Excellent show of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish w/subtitles. Get there a bit early if you have mobility issues to use elevator to theater and get seated. Nice theater. Not a bad seat in house to view stage but you need to be able to handle stairs.

It was a perfect-sized venue to see a show! I saw Fiddler on the Roof which was fabulous. My sister and I sat in the front, but any seat in the house would have been good for this theatre.

This is a very nice, smallish theater. I was comfortable, and I am on the big side (yes, Im fat). The theater is equipped with an escalator for convenience. Acoustics were excellent for this musical, too. Parking lots are abundant and close, but be aware of events at the nearby Javits center.

My husband and I saw Fiddler on the roof, it was fantastic. Although we didnt speak Yiddish the closed captions revealed the entire play. It was funny and some sad parts. The music was outstanding and the performers were magnificent. Im glad we didnt realize that the play wasnt in English because we would have missed a great experience.

I would like to rate a show, not the place. The play which goes wrong is absolutely stunning. Hilarious. Laughed from the first minute.

Terrific space, not a blocked or partial view to be found. We saw the current show, Fiddler on the Roof (performed in Yiddish, and transplanted from the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Lower Manhattan). The staff if the theatre are very friendly, security check was thorough, but not airport intrusive. If youre at all interested in whatever is performing there, you will have an enjoyable experience there based on my experience with the facility. As for how much you like the show (Fiddler... or whatever follows it) is entirely up to you!!

Such a wonderful place to see a show! It helped a lot (!!!) that the show was Fiddler on the Roof (in Yiddish) and that it was so well-performed that we cried our eyes out throughout the whole second half. But still, there is something (a lot!) to be said for context, and there simply is no bad seat in the house. A really lovely place to see a show, this!

So I arrived at the theatre early because I came from far away to meet my sister for a show wed been planning for a long time. At approximately 7.40 after standing in the lobby for 40 minutes I very politely asked the usher taking tickets if I could use the restroom as I was waiting for my sister who had the tickets to arrive. He actually said no. I said Im a paying patron and I need to use, the restroom I just dont have the ticket as my sister hadnt arrived yet. He said sorry no ticket no bathroom. I said that was very rude and illogical and asked for his name. He smiled smugly and said proudly, JAMAAL (proud of what I wonder, he behaved badly to a paying patron denying me a basic human function). Thinking there must be some rational person I asked the person behind the ticket window if he was the manager . He quipped rudely, WHY?.I politely answered that Jamaal wouldnt let me use the restroom even though I clearly was there to see the show , I mean I had been standing there for 45 minutes in their lobby . I was absolutely shocked by his response. He rudely condescended, and actually said these words IF YOU WERE AN AVID THEATRE GOER YOUD KNOW YOU CANT ASK TO USE THE BATHROOM WITHOUT A TICKET . Here s just a few things horribly wrong with his horrific response.1. Being an avid theatre goer has ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING on needing to pee,,(which I shouldve done on his disgusting face).2. Not only am I am avid theatre goer,,I am an amateur performer and musician, but again irrelevant to this imbeciles comment.3. In fact Ive been to multiple actual Broadway Theaters (this ones so off Broadway, its a hop away from New Jersey literally around the corner from the Lincoln Tunnel) where they graciously and rationally allowed me to use the restroom as I awaited the rest of my party who were holding my tickets. And then a manager by the name of Jason had an opportunity to apologize (at this point I had ticket in hand so they stood there with egg on their faces) and instead this highly unprofessional individual who again proudly , with nothing to be proud of, referred to himself as THE BOSS . Based on his atrocious behavior I highly doubt that. He was so power hungry that when I calmly asked if he thought his ticket agent comments was appropriate, he threatened me to go watch the show before he kicks me out! I said why dont you just give me my money back and Ill go happily voluntarily. He refused. Btw the ticket agent behind the window (where he belongs, he belongs in a cage, the way he misbehaved, of course refused to offer his name. And btw , even though I was a paying patron, what wouldve been so bad to allow someone to pee in their empty ladies room. Wasnt crowded. These 3 men? Not sure if any of them merit that word, did not respect their paying customers, did not respect people at all, mocked, threatened and insulted their paying customers.Folks, DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! There are too many other theatres and entertainment venues who respect their guests and the money we spend there. This certainly wasnt one of those venues. And btw, the production was mediocre. I saw the original Broadway production (avid theatre goer and how, but again, so irrelevant ) back in the 70s as well as many other productions including my own high schools production in the 70s which was much better performed than this mediocre performance. These 3 clowns working the lobby do nothing to enhance the show or experience. STAY FAR AWAY. These so called men really hurt my evening and beyond and do not belong in any capacity of receiving guests. I hope they each get denied the use of a restroom , (as paying patrons No less) very soon so they realize , perhaps, the error of their ugly ways.

Saw The Fiddler on the Roof at Stage 42. The theater seating was comfortable for myself and my Mom (56 and 54). If you have long legs, it may be a bit of a stretch, but my friend said was okay (65). The bathrooms were clean and were not located too far (1st or 2nd floor). All in all it was a good experience within the theater. The show itself was very good. Although it waa in Yiddish, there are subtitles (English and Russian) that allow one to follow along with story. It brought tears to my eyes and showed no matter where you come from, you can relate and understand hardship. Would see again.

An attractive and beautifully decorated theater about a 15 min walk from Times Square at 7th Ave. Seating is comfortable for a typical show, bar prices are typical NYC theater prices (expensive). Best place to purchase tickets is from the Box Office stall at Times Square (30-50% discount), about $65/ticket depending on the show. A good entertainment option for budget-minded travelers who would like to see a live show.

Arrived early. God thing it wasnt raining. Had to wait on hot sidewalk till 7:35. Then it took 10 minutes to get through security and ticket scanning. Rush to the rest room . Up the escalator to find signs telling what seats are behind each door. A special announcement informs us where we should go. My seat was 9, but the sign said 1-5. Seated here at 7:58. Its like rush hour going to work. Going to the theatre shouldnt be so much work.
