A jewel in Douglas County Parks system. Many, many branches off the main trail. Great for biking and hiking. Views in almost all directions. Panorama of the front range is amazingly beautiful. Many birds and wild flowers for all to enjoy. On a lovely day you can see for miles. It gets hot up there... start early in the day during the summer. Take water!

Beautiful views to east over Denver and the mountains to the west. Trail is wide which easily accommodates bikes and hikers. Im not use to fences lining my trails, which is kind of a bummer because you cant get to some of the flora due to them.

Followed GPS and it took us into a cul-de-sac in the neighborhood. There were maybe four spaces so parked, but not sure the neighbors loved it. Park at Mountain Vista High School.

An oasis of nature in suburbia. Rolling terrain and great views in Gambles oak and yucas. Trails are easy-rolling mountain bike trails that are part of the Douglas County trail system. If you are a Highlands Ranch resident, youll have access to additional good trails that intersect with with the county trails

This is a great place to walk or run or ride a bicycle. The trail can be muddy in places after a heavy rain or snow fall, but normally its fine. The views from this trail are beautiful on clear, sunny days.

Easy-rated hikes for beginners. A great place to bring mountain bikes. The elevation gains are minimal and the hikes offer a nice view of the mountains as well as a good view of downtown. Nice place to go after work to get outdoors. The area has a porta-potty at the parking lot and the trail is pretty well marked and maintained. Lots of birds attracted to this spot and signs of deer that roam the area. There are miles and miles of trails to explore here.

Neat trail and views, but you are in a 20 ft wide corridor with barbed wire on both sides from the trailhead to the overlook at least. It kind of diminishes the open space feeling.

Nice trails for a quick ride or jog after work. Fairly smooth and not technically challenging . Mostly rolling hills. The scrub oak can make for lots of blind corners. I have come close to crashing a number of times as some riders will be going pretty fast. It is a good idea to have a bell or something that jangles/makes noise so others can hear you coming.

This is a compact dirt or gravel path that runs for miles its heavily utilized on the weekends and not so much on the weekdays. There are various other bike paths and trails that break off from here.

1.5 mile hike from Griggs Rd. East/West Trailhead. Great views, lots to see. Good spot, over time, to watch the build out of Sterling Ranch near Titan Rd. This trail also has connectors for additional 17 miles of HRCA & Back Country Trails (resident members and guests only). Wish someone would build an Incline in this area.
