Every summer I forget about this awesome piece of history... and remember it once it’s closed for the season.Setting reminders in my calendar now for ride the trolley... and check out the nearby Excelsior trolley I just discovered! As a kid, we’d always get ice cream after riding the train at the (long gone) Baskin Robbins shop near the train tracks.
If your a fan of vintage things like myself this one is worth a trip. Only 2 dollars a ride as well so very inexpensive. Doesnt go long but to step inside is like arriving back in time.
This is a fun thing to do if you are in the Como -Harriet lake area. Very nostalgic ride on the public transportation of yester year. Brought me back 65 years ago when us young guys would ride on the back platform and smoke. Its a short ride but also inexpensive bit of entertainment. The guide fills you in on the history. Pick a nice day
Its a great experience of the historic forerunner of our current LRT
Its about a 15 minute ride. Inexpensive tickets. Can be hard to find the station if you are not familiar with the area, its in the area of the band shell. The kids had fun. Call and check their running hours because the website was incorrect the day we visited.
Nicely maintained street car line... Can reserve for small parties... Friendly staff....
One of the cutest family friendly tourist attractions in the city.
Scenic streetcar line
Fun to ride on renovated old streetcar. Santa was there too.
Really fun ride and beautifully restored! You get a nice history lesson along the ride too. Fun for kids! Dont forget to let the little ones drop their gold tokens when they board.
Beautifully restored trolley line. Excellent volunteers that are passionate about historic transportation. Travel ~1 mile through urban forest and enjoy views of Lake Calhoun. Make it a great family day-out by exploring nearby Lake Harriet.
I was impressed by how scenic the trip was and by the friendliness of the crews. It is a fun trip back in time.
Just happened upon this little trolley. A short ride is just $2. Loved experiencing the history as others might have done years ago.
Fun, inexpensive, nostalgic trip near lake Harriet.
Very preschoolers-friendly!
Awesome!
Its what Minneapolis is
Great place for kids.
Even fun as an adult!
