Seems a nice theater. Good size for an off-broadway show. Glad to watch Cyrano here where we got so close to Peter Dinklage. He is such a powerful actor. It would make the whole experience more enjoyable if the seat was comfortable and A/C was lower (too cold).

Really enjoyed seeing Accidentally Brave; Maddie is extremely brave, funny, heartwarming and I thank her for sharing herstory! We all have our life challenges and herstory will make me pause and be more patient as one never knows anothers struggles. Great bartender and good acoustics too.

Saw Cyrano with Peter Dinklage, who is as always awesome. A great production. The theater staff are all very nice. The theater is nice, but the seats are super uncomfortable. We were off on the side, and the viewing was pretty good, but I think they shouldnt seat out on the far ends. Definitely worth it to see good shows.

Go see GLORIA — A Life which is playing now about Gloria Steinem! It’s such a good and positive show about women’s history (and it’s all inclusive so men are encouraged to come too!) the theater is right by union square park so there’s an area to kill time if arriving early to the show and it’s nice out. The theater is in-the-round style which makes it personal and a unique theater experience.

The theatre is small and comfortable. The show was not what I expected, thought there would be more humor. (Neurosis) We left at intermission. Great places to eat and drink all along the same block. Parking is convenient as well.

Review №31

The seating when I attended was set up circular around a ground/floor level stage. The seats are bench type with a pillow back support. Seriously the most comfortable theater I’ve ever been to in NYC. There is a bar area open in the lower level to hang out while you wait for the show doors to open. Only street side parking, no garage, but right next to Union Square so lots of subway & bus choices.

This is a small intimate theatre in a former bank. We saw an excellent show there and it was an ideal setting for it. In and if itself- the show- was great. Off Broadway, but a good venue. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Save lots of money and buy tickets directly from the box office! The theater is intimate, but downstairs bar and rest rooms, not favorable if mobility impaired. Very close to all public transportation as Union Square is a significant crossroads. The staff are very courteous. All in all, a most agreeable spot for a date or a fascinating adventure in off Broadway theater, very highly recommended.

A dynamic theater, nobody could deny, which is perfect for a massive variety of shows. It seemed as if the venue was sized for around 100 people, and this was for a show in early 2018 produced by Neil Patrick Harris.Simply based on the exterior of this building I would recommend it for any tourists looking to see the variance of New York City

Review №53

Small, modern, intimate space. Has a little bar downstairs but for the show we saw no drinks were allowed in the theater. The show we saw was great and I ultimately wish that we would have just left after the show and I could have rated this a 5 star experience. Unfortunately I cannot. After the show we went downstairs for a drink. The drinks are pricey but thats often the case at most shows. However, shortly after we got our drinks a man working at the space told us to please finish our drinks and leave because they were going to have a private event just for the cast. There were no signs or no one that had indicated this to us before. Thankfully the bartender was nice enough to tell us to take our time and that he had had no idea about this either. Unfortunately, this put a bad taste in my mouth and I could not help but feeling rushed to leave. In my opinion it could have been handled a lot better.

Saw a great show, In & Of Itself, there and the show was fantastic. Very professional presentation, and the sound was perfect. The size and arrangement of the theater is intimate. The seats are so close together it is physically uncomfortable. I was on the end of a row and I was leaning out into the aisle and my back hurt at shows end. Shows arent known for their comfort or spacious accommodations, though, so Im taking a star off because the D.R. theatre is more egregious than most ... but all are bad in this regard.

The play In&Of Itself starring Derek Delgaudio was just amazing!! Very real, very spot on, Id like to think it was a real story behind it but for sure Delgaudios emotional and intellectual commitment was 100% spot on! a lot of food for thought, different perspectives of perceiving who we are and how are we seen in the world. Entertaining and yet deep in concept Highly recommended play to see in a theater that has the standards to be a top Broadway Show! Bravo.

Theatre was clean and had good lighting design, but chairs are too narrow and uncomfortable and connected with no arm rests or separation. I had a large person sitting next to me and he overlapped onto chairs on both sides of him - so I had less than a full chair width for the show. Was scrunched up and uncomfortable- spoiled my enjoyment of performance.
