Although this appears to be an older theater on Broadway,. We were very happy with our experience there. My wife and I saw the Carole King Musical, Beautiful. The seats were stadium styled, so that our views were not obstructed by the people in front of us. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There was a snacks bar, that also sold alcoholic beverages. All the seats have a good view of the stage. The sound and lighting was well done, not too loud or bright.

Great location, easy to get to your seats. Sound system excellent. We were able to take in “Beautiful” was not disappointed. The lead Ms Kennedy was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Beautiful venue. They didnt let you bring alcohol inside the theater. Only water and seltzer. Bathroom on the 2nd mid-level floor

What an amazing show and venue.Did not think that they would be able to bring Mrs Doubtfire to Broadway but I was blown away by the performance of Rob McClure who made the role his own. I could not recommend this show more ... great music, very funny (as you would expect ).What more can I say but book your tickets!

Watched Beautiful here. Theater is very modern with comfortable seats. We had orchestra seats for which you have to go down two flights. Best part is they have elevators for anyone who needs to use them. Had a good time here.

Saw Carole King Beautiful with my family. All seats have good views. Seat are comfortable and bathrooms are clean though lines are very long.Beautiful old original carved wood art on the inside of the theater- loved it!

The Slavas SnowShow was Incredible! No matter how old u are, u will feel like a kid again!!! Dont miss it!!!

Great show! The cast was amazing and the set design was was perfect for a Broadway play that takes place in this century.You dont have to be a Carole King fan to enjoy this musical.We bought our tickets at the TKTS booth and got the amazing half off deal including all fees. We had the far off to the right mezzanine seats which were perfect for those on a budget.

Odd layout -- mostly shoe-horned into a vertical space. Clean restrooms and adequately comfortably seats. Good acoustics.

Who doesnt love Carol King the Musical! Theatre was stately and rich in history. But...very small seats and close close to the lady next to me!!

The Carole King story Beautiful was really great because we love that era of music and ALL of the songs bring back great memories. I also couldnt believe that Paul Anthony Stewart (from my favorite Soap, Guiding Light) who played Danny Santos was in it. I loved his character in the Soap Opera and I was just so excited to be almost up close and personal with the actor that I just had to get pictures of him. My flash wasnt on and I wasnt interfering with what was going on on the stage but I was told he gave me a dirty look and maybe he wasnt happy about it. I personally was in heaven being surprised to see him. The whole cast did an amazing job and hubby and I truly enjoyed ourselves. It was a birthday/fathers day gift for my hubby. I would recommend everyone see it. Carole Kings music really touched me for many different reasons. The whole cast have great backgrounds for different well known plays on and off Broadway as well as being cast in popular Television shows. My hubby was really glad I got us tickets to see the play.

This is a beautiful theater, the staff are very courteous and helpful. Unfortunately there were several patrons in front of me filming the whole show on their phones and another patron smoking an e-cigarette. While I know theirs not much the theater can do about this it was very distracting.

This place is MAGICAL!! The shows are amazing and very interactive with the crowd. The only okay thing is that the angle of the seats on the second floor is tilted at a 45 degree angle, making a big and not careful move meaning injury or risk of falling onto the peoplein the front row, but its still pretty safe, with the big barrier, preventing super serious injury.

Anyone who loves Carol Kings music should see this musical before it closes. It was WONDERFUL! We had seats in the mezzanine and they were fine. Great stage scenery as well!

Unique design - street level is the mezzanine - you go DOWN 2 flights for the orchestra. Slightly more leg room than some houses. Huge ladies room - no line at all while the mens was backed up.

Great comfortable seats. I could sit down and have space between my knees and seats in front of me - I am 6 ft.Excellent view from seats in last row and far end and had great view of stage.Very well organized.

Saw Beautiful last night. Fabulous show. Great cast, great staging, lighting and, of course, great music. Theatre is a classic itself. Beautiful, good lighting in public areas and very well maintained. Lots of friendly staff to direct you. You can bring anything you purchase at concession stand into theatre with you so you dont have to bolt your $15 drink down in 15min. Really special evening.

Even the cheap seats were a great view! Acoustics were good. Bathrooms clean, but go before the show because the intermission is short. The line for the womens bathroom extended up the stairs! Staff friendly. Theater is in a convenient location.

My niece, Tracy, took me to see BEAUTIFUL. The theatre is laid out so everyone can see and hear everything. I would definitely go back!!

Went to see the musical Beautiful and appreciated the great acoustics. Entered by street level to the mezzanine. Noticed that even the back row mezzanine had a very good view of the stage. Well staffed with very helpful and friendly people. Plenty of womens bathrooms downstairs located one flight kept the long line moving. Would definitely recommend going to this theater!

The show was really nice As entertaining, the place was clean and ushers were very nice and a lot of people took drinks to their sits but cos i wasnt blond and blue eye but an olive skin and hair they didnt show me to take the sodas to the sitting area

Yesterday, 11/24/19, saw the amazing, colorful, fun Slavas Snowshow , a must-see mime show about life. Even sitting in orchestra Row S, 3rd row from back wall, views were great! Elevator on left side if needed. Theatre very convenient to Times Square, restaurants, parking.

Good size theatre. Not too big, so sitting in the nosebleed sections are not so bad. I cut a star because getting around intermission is a mess for ladies room, snack bar, etc... Needs a better format and better signage. This could really improve this theaters experience.

So glad we chose to see Beautiful. Great seats. I from for some on the steep steps on the mezzanine level.Wonderfully cool with the warm temps outside.Thank you for the attendant in the womens room. She kept me from guessing.

Beautifully done Broadway show. Fast paced and very funny. World class singers and dancers. I never knew how many songs Carole King wrote and for how many different performers. Shes like a female Bob Dylan. You wont be disappointed, I guarantee you that. Im still flashed from the whole thing, the seating is, as always on Broadway, much too tight. But other than that its definitely worth its money.

Beautifully renovated and I really dont think there is a bad seat in there. The ladies bathroom was amazingly clean and had so many stalls!

This was awesome. A very emotional journey of Carole Kings life and music. We saw Sara Shepherd playing Carole instead of Amy and while I dont have a reference, Sara was spectacular.

Old, smaller theatre. Perfect size for seeing a show. Not as posh as so.e theaters if that matters. I didnt do anything other than walk in, sit down, leave at the end. So I cannot speak to the beverages, restroom, or elevator.

The most modern of the theaters I have been in to date. The main floor is actually 2 floors below street level. Id post a pic of the stage but they were very adamant about no photographs of the stage, even before the show started. The play was Beautiful, principally a story of Carole king. Ive must be getting crotchety... the last 2 shows Ive been to, theyve let people in once the performance started. Including this show and Chicago at the ambassador on Thursday night. Boo.

Lovely theatre with an amazing show, the Carole King story would highly recommend it to all.

Slavas Snow Show

Small and intimate.Tip: always get orchestra seats as the balconies are quite high and recessed - more than the usual distance from the stage.Quite inexpensive compared to the major Broadway venues.

We saw Slavas Snow Show here, and the sight lines were good, the seats were relatively comfortable, and the sound was excellent.

Beautiful is a fantastic show that is terrifically entertaining. Catch it before it closes. And this theatre has a new womens room -- unusual to see in a Broadway theatre.

Great venue! -1 star for how small the seats are! There is NO LEG ROOM and seats are narrow! I’m 6’6” so the employees understood and luckily I was able to be moved to a spot with more leg room!

Saw Beautiful. It was incredible. Carole Kings writing was so prolific the show ends up being almost a revue. Although dont take pictures of the stage (even before the show starts), they have grumpy people come out and yell at you. Same if you sing along with the show (not that we were, but I think the grumpy people just hadnt yelled at anyone in a while).

Saw the play Beautiful, Sondheim is a nice Theater. We had orchestra seat which gave us Geat site lines. Getting down to the orchestra seat meant 2 flights of stairs, so if u cant use stairs there is a huge elevator. Takes a little time but if u need it, which my wife did. All and all a great experience. The staff was great any very helpful.

I can watch this again and again and still enjoy it like I am watching it for the first time. Carole Kingss songs are provided with background stories and you get to know her better as an artist and the people who have helped shape her music. Many scenes are funny, the dialogues witty, and the actors superb!

Loved the show it was amazing ,the seats are a little tight they pack you in like sardines .Sat in the 4th row the view and the sound where amazing loved every minute. For $100 the seat could have an inch more room

Great venue for a fantastic play we saw there. The theatre doesnt have the character of some of the historically renovated ones around town, such as Radio City Music Hall, but is cleanly appointed and up to date. Only downside is the bathroom situation. They need more.

This play was amazing! Top notch. What was even better it is a 10 min walk from Grand Central. I do not think there is a bad seat in the house. I did appreciate the ushers that worked there because they made sure no one pulled their phones out and were recording or taking pictures which is so distracting. The actress who played Carol was the understudy and she was phenomenal. They did a great job. Enjoy!

I love Carole King’s music and found the show to be phenomenal! The sets were lush and interesting as were the costumes. Everyone performed well and the sound was perfect. We were in P row right and (cheap seats) and felt like it was front row.

Finally a theatre built to realistic sizes! Orchestra seats are comfortable. Bathrooms are a little small but better than most Broadway houses.

Saw Beautiful here and despite having nosebleed seats, were actually quite close, could see stage just fine and the aciudtics were good, too. Shout-out to all the staff - friendly, considerate and knowledgeable. A terrific evening!

I went to this theatre years ago with friends to see Pee Wees Broadway show. The seats are nice becuase, surprisingly, there is some leg room for tall people.The sound is great. The stage feels close because it is not huge and that is a plus.If you want to see the actors, go wait in the alley to the right of the outside of the theater and the cast will sign books and take photos.
