Great theater, I went here to go see, The Drowsy Chaperone. The actors were amazing. The theater has an intimate setting. A lot of seats. I could clearly hear the actors on stage from 5 rows behind. Definitely a cool place and Ill be going back to watch some more theater.

We saw Tennessee Williams A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur here on a Friday evening at its Sargent Theatre on the 4th Floor. It has an elevator, and theater is small. Something interesting and different to do on Friday night after drinking a few beers from a nearby bar. Good performance, excellent female actors, and an interesting play to watch on how things could have been somewhere in St Louis Missouri decades ago.

The show was excellent but the venue left a lot to be desired but I cant complain for $11 (TDF), can I? Cold theater, old and worn seats, and a single toilet for the floor. But no creatures except people!

We walked by this place there times, because the sandwich board pointed to a door labeled community court and which had no indication that it might be an artistic space of any sort. But, in fact, when you go down the shabby hallway lit with flickering fluorescent bulbs, there is an amazing stairway to the second floor. The theater itself was intimate. Not a bad seat. The set was amazingly well executed. We saw Safeword - very well written, maybe a bit hasty and rushed in the last scene, but overall extraordinary. Loved the directing, acting, lighting, and music. Creative, striking, meaningful, harmonious, dramatic.Definitely recommend the venue, and this particular show was outstanding.

Quaint little theatre that provides an intimate experience. Great venue.

Saw the Safe Word. Bad acting probably due to bad direction. The script was predictably awful. Will scrutinize the subject matter better next time. Times review lied!

Saw a play here with friends. Its very small cozy theater (on the fourth floor) with a small stage just a few yards from the furthest seating. Located next to a police precinct station, street parking is typical for Manhattan - hard to find! The seats were found to be a bit soft and uncomfortable, mine had a missing armrest exposing metal fastenings to ones clothing. Theres a small concession stand just outside the seating area for refreshments.

Intimate space with high production value. The show Safeword was well written. The cast delivered an emotional performance for me

I am not an aficionado of the theater, but I do enjoy a good show. I saw John and Jen and I thought it was a great show. I shed a tear twice, that is how I will base my rating of the show. As for the theater itself, I dont think you can expect chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, but you do have to check out the old-time spiral staircase! Gave the theater old time charm.

Great place to catch budding actors hone their craft. There is an elevator but access to the seating area of the stage would be difficult for anyone in a wheelchair.

I have seen ok shows here but it is always complicated to enter and find the theater you are going to( I think there are at least three theaters in the building). This last time I was there the seat was broken, and I remember being very uncomfortable because of the age of the seats. The bathroom was pretty dirty, old, smelly and small. I think major renovations can make this place much better.
