Cool park to walk and have a good desert outdoors! Park rangers for safety are at hand! Which is awesome! No restrooms outside but in the office there is but a bit of tyranny when the park rangers ask for ID for restroom use! As a survivor of multiple crimes and having law enforcement and military family I do believe in safety, respect and dignity for all! I also believe in freedom, rights, liberties and justice for all!

Whats not to love about this trail its enchanting nearly and can make for some awesome photos with the bridges and natural desert backdrop. Great place to bring all ages for group or family fun. All the trails intertwine and you can do some miles easy but not challenging. One of the (not so hidden) gems here in Lancaster. Anyways check it out if you have not already its free and healthy.

Very nice park in the middle of the city. I attended a astronomy event here which was really great. They had an astronomer come and give us a 1 mile walk and talk where he talked about the solar system at a high level. This walk was perfect for people who have basic to no education on the stars and planets and constellations. It was also a perfect night for a walk. After the astronomy walk we were able to stick around and look through very advanced telescopes that were set up and operated by a local astronomy club. They were a great group to talk to and very passionate about the solar system. I saw globular clusters and nebulae that I never knew about along with being able to see the moons and the red stripes on Jupiter. Quite a fun experience.

Ive lived in the desert my entire life and I still find this place very interesting. This is pretty much the best example of what are desert used to look like before human intervention took place. Its almost like going back in time. Theyre still certain parts of our desert that look like this but theyre not nearly as healthy. Either way if youre in the area and looking for a good place to do a walk or a jog this place is worth checking out.

Our first time here.... after living in the Antelope Valley for years! Nice way to get in a good walk if you haven’t been doing many physical things except sitting behind a desk 8+ hours per day. LOL. Going there for your walk will help build endurance. Would have given this a 5 but... stopped in the visitor center and the young gal in the center said “Hi!”. And then the entire time we were there she was talking on her phone... a personal call... loud.... so it was very distracting as we viewed the displays. I actually had a question or two but was getting increasingly frustrated with hearing her entire conversation I knew I wouldn’t come across in the right way. Whether she’s a volunteer or getting paid.... visitors should have been more important than that phone call.

Interpretive sign:This large wiry creosote bush (Larrea tridentata) before you, the only creosote bush in this woodland, is about 10 feet high and 20 feet in diameter; it has been estimated to be nearly 800 years old by botanists. This may be the oldest living organism in Lancaster and the entire Antelope Valley.

The moon walks are excellent, as well as the astronomy clubs telescopes.Morning strolls with children, family, and friends are so nice.
