Very welcoming. First time at this meeting. A gentleman greeted me after the meeting and gave me his number. I was impressed.

What a great idea! This is only the second playground I have been to that offers a small FREE pool area for kids! The plus side about this place is that it has staff there to keep an eye on anyone in the pool area. So bad behavior wont be tolerated inside the pool area. It has a small swing set, play area, 2 basketball courts, small baseball field, small pavilion area, benches and picnic tables that surround the grounds. With plenty of grass area to picnic. The park seems to be kept up with the cleanliness. And the staff is very attentive, with 6 to 7 people on shift. The only downside is you have children running around outside the pool area with very bad mouths. Parents fault, not the township. I did notice they provide snacks for the kids that attend the water area at 3pm. That is actually a great idea! It takes alot out of a kid playing outside and not have a snack. So bravo to you guys! For reference to future visitors, the water area is opened and staffed Monday thru Friday from 12pm until 4:30 pm. With the snack break occurring from 3pn until 3:30pm, at which they lock down the water area. There are restrooms available during the time frame of the pool hours also. Definitely take your kiddos for a first time visit to see how you like it!

The park generally clean and it was well maintained. All the playground equipment was in good repair as well has the basketball courts. All the basketball hoops still had their netting. The park offers a small, covered pavilion but the pool that was there has been removed.

LOVE the splash pool here it is free and the volunteers do an amazing job, this location participates in the summer meals program. It does get pretty crowded during those hot summer days. Under 4yrs of age must wear a swim diaper, they also sell them, usually $1/pc I believe. One of my favorite summer spots!

It is a nice part but could be better. The carpet under the swing is torn apart. The kids that play on the basketball court trash it all the time.

We drove an hour for this place to look nothing like their website does. Its a very small park and splash pad not operating. Looks like this place might be closed down idk. Only person around was an older man walking his dog down the street past the park.

Sixth Ward park is a quiet, well-used park at the edge of northeast Lancaster. The park was redone in the past few years, with an excellent splash pool, well kept landscaping, and 2 basketball courts. There are several picnic tables and a softball field at the opposite end. The swings and playground are small but clean and newer.

The sixth ward park is like any other park in downtown Lancaster except for its pool in the summer which is a wholesome place to sit and cool down with the family

Recently renovated with childrens water-playground. Basketball courts have new asphalt that allows rain to pass through. Only complaint is the water playground is not open/staffed on weekends, only Summer weekdays.
