. Youll make the lines shorter for everyone else.Now, the rest of the ride. Incredible. The airtime is so sustained, so strong, every drop flings you up out of your seat in the back and theres some pretty great positives and laterals as well. Overall its a great ride and I would 100% recommend it if youre at SWO. Or even if youre not, come swing by and ride this masterpiece of a hyper coaster by B&M.Going element by element:First drop: amazing, you feel like youre falling forever and youre floating in your seat the whole way down.Overbank to the left: pretty good laterals and positives, not the most special element but its pretty fun.Camelback: This is the most sustained moment of airtime in Florida for sure, and one of the most sustained in the world. In the back you start floating as you start to crest the lift hill and dont land back in your seat till you valley. Probably my current favorite element of all time.Hammerhead turn: The main turnaround element of the ride. Pretty good fun, the positives are nice throughout. Nothing incredible but its good.Second camelback: This hill does have a set of trims on the ascent which does weaken the airtime slightly but its nothing huge. The drop here is just as good and you get some incredible airtime here.Right hand turn: You get some airtime on the ascent and the dive down provides good positive gs. Nothing incredible but still great airtime on the ascent, especially in the front.Speed hill: Definitely the strongest moment of airtime on the ride. Its drawn out but low so you get strong and pretty sustained airtime through this element.Hop up into MCBR: Gives great airtime in the front and decent airtime in the back. The lurch forward might surprise you especially if the brakes hit hard. The dive off isnt much, no real forces here other than some ok positives.Airtime hill: Probably the weakest element on the ride. No real airtime over it, maybe mild floater but not much.Two overbanks: Very photogenic section of the ride, and it gives lateral airtime which you dont see on every B&M hyper.Overall, incredible ride and the best coaster in Florida. This is a top tier coaster worth the trip to SWO by itself.

I love Mako. Best roller coaster in Florida in my opinion. Its formidable in its height and speed, the first drop is incredible. Then theres the significant amount of time the coaster spends essentially off the tracks as it passes over the humps, clunking back onto the track at the bottom. Sounds unbelievable, but its true. We go on this time after time. Cant wait to be back.

You have to ride this coaster on either the front or back rows for two very different experiences. Front row gives you the incredible view of the first drop and total wind rush for the rest of the ride, where as back row whips you over the first drop and throws you out of your seat adding to the thrill of the drop, it also exaggerates the peaks for the rest of the ride. Either way you have to do this coaster, its one of the best in Florida.

Such a thrill! It was terrifying and so much fun. The wait wasnt long at all when I went. The first drop is 200feet and was the scariest ever since the first drop my bottom didnt touch the seat . I screamed the whole time it was super fast (73mph).I loved it( this ride is definitely not for younger kids )

My personal favourite roller coaster in the Orlando/Tampa area. Its high, fast, long, major air time, nice scenery but best of all, pretty much walk on in the morning. We rode this so many times in a row. Loved every second!

Best coaster in Florida period. Very smooth, first drop is terrifying, lap bars instead of annoying shoulder restraints, AMAZING AIRTIME, and it goes so fast you get that weird air whipping noise through your ears. The line is almost always short too so you can ride it multiple times a day and you wont get bored of it trust me.

This is the smoothest coaster Ive ever ridden. The exhilarating moments of weightlessness are met with precise gentle G-force management. Before you realize it, youre at 0 G again. The ride is pleasurably long, and by the end, I was feeling the urge to go a second round.

Ive been on many roller coasters in my life, but this might be my favorite one and the best one. No lie. A super smooth B+M Hypercoaster with loads of speed and airtime. This is nothing short of a master piece. To top it off - there was next to no line. We went on it 7 or 8 times throughout the day.

Holy mackerel! Pun fully intended! This coaster is fast with moments of zero gravity feel. I havent waited any longer than 30 minutes for this attraction. I think people are afraid of it. If you like coasters this one needs to be on your list.

The SeaWorld coaster Mako is the scariest most thrilling roller coaster I have ridden to date. My advice is to wait the extra time to sit in the front set of seats. The steel hypercoaster was manufactured by Bollinger & Mabillard. At the time of this review Mako is the tallest, longest and fastest coaster in the Orlando area. The open cars use a lap bar to secure riders. In the front seat, the minimalist restraint and openness make the first 73 mile per hour drop and each additional moment of weightlessness, thrilling. It’s been some time since a coaster scared me and the first hill on Mako did! Ride Mako immediately.
