Fun place to go with the pandemic, it lets you be away from people while not being cooped up in the house. It also isnt hard to do so I definitely recommend

A hidden treasure in a very unlikely place. Minnesota does a really good job of valuing and maintaining natural beauty in urbanized environments. The way the park and activities are cradled inside the woods and natural feeling trails is awesome! Make sure you bring mosquito spray.

Downstream from the Falls is this beautiful park. Follow the stream for tiny bridges, a natural kiddie pool, and gorgeous alcoves for peace and relaxation. Mild hike. Totally worth it. Specially beautiful this fall, love the leaves falling into the water

Lots of wide open space, great for walks, picnics, beautiful scenery for a Twin Cities locale. Its not exactly full of activities but is a pleasant place to spend an afternoon. The bicycle Surrey was a nice touch, although a double one with two older folks and a grandchild is a bit of work. Ill walk next time, you really dont need one for a short visit. Well go back for sure, the falls alone were worth the trip.

This is an absolutely gorgeous park and the waterfall was breathtaking! My family and I traveled to area for a weekend get away and I am so glad that we visited this park, we walked around for a bit and enjoyed the scenery and rented a wheel fun bike. Omg it was AWESOME! We will definitely be visiting again!

This is one of my absolute favorite parks. The waterfall is beautiful and there are so many places to enjoy it because of the many walkways above and below. There is even a place downstream where kids can wade into the water and explore. I often see people having professional photos taken because there are so many beautiful spots. Depending on the night, there are musicians in the park adding to the atmosphere. There is a multitude of picnic areas, bike and pedestrian paths, and great views. Dont forget to stop by the Dairy Queen right by the entrance.

If you can look past all the graffiti, its a beautiful place to take a walk with family. Plenty of places to take a pictures. The walk will get your heart rate up. We didnt find free parking but it was like $4 for 2 hours. Not much trash around. A few squirls and birds.

A must-see for locals and visitors alike! Drop by for a quick peek of the falls, or bring your hiking shoes and follow the creek all the way to the Mississippi! You can also rent surrey bikes for 2-4+ people and hit the bike trails. Dont forget to grab a bit at Sea Salt!

The falls is absolutely captivating, and serene. Plus there is plenty of partly shaded, hilly, open lawn area with picnic tables for large gatherings. At the south end of the park there is one of the largest dog parks in the twin cities, where the dogs have access to the river. Parking can be tough to find, so plan extra time to find a spot and to walk to the park.

Finding this park is like finding hidden treasure! All my years living in Minnesota I never knew we had such a beautiful park. Definitely check out their waterfall, its a majestic force of nature. They also have some history behind the park, like the first house built on the west of the Mississippi River, and the first Railroad on the west of the river. Theres also a playground for kids if they ever get bored. I also saw a stage, so I assume they have concerts every once a while. Whats that? Hungry? Forgot to pack a lunch? This park has got you covered with a seafood restaurant. Tired of walking? You can rent a Pedal Car to give your feet a rest. Its no Central Park in New York, but I say its worth a visit.

LOVE this place, my family has been going since I can remember. When I was little I absolutely loved climbing on the rocks and other areas off the trail that my parents didn’t want me around (whoops) It’s beautiful no matter the time of year, just be careful with the ice in the winter. The falls are always a great sight, and the whole place is perfect for photos. On the hot days, there is a small area for kids to play in very shallow water (and adults too) Different paths and trails to try so it doesn’t get boring and is always super clean and well taken care of. I have brought every one of my friends here at least once!!

Beautiful park. Its awesome to have such an amazing waterfall right in the city. Unfortunately, the trails following Minnehaha creek all the way to the river were closed when we visited, which was a huge bummer. The waterfall is gorgeous and there are tons of other walking/biking trails connected to the park. Parking is a bit annoying as you do have to pay if you use any of the provided lots.

Nice park and waterfall to visit, although I wished that it was a bit more of a hike to get down to the falls to have it a bit more adventurous. Can have lots of people closer to the evening, so the earlier you go the better.Highlight of the visit is the area where most people can sit on the beach area / sidelines of the river and get your feet wet. Some people like to jump into the river and bathe there with their clothes on, which was weird.

Minnehaha Regional park was a great experience because of the amazing environment and awesome things to see. The main part of this park was a waterfall that looked beautiful as you can see in the pictures. There was also a nice walking trail through historical statues. There is a fee for parking there, but the cost is low at around 2 to 3 dollars per hour, so it wont burn a hole through your wallet. Overall, this park is totally worth visiting if you like the view of nature.
