Horrible company representation!! Not offering refunds during a pandemic! Nor have they shipped me the additional merchandise I purchased with the tour. They are only saying they will offer a voucher when they reopen (No concrete reassurance has been provided that a voucher will be provided at all) the meager customer service I have been able to get a response from has been so frustrating, that even if a voucher is provided I dont think I would like to spend my time in their company.

Reservation made for a party of 7 for a friends birthday celebration. Check in process was simple. You do need your ID. Our tour guides were Joey and Laura! They were awesome! They drive you around and share their knowledge with you. We stopped to visit the famous Stanley! He is so magnificent! Very photogenic. We tried many wines and loved them all. The views were spectacular as were the grounds! It was a perfect day for this tour. We will come again! Thank You!

A truly stunning experience on one of the most beautiful pieces of terrain Ive seen in the States. The safari guides are light-hearted and informative. The wine is delicious! An in-depth review of the way they treat the animals left me feeling refreshed as the level of care is beyond what Ive seen at most facilities around the world. All in all an incredible experience and highly recommended for anyone.

These people are not offering refunds to folks during a pandemic. Their cancellation policy does not apply here, yet they claim it does.. The cancellation policy only applies if I MYSELF cancel, not if they cancel. This is fraudulent. Its criminal and sick. I disputed the charge with my bank and MALIBU SAFARIS CALLED THEM AND REVERSED IT claiming they issued a statement that I signed off on, which is not true! They dont answer emails and dont answer the phone. SICKENING

My reservation in April was canceled as a result of the pandemic, but Malibu Wines refuses to issue me a nearly $300 reimbursement for this reservation. For awhile they told me there would be a delay in reimbursement but that it would occur, which I understood and was sympathetic to. However, it has now been 6 months and they have stopped responding to my e-mails. I was looking forward to visiting after the pandemic ended, but I will not be patronizing them now if this is how they treat their customers.

Like other recent reviewers have also mentioned and unfortunately experienced, my tour was cancelled back in March due to COVID. While I understand the companys commitment to safety, they have not shown the same commitment to getting a refund issued in a timely manner. As of the time of this review, it has been over 5 months with numerous emails sent to customer service with no action taken to rectify the issue. Just a side note, I booked the tour one day before before it close, I call to make sure the tour it was still happening, after 4 hours paid I received the email about the cancellation, and it’s been 5 months waiting since then.

I booked tickets for 4 back in March before the pandemic for my friends bday. I then rescheduled for July because of the pandemic but they notified me the week before letting me know they were still closed. I then asked for a refund because I was moving away at the end of July and they said I would get a refund of my nearly $300. It has been almost 6 months and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND! I have reached out countless times and they dont even reply to my emails! It is a scam DO NOT BOOK, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!

We had a trip booked in September that was booked in August- they emailed us ONE WEEK before the trip stating that they cancelled our trip. We tried to contact them and they don’t answer their phones or emails. They did not offer any refund or anything. Completely awful. We were traveling all the way from kansas and they cancelled it literally one week before. So we were out 1200$. I called and disputed with the credit card company. Luckily they helped. Looks like this happened to a ton of people if you look at the comments on Instagram and other websites!! Do not book!!!!! They’re accepting reservations, taking your money, and then cancelling!!!!

Made a reservation for myself and 5 of my friends back in March that was promptly cancelled on their end due to COVID. they said it would take an extended period of time to process refunds, so my friends and I patiently waited. However after a month or two we started to reach back out and were never given a straight response. Now it’s been SIX MONTHS with no answer and no refund! Combined we’re out like 400 bucks! If you try to call them it says their office is closed and to email them, but now if you email them it says their offices are closed and they’ll respond when they re open. This is for real criminal they clearly spent the money given to them by their patrons and now don’t have the money to refund. I understand things are tough right now due to COVID but the least they could do is make a plan and communicate with us. Right now it feels like we got swindled out of our money. We had planned on rescheduling our tour once this pandemic was over but now I’m sad to say there’s no way we’ll ever risk giving this company a few hundred bucks ever again.

I am so shocked by the way this company has handled this time. I have a $500 charge back on my account after I disputed it because they wouldn’t refund my money AFTER THEY CANCELED. I am paying for a service I didn’t receive and that is so illegal. Theft at its best and unresponsive to FIVE requests for update on refund! The website allows you to book a wine tour even though theyve apparently been closed since March due to COVID, (which is NOT noted on their website and the website is more than happy to confirm/charge you for a booking that is NOT going to happen because they are CLOSED). I booked two weeks before my birthday in August, they took my money, did not mention anything about the tour being closed/cancelled until the night BEFORE the tour. We flew in from out of state, paid for a hotel etc. only for them to not only cancel our tour but refuse to refund our $190 tickets that THEY CANCELLED on us last minute! Unbelievable. Refund my money now before going to the BBB, Malibu Wine Safaris.

I bought a ticket with some friends for a date in which California was completely shut down and it was expected to extend at the time, so we opted to ask for a refund. It’s been four months and after multiple emails I still have no idea when I’ll get my money back. I was told it would be an “unknown amount of time”. To say this is unethical is an understatement. So much time has passed that my bank has been bought out by another bank and the debit card I purchased tickets with isn’t even valid anymore. Due to the extreme lack of communication and transparency I’m worried I will not even get my money back ever.

They refused to refund us our money at first due to policy. Then after 7 email attempts and my 8th email, they replied and told us to Think of the staff and animals here. BEGGING US TO JUST GIVE THEM OUR MONEY FOR NOTHING. Well now its been 7 months, still no contact from them after multiple attempts to get a hold of them and of course, no refund. This place was a real disappointment. Me and a group of family came to LA for a few days on vacation. While in LA we decided to book a tour here. A few days before arrival they sent emails stating how COVID cases spiked and that they were closing untill further notice, which is totally fine no problem there. The problem came when they refused to give me a refund for them closing, instead they opted for. Gift Card to come back. I don’t live in LA or remotely close to even think about coming back just to tour this place. You would think with LA being a tourist place and them getting most of their money from tourist that they would understand and be willing to give usA refund especially if you’ve spent $100 + dollars. I’ve called my bank and have taken steps for a dispute. Again very disappointed

When getting to the location, there were plenty of signs guiding were to park, the restrooms, where check in was located. It was organized and stress free. The check in process was easy and only took about five minutes. They basically told you the rules, checked your ID, and had you sign a waiver, then told you to wait for your group to be called for boarding. The gift shop was cute. The candles made from wine bottles were my favorite.Zeek and Calvin were such great tour guides to have. They made the whole experience relaxing and fun. They were extremely informative and welcomed any questions the group had. We went through all the animal stops before starting our wine tasting which I thought was a little odd. I also wished we could’ve fed the animals. So then we had the white wine tasting and red wine tasting back to back. I think it would’ve been better to have an animal stop in between. They were very generous with their pours and once everyone went through the flights, they offered more to whoever wanted. We had our red wine stop while the pizza stop which was perfect. The pizza...omg SO GOOD. I highly recommend trying the pizza. Justin really knows how to make a great pizza.

Honestly, what could be better than touring a vineyard, sipping on wine and feeding llamas and zebras all in one afternoon? I dont know about you but I cant think of too many things. My boyfriend booked us this tour for Valentines Day and we couldnt have been more happy with the experience. So one thing to note is that the Malibu Wine Safaris are actually in a different location from its picnic/wine garden area. Its advised to arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour start time. Once its time to begin, youll board an open jeep-like vehicle which shuttles you all around the property which is actually quite vast at over 11,000 acres. With the tour, youre escorted to a few different areas where you get to sample wines as well as pet and feed some of the animals. The wine tasting was awesome, and you get to taste 6 wines (3 whites and 3 reds) during the tour. Plus, you get to enjoy some of their signature spreads with crackers. The balsamic onion dip is out of this world good! While you probably wouldnt get wine wasted by the end (unless youre super lightweight), youll leave with a nice, happy buzz. Our tour guide was very entertaining and made all 90 minutes of the experience a blast. If youre planning to go during the rainy season, remember to wear closed toed shoes as some parts of the property were quite muddy.

My family went last weekend and the staff was amazing, but we had gone on this tour a few years ago and this time just felt like a let down. The transportation was wonderful and the guides did an amazing job, but you can no longer feed the animals or get close to them. The tour is pretty short and you only stop twice to taste wines. The pours were very minimal, very minimal! We had 6 total tastings and none of our group of 7 felt even a tiny bit tipsy. I think if you added all my tastings up, it wouldnt have equaled even half a glass of wine. A bit disappointing. You also cannot buy wine there. They do have a wine & beer tasting room that they are somehow affiliated with about 20 minutes away, but they no longer shuttle you there. We took an uber because we didnt want to drink & drive, but everyone one in our party would have been fine to drive. Theyve changed to a sanctuary for animals now so you cant get close to the animals, I think that was the biggest let down.

We had an open air Safari vehicle with a driver and guide, sightseeing some animals (alpacas, zebras, llamas) and tasting 3 whites (at one location) and 3 reds (at another location). Complimentary crackers and spread. Tips for drivers/guides is appreciated at the end of the tour. The vineyards looked really good considering considerable damage from the Woolsey fire. The only downfall is wine cannot be purchased on site. Instead, you must drive 45 mins outside of Malibu (contact gift shop for exact location).

The main thing that angers me is that I was given very short notice that my tour was canceled the night before versus at least a day ahead or earlier. I requested a refund on March 16th and it was processed. It is now May 15th/ 2 full months since I requested my refund and I have NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY. Honestly I had high hopes for the tour, but quickly (10 minutes in) things started to go bad. So we paid for a paid private experience and it did not feel like that especially for the price we paid.1) Our group could sense the disorganization by our driver and tour guides behaviors and words to one another.- Supposedly a member of our group heard that as an organization they had fallen behind on tours and had to push back some tours. So because of this our tour guide and driver had to figure out plan b on what to do as two safari trucks ahead of us were already parked for some of the features on the tour. (Honestly, this could have been fixed if they just pushed our private tour by 30 minutes maybe 15 minutes later, giving the tours ahead of us time to do attractions and give us the tour that probably paid more an actual private experience. Instead, our tour felt very cramped and rushed.)2) NO Transparency- There should have been a conversation with our group about alcohol needing to be consumed on tour. This was once not disclosed to us and when we got to the last drinking spot, which was in the last 20 minutes of our tour, they were rushing us to get back on the truck but never indicating that this was the end. When we got to the end we politely asked what would happen to the alcohol and spreads we didnt finish, they reported, we cant give you any of it and it will be disposed because it needs to be finished on tour.3). if there is alcohol left in bottles why not just create a designated area to finish?4) It seems that the user experience has been completely disregarded and become more of a commercial business trying to get more people in and out.5) for the price we paid, we were better off going somewhere yes.6) I do give it a solid experience to try for the basic price, but other than that I will not go back and dont suggest paying for the private experience. Im sure other groups had a better experience, but it seemed that this day specifically there was chaos.

Our visit was on 10-1-17 and we did the Safari Tour where we got to meet the infamous Stanly. I cannot remember our tour guides (they are in a few photos) but they were very friendly, funny and informative. Its a great tour to taste fabulous wine and get to feed animals. The main reason I chose this tour was to see Stanly but I am overjoyed with everything else we got to see and learn during the tour. Its great to hear about the background of the owner and family and how the winery got its start. The animals were very friendly and some, very photogenic. The last stop where we see the vineyards and different scenery was also lovely. They provided finger food snacks for everyone which was a nice touch. The guides make sure you get any and all photos that you want during the tour. Tons of great areas for the perfect instagram or snapchat photo! I would recommend everyone to do this tour.

Malibu wine didnt allow us to cancel due to heavy rain, they offered to rescheduled for $25 each (nearly half the ticket price??) they said they were rain or shine so we thought oh they must have safe guards against their customers getting wet, boy were we wrong. They provided very cheap ponchos that ripped very easily. This place is not made to be operating under these unsafe conditions. We were SOAKED and freezing, not to mention barreling through literal mud tracks in pitch black and in the pouring rain...bad idea. I cant believe they actually allowed people to take the tour under those conditions or that they themselves would be okay with the liability. Crazy.

I had so much fun on the Malibu Wine Safari!I visited for my birthday at the beginning of March, and we did have some rainfall that weekend, as well as the day of the safari. The registration table was ready for us with rain ponchos and we had enthusiastic guides throughout the whole tour. The animals were a perfect way to breakdown a day of wine tasting - and Id love to go again when its sunny too!

This was an amazing experience and the grounds are heavenly! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the ranch, the wines and the animals. Our tour drivers Calvin and Nicole S were very comical in the way the presented the information, making everyone laugh through the entire tour. The guides were passionate about their job and truly care for the animals. It was fun meeting and getting to know others on the tour as well. I could do this tour again tomorrow, I will be revisiting soon!

Will and Julia are the BEST. Came here for a bachelorette weekend and had a blast. The property is beautiful, the wine is delicious and the animals are adorable. My only complaint is that I wouldnt buy a bottle of the Sangiovese to take home with me. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable afternoon!

Was there for the garden dinner last night and utterly disappointed. You would think @ $1200 for a table of 8 they would have tablecloths on the tables instead of dropping the bread on a bare dusty wooden table. As for the meal itself, it was completely lacking in flavor and presentation. Not to mention the guest chef for the evening admitted she had never done a party that big before.I personally could of done a better job. Again it was a complete disappointment.

We were there 2 weeks ago to celebrate my birthday my boyfriend and i, wr had a blast!! Soo much to see loved the tour!!zoe and dont really remember his name were amazing!! Just $380 for both of us what it wouldve made it a better experience couldve been get more closer to the animals like it was before. Or at least out guides couldve told us why theyve changed the rules.Another thingit couldve been great if they had their own wine store.Ducks we have yo buy it obline. The tour was kind of short too.But at the emd the customer service wss was exceptional.Idk if was one manager or an owners son waited with us until our uber arrived like 40 min after they were suppyo be closed.Love it!!!

The tour kicked off right at the scheduled time. There are plenty of opportunities for pictures and to interact with the animals. Our tour included a “meet and greet” with Stanley the Giraffe. The initial servings of wine are super light but depending on your group size, there may be a chance for seconds. Ultimately, don’t expect to leave this tour buzzed. :)

My friends and I did the Stanley Tour, and it was SO much fun. The wine offered was super delicious, although fair warning, it is not sold on property. Our tour guides, Alex and Will, kept the energy light, played music for us, and all together made the experience super fun. They also claim to be Instagram trained, for any large groups.Lastly, the animals are adorable. You get to feed Zebras, Llamas, a cow, and of course - Stanley! The tour as a whole is about 90-105 minutes, and there are six wines offered. So, while it definitely isn’t an “all day event” it’s a quick getaway, and if you’re as sold on the wines as we are, there is a separate tasting room (I don’t remember where) and of course online!

Our driver was ruby which was very knowledgeable about wine and Nicole was the tour guide and she was absolutely hilarious kept us laughing the whole ride. Me and my friends were a young (24-29) group of New Yorkers looking for a fun time and this was it we got to drink and enjoy the animals and the scenery. In other words it was lit!
