The NY Gilbert & Sullivan Players gave a great perfomance of The Mikado. The orchestra was wonderful and the vocal harmonics were impressively tight. I did not care for the modernization of the plot and lyrics, and I would have preferred if the politics were left out - dont assume that everyone in the audience shares the views and opinions of the company.

We just saw The Little Orchestra Societys production of Rossini for kids. It was very entertaining and fun. The kids loved it! I was very impressed with the acoustics. Even my kids were impressed at how clear and loud the operatic voices were. Its a nice little theater and great that we can honor Danny Kaye.

A bit small and cramp but all considering it was adequate. Was able to hear the conductor and didnt have to strain to see the performance. Lightning is standard.

True joy and full applause come forth easily from this Hunter College art house. Good theater is abundant here. But the venue is small and somewhat primitive by Manhattan theater standards. It is nonetheless well worth your full support and deserves theater community love.

Parking, if youre in a regular (read: not too tall) vehicle can be as close as one street across. A 90-second walk, if the lights are in your favor, at the subterranean lot. (Name forgotten. ) The theatre itself is adequate, good sound, reasonable comfort. Seats were a tiny bit cramped (but Im semi-tall). Overall, comfortable and a good experience.

Beautiful auditorium for graduations, plays, and etc. The one thing that needs to be done is they have to fix rows of chairs. When you’re having big events and you and your party are separated because random chairs are broken then there is an issue, also the day that I was there the AC was down and when you’re on the balcony it can get really hot.

Good venue for music. The facility is spacious. Sound could be a little better but more than sufficient. Seats are spaced nicely for viewing but could be a little more comfortable

Terrific. Saw the Pirates of Penzance here and enjoyed every minute. The actors were amazing and the staff were very helpful. My onlygripe was that the bathroom doors were not locking properly and/or did not exist. Besides that, great show and great job.

Attended Opera Lafayette. The hall is dreadful. Acoustics suck. The chairs are designed for midgets. Uncomfortable doesnt come close to describing this atrocity of a performance space.

If youre going to visit your childs graduation at Hunter but, arrive late, I suggest that the Playhouse is the perfect place to go. Sure you wont be seeing it within the actual site but, it is streamed live in the big screen of the Playhouse which personally makes it easier to see whats going on, and more comfortable than standing or sitting cramped with a ton of other proud family members who constantly move around like eels.
