We went to the Harlem Dance Schools 50th anniversary celebration spring performance. The photo shows our view from front row of the balcony. Brick walls layer to the back of house. We will definitely be back in 2020. Thank you for a great venue with a magnificent performance.

There have more than one performance space here. They are all comfortable with good acoustics. Bring a wrap of some kind. Thermostat set to frigid winter and summer.

I really enjoyed A Christmas Carol in Harlem...The theater is located near mass transportation and theres no bad seat when seeing a performance..

I loved the play, Tootsie was really enjoyable. I was only disappointed in the tiny selection of snacks. No baked goods, not even nachos.

Super Dope venue. I was blessed to have performed there, and enjoyed many theatre productions, TV productions, readings and talks there. And now I just saw The Wu Tang Clan drop gems in there! Its just a great Atmosphere to be apart of, on and off the stage. Be apart of the magic that lives there.

Great looking theater. Enjoyed a dress rehearsal for an upcoming play thoroughly. Good luck to the cast and directors. Dont hesitate to visit.

Gave it a 3 because usher made a point of telling me theres no eating or drinking inside when there were signs posted. Then he mentioned it again. But so many people WERE eating their snacks, but THAT he didnt catch. Overall the theater itself was wonderful, and acoustic was perfect. I will be back, but will put my snacks in my bag. Why sell them in the lobby and have no intermission?

The play, My Harlem, Tis of Thee is excellent.

.Good venue for concerts, conferences and other engagements that requires stadium seating..Lighting is great..Staff in the Building Complex are courteous and quite helpful..Recommended..

The seats were spacious. The aisles were roomy. The view is amazing from every seat in the house.

I was here for a NYT event and compared to the rest of the university, this theatre is well maintained. Theatre is very spacious, well ventilated, seats are comfortable and clean. The venue looks very classic

Great, and spacious location for my sisters White Coat Ceremony. However, parking is very difficult to find.

The celebration, honoring such an human icon, was just breathtaking, and just hearing his music being performed, by those who were there, side by side working with Mr Belafonte, was simply spectactcular!!!!!

We went for a Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish interview. Not great acoustics for a talk, either that or the sound person was amateur, sound bouncing around, not loud enough nor clear. Would not recommend as a performance space from this one experience.

1 train commute is better during the evening, B or C train you have to walk through the park or up a hill to 141 Street
