Let me start off by saying: Trip well needed after the lost of my dearly departed !! Westgate lakes Resort was more than I expected! Every staff member was truly concerned about any cares or needs we had! The pool attendant kept the chairs and pool area clean and sanitized!! The guest were just as friendly and the staff!! I will be back this winter for a girls trip!! We spotted an alligator just off our patio my grandchildren was so excited ! Over all I would say check this place out you won’t be disappointed !! The views morning and evening are Beautiful Thanks again to the staff and my lovely daughter !!

Great place with everything you may need within the resort. The help was quick and very friendly. Too many activities to choose our favorite, but we were partial to the putt putt. Thank you for having a very clean and disinfected room for us.

My sister & BNL invited us to come with them for the week. What an amazing time. Weather was perfect!! Resort was nicely maintained. Even with COVID, we would just call & they would either pick up our trash or bring us more pillows or towels within a fair amount of time. I think the only downfall was that the bathtub is in the master bedroom but other than that the rooms are very nice & spacious.

The 2 bedroom suite was very nice. It actually looks the same as online, but it FEELS better in person. The service is great & very timely. I will definitely come back again.

Great restaurants and things to do! Everyone is super friendly. Mini-gold, paddle boats and fishing is good here.Advice to management: if you are going to offer shuttles around the complex, your employees need to answer the phone and shuttles need to arrive sooner. Waiting 30 minutes when no one else is around is a joke. The rooms (we stayed in 3 of them this week) need better maintenance.

They refunded almost 1/2 of what I paid so Im only doing 1/2 of a review for this place.First we couldnt book on their website and they wouldnt honor the online discount so we ended up paying almost double.The sliding glass door wasnt locked and I had to tinker with it for a few minutes to get it locked.The room wasnt cleaned properly, there was a dead roach in the cabinet.The blender, toaster, stove controlls and fridge handles wasnt properly cleaned.The shower head leaked and we had to take a bath in the jacuzzi because the shower wouldnt turn on and there was mildew in it because they didnt clean it properly.

Very clean, my family and i, stayed for a week. We wete very happy with our place. We were very comfortable and safe. The only minor inconvenience we had it was when we were trying to dial #1 to the front desk from the room phone line, the phone line did not work. So we had to dial the whole 1800..number and wait until we get connected to the front desk. They do offer activities in the property for children and adults to enjoy, but they have selected times and days. Also some of this activities require reservations and they will also check your temperature to get in to some of the amenities.(Arcade, bowling)

I cant say enough great things about our stay at this resort. We stayed here for 2 weeks and according to our teens this was the best resort stay we have had in Orlando. Not only was it super clean but theres so much to do and they are definitely taking covid seriously.Staff was so friendly and just an overall wonderful stay we will definitely stay again.

Nice area, high pressure to buy into their timeshare. Half the pools are closed due to pandemic. It all depends on what your looking for.

My husband and I stayed at the resort for one day we couldn’t take it we checked out the following day.Staff was great, very nice peopleGoing to the roomWe could hardly get into the foyer to get to our room we had to get a staff member to open the door because the door was to hard to open Thank goodness the guy was in the areaThe shower door would not open we had to fight with it to get it open and closeA lot of construction on the property was not able to locate the mini golf areaRooms are very outdated need to be renovated. The grounds were beautiful you could tell a lot of time and attention goes into the upkeep, no directions on how to control the thermostat we literally froze that one night my sinuses were awful the next day. The shower head was old only one setting.Did not realize the property is a timeshare I can honestly say if Timeshares were something I was interested in it would have been a Hard No for us.

Main pool is really fun.Rooms are spacious and comfortable.Kitchen could have had more pots/pans2 drawers were dirty inside of buffet table.Master bedroom tv had to keep being reset, but other then those few inconveniences, it’s a really terrific place & stay.I definitely HIGHLY RECCOMEND.

Nice hotel ...close to the stores ..went this weekend.. we had fun in the game room specially the bowling was perfect...the deli has beautiful l things to buy ..we liked it a lot..the unit offers everything u need in the kitchen and many other things... We arrived at the room it was bags of trash outside of the door...not good impression to begin with....they should make sure everything is good before allowing renters to go in...something they need to improve is their bathing supplies...they give plenty of towels that makes it easier for us (amazing) but tiny conditioner tiny ugly smell soap and tiny unscented shampoo...not enough...!!! The struggle is real !...specially if its more than 2 people ..imagine having to bath kids too..we have been here before ..this time we saw nice upgrades to the property ...but downgrades on the customer service...tried talking to one of the staff she left us talking to take two phone calls in front of our face on personal cell mentioned something about her daughter driving from DC and she was checking on her...its perfectly fine..just looks bad when u do it in front of the customers...then when she finished she kept talking to us referred us to another desk to sign up for the breakfast 3 day stay promotion ..(its like a hotel preview etc) we did...then they asked us to stay for a 60 min preview to receive the promotion but after waiting in the lobby for more than 30 minutes and seeing everybody that came after us being taken care of...we felt ignored..and nobody bothered ...we decided to leave we had 4 kids with us it was really disappointing ..we felt like we didnt matter...my husband went and let the same lady know that we were leaving because of all the wait and that it was my bday too not fair to be sitting ducks for how long more?...she barely cared...then we left...

Absolutely beautiful. We are owners at Westgate Myrtle Beach and Westgate Villages, decided to try the lakes for the first time. No hassling, easy check in from your car. Watching the NASA shuttle launch from the balcony!

We had 2 bedrooms apartment. Was spacious, beautiful lake view, full kitchen, they even had a glasses for the wine, absolutely loved it. Feels like home, definitely will go back there

The room was amazing (as you can see). What you cant see if the full washier and dryer, dishwashier, oven with stove top, even a vacuum and broom... The room was stocked!! Staff was very helpful. We stayed two days and enjoyed the tub both days. This will be my go to hotel when Im visiting the Orlando attractions. 5 stars Westgate

The rooms are definitely not sanitized and neither is anything on their premises.

The room was amazing,staff was amazing. We went for a weekend and ended up leaving owning a timeshare. Our tour guide was awesome, Bashir. Will be traveling way more with our family now then just the 2 times a year we used to be only able to afford.

I had no idea the visit would be so enjoyable. The rooms were nice, the children loved the pool, guest(s) in groups sat far enough away from each other allowing for social distancing, workers and guest(s) wore masks on the property. Nice scene. Felt comfortable.

Absolute ScamWe were promised certain items at the beginning of my tour which was very nice but when I got to the ticket area to collect what I was promised they said that they could not do this due to the fact that tickets were sold and they could not do anything about it, they would also not credit me for my inconvenience and time. I highly recommend not using this service and I would wish for compensation hopefully in the future

Me and my girlfriend stayed two nights at this resort. The room was great. I give the room 5 stars. The deluxe king villa is great. The staff....no so great. One morning we were contacted to do a tour of the resort and we would get a 100 dollars in return. When we went to the desk to sign up, we were asked multiple questions and even coached on things to say to another representative. Turns out they charged us $20 dollars to do a timeshare tour of the property. We declined after the rude representative asked person questions about employment, our relationship and even our living situation. It was very uncomfortable and when we decline they hesitated giving us the 20 dollars back. It was a bit sketchy to me and seem like a scam. If you decide to stay here, my advice is not to answer the phone or phone the front desk unless you have a issue with something pertaining to your room.

Beautiful Resort. Some of the pools were closed, but the main one was really happening. They have their own Bars and Restaurants on site. Beautiful lakeside Villas and they offer watersports and a host of activities too.

Stayed at many resorts in Orlando in the past, never again will always come to west gate! The staff was so friendly and helpful which honestly was my favorite part of the whole experience. The hotel is located in the heart of all the must see attractions in Orlando. Universal is a 10 minute drive and international is close also. The premises itself is huge and has a private security at the entrance which made me feel going especially when traveling from out of town. Its a dog friendly hotel and they a very considerate and accommodating to the dogs down to the waste areas. The view itself of the lake is amazing you can literally see it from any building.

This place is amazing, my family and I stayed 2 nights there and absolutely loved it. Cant wait to go back and do it again. Gorgeous view at night.

We have a timeshare and we LOVE IT! Friendly staff, and the cleaners are so nice and always make sure you’re stocked up. Comfortable and cool rooms, pools are always fun, and the owners BBQ is jumping. Drafts is an amazing place for dinner, and the arcade is fun! We also love the Marketplace, its fun to shop around in there. :) Makes the trip so much better. Would love to live here LOL.

Very lovely hotel one thing that stuck out to me is aaalllllllllll the hair in our room. There is hair EVERYWHERE. Im an Executive Housekeeper and this is a big NO in my hotel. Stained sheets on the bed but nothing I didnt change on my own with the extra sheets provided. The views are amazing and overall I love this hotel and will be back.

Amazing!! Very nice accomodations, even at the lowest level (Studio Villa). Our room/suite was spacious, well taken care of, and had great features. The included clean dinnerware and fresh sheets everyday were a plus! The bathroom was also spacious and had both a water jet tub and a shower available. Water pressure was nice and it was hot. Our view was amazing. All of the resort staff was helpful and friendly. We even had a minor issue with our air conditioning (we probably left the door open so it shut off) and they sent out someone right away to fix it. The pools were beautiful and the various shops and restaurants were very cool. My son especially liked the arcade. We spent 6 days in Orlando, and easily could spend another 6 days just to fit in all of the activities that we didnt have time to do. Definitely going to be returning here!

My husband and I live 45 minutes from Orlando and stay all over and have little mini get aways and let me tell you this was one of the best stays we have had. Not only was it super clean but theres so much to do and they are taking covid seriously and taking every messure possible to stay safe.Staff was so friendly and just an overall wonderful stay we will definitely stay again. The restaurant is great to Darryl the manager was the best. Food was so good .

Impressed with how clean the tub, shower and bed sheets were. Most hotels are not this clean. Loved the pier and lots of things to see around the hotel. A nice small grocery store and places to eat right on the campus. We had a great time

I was having a great time until we went to this presentation/ tour which is really them pressuring you into buying a time share. Who really wants to be hassled For 2 or more hours about buying a 30,000 dollar room that you will only be able to stay in 1-2 weeks out of the year on vacation. Even after saying no 10 or more times, they go get more people to try and get you to say yes and even after they get the point your sent to the gift area to pick up your free gift and hassled again. Once he realizes that your answer is no your brushed away like a peasant. Honestly My entire trip was ruined after that, I didn’t even want to spend my last night at the resort and I will never stay at a Westgate Resort again. If you want to have a great trip and not have it ruined just don’t get sold into going to the presentation/ tour. The free gift that they offer you isn’t even worth it.

This place is “alright” we enjoyed our room, they upgraded us for free because the room we originally ordered wasn’t available. Very private you have to have a parking pass to get into the resort which I love for safety reasons. The only issue was the people above us in their room were VERY loud and we called and complained a million times and because they are “owners” they didn’t get in trouble at all, they were smoking weed (which is illegal in Florida) with children in the room.. oh ya DO NOT fall for the timeshare scam. It is a scam, we lost $20.00 and got scammed out of almost a full day of our trip which was originally supposed to only be a 90 minute thing and we were supposed to get free breakfast which was stale eggs and a piece of sausage. Not worth “owner status” other then that this place was actually very relaxing..

Our condo was not clean upon arrival. Hair all over the bathroom, dirty carpets and floors. The pools were full of garbage as well. Hot tubs full of towels, leaves, etc. The resort itself is super nice and pretty, just not up kept very well. Lots of things to do for the kids, the environment didn’t seem overly safe though.

The resort is perfect for large families, and is great for those that want to go and cook instead of going out for dinner. I sadly didnt get to see EVERYTHING, but from what I did see...its truly large and beautiful! The mini golf course was so much fun! I would recommend this and would return again!

Restaurants werent open as advertised. Staff allowed people to smoke in pool areas that were supposed to be non-smoking. Housekeeper pushed my daughter out of way to fit on elevator. Other then pools nothing for kids to do. Maybe a better place prior to covid but would not recommend to anybody with kids. Save money and stay at hotel with pool.

Its ok. Not a 100% satisfaction place. The food is only ok the accommodations were at best 3 stars the heated pools didnt work the hot tubs were outside temp Luke warm the key cards you should keep away from everything or they fail. We even upgraded to a large suite and still was just ok.

Check In was great and seamless. I was asked my preference of floor level which I appreciated. Once checked in a bellman quickly took me to my room where he went up to my room and ensured my keys worked and everything was fine. Room was perfect and couldn’t have asked for anything more. Drafts sports bar’s food was awesome and their bartenders were very attentive and ensured everything was correct with my food and drinks. Checkout was just as seamless and check in and very quick. Only gave four stars because there were some issues. My shower, bed, and towels all had very long hair in them still. Wasn’t quite sure where the hairs were coming from as it wasn’t mine lol and I stayed alone. Second issue is that several time when calling for a shuttle I would be told to stand at the shuttle stop and no shuttle would appear for 15-20 minutes. At that point it was faster for me to walk to the front pavilion from my building than it was to continue to wait for the shuttle.......mind you, even when walking never seen one shuttle. Over all great experience and would stay there again if given the opportunity as it was worth it.

I love this resort it’s laid back super big and the rooms are great pool is open until 11pm multiple pools, bowling, washer and dryer in suites. Huge jacuzzi tubs in rooms I will definitely be coming back and the lake view is incredible can’t get enough of it !! Customer Service is great from every employee from front desk to security to house keeping! Beautiful resort !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything is within a good distance food, activities, shopping!!

Nice facilities. Can spend a week here without leaving to go anywhere. Have many pools and hot tub that will fit everyone need. From bar to activities, game room, miniature golf and restaurant. Also have a market with may other facilities. MST definitely be back

Good place to spend your holidays and close to many tourist things

The resort is huge. A number of pools and things to do. Clean nice rooms. We have a 2 bedroom with kitchen. TVs are big but sound and picture are really bad. If you are a guest, you have to pay for everything even wifi $10 a day. You are close to all the action, good security but unless your an owner, not worth it.

Good room, good price and central for the parks. Our room was a bit small but you can upgrade to bigger rooms - ours still fitted 2 adults and 2 kids for 2 weeks. We didnt bother with the free shuttle transfers and just used Lyft each day c$6-12 per trip to a park. The holiday home sales talk was a bit much and lasted 3 hours. I recommend avoiding this. We did it for the free breakfast but that was rubbish! Some pics from the paddle boat on the lake behind our room.

Nice Westgate resort w/pools but uncomfortable worn out couches w/tears & rips. Very much to be desired coupled with an extremely overpriced Drafts that was Horrible.

Many have already said it. The rooms here are pretty awesome. We got a 2 bed 2 bath condo. Had a patio. Full kitchen. Living room. Washer and dryer. Huge jacuzzi tub. Great value for what we paid. But... for October 2020, year of the Covid19 pandemic, I spent an hour sitting in my car trying to check in at 10p after driving 9hrs to get here. The next night, Saturday night, coming back from a long day at the theme parks, about 930p, It took over 30 minutes to turn into the resort from the Main Street, make it thru the security gate and then be told that we can’t park next to our building bc parking lot was full (Wasn’t even allowed to do a drop off). We had to park in the parking deck near the front and then take a shuttle or walk back to our building. With two passed out kids in the back seat and all of the days gear, it was not a pleasant way to end my day. Hey if u knew these points before signing up then maybe you can set your expectations to better absorb this situation.

This resort is showing its age and lots of the villas need some renovations. We stayed for 5 days this time. We were here just 3 years ago and everything inside the usits are the exact same as it was and is well used. You can just tell that the rental portion has not had the update that some of the owner units The staff is very nice and the amenities on the resort are very nice. Its a place you can come and not have to leave if you choose too. Its great to bring the kids and and lounge by the pool while they are off doing paddle boats or mini golf if you want.

The resort needs a lot of repairs and renovations. I had two rooms, one room had a leak in the bathroom ceiling and the other room had a crack in the ceiling of the master bedroom and black spots on the shower ceiling. The carpet and the furniture needs to be updated. The kitchen utensils were very limited, along with the cookware. The staff was very professional and helpful. They assisted me whenever I needed something done. I would definitely stay here again because of the friendly staff.

Our stay was ok! I cant complain about nothing....The hot tub and pools were all open...the staff was friendly...and they are currently building a wave pool, lazy river and more....i watched as they were putting it together day by day! That was exciting

We loved it herd. We were so impressed with the vacation experience, the staff, the attention to detail and the courtesy. Highly recommend as your vacation experience. Make your vacation money go further and invest in Westgate.

SCAM!!!My parents bought somewhere at Westgate lakes florida, it was a nightmare EVERY YEAR going back, as a new year westgate always brought new problems, making the stays stressful for my parents.I swear the sellers make it sound like heaven, but that definitely wasnt our experience. Every year maintenence prices would go up, and they would find another reason to scam you for every spare penny you have.

Positive: The room was very nice and big. Everyone there was so friendly all while keeping compliance with making us safe with the COVID -19 rules.
