Really great place to play tennis. I come here occasionally with friends to play tennis and its a really great experience.They also have batting cages which is a lot of fun. Ive done the batting cages a few times and they offer different speeds at which the ball is pitched.Basketball courts are also offered here.Sometimes classes or other events would be held in the building nearby the park. Theres also a YMCA nearby if you want to go swimming or do something the park does not provide

A huge community event to celebrate Californias own poppies. This is where $6 buys you a hot dog and a bag of chips!Come with family for a day to eat, support local business, greet cops and fire fighters, buy stuff you dont need and listen to music.

I really love this park its really big with lots of trees for shade. Well kept with lush green grass. Known for their events and festivals every year.

Clean with lots of trees to rest or stay in the shade. This park has lots of events and activities all year round. This place is also a great place to set and plan celebrations and parties (if you like outdoor fun).

Great Park. Always love coming with my kids and family. Had many get together here and has a great community around it. Huge also so can definitely always explore and have fun in new areas of it.

Very beautiful and relaxing place

Playground in terrible physical condition. Playground was torn and uneven, vinyl cover on equipment torn and exposing rusted sheet metal.The main playground was infested with burrowing bees, there were hundreds of bees and dozens of burrows in the sand.

I love this park! I take my dog here. There is plenty of grass, shade and always clean. There is a nice little playground for the kiddos. If there are baseball games there is usually a concession stand. Ive never felt unsafe at this park.

I remember Black Angus having better steaks but the overall visit was very good. The steak was my main reason for going and it was not as good as it could have been. I liked everything else and the service was great. I feel they are buying cheaper, lower quality steaks from my last experience. sad but hopefully it will improve.

Making it a tribute park to honor Sgt. Steve Owen was so wonderful of the city to do. I grew up going to this park when it was Lancaster City Park. I loved playing ping pong and fooshball at the recreation center. Now we go for the batting cages. They have plenty of different sport fields and courts. There are big play areas for kids of all ages, lots of grass for pets, and great areas for parties. We have lots of wonderful memories with friends, family and neighbors at this park. The poppy festival is awesome. Cant wait to go for a taco truck night!!

This place is beautiful, it has always been clean and a great environment for children to play. I come here frequently with friends and I always have a great time using their tennis/ basketball courts. This place has the YMCA and while I have never been there, it has always been a great place to be as I heard from others.

My favorite park... Hands down! The grass is heavenly and ice cream trucks park right next to the playground... Cant get no better than that right there️

This is a beautiful park ♡♡♡ I dislike the bathrooms but I mean its a park so it wont be perfect and spotless. It would be helpful if there was maybe more spots for adults to be able to be outside and see there kids. This park could use a makeover but its fine still. I love the grassy area it would be better if it was always clean but like I said earlier its a park. A second or third drinking fountain would be nice to have because the one there is leaky and you always have to wait for the next person to finish. But other than those issues this is a great park.

Love, Love, Love this park... Very Clean and peaceful. Bbq grills, clean bathrooms most of the time. Sturdy Play equipment. Could use a brighter light over play structure at night. Overall Great Place for family

Do not park your car there people steal cars and parts off your car there 3 co-workers had parts and the a car stolen there in the last 3 months

Love what theyve done with the place. Great location. Not too far from food and a great place to take the family while having a vehicle serviced.

This park has a very nice walking area for dogs, there is a fountain for dogs to drink water and plenty of poop bags the park is beautifully maintained nice trees offer shade.

It was a beautiful day today with the ones I love most.

Beautiful grounds. Lots to do. Great place to walk or bring the kids to run around. Food trucks on Monday and soccer and baseball and softball. Fun for the whole family.

The annual Poppy Festival. Was a great time. Live concert. Shows. Dance group performed and a sea lion show which was fantastic.

This park is has a great set up! Plenty of Fields as well as a great play area! During the summer they host several food trucks known as their Monday Bites event and that is definitely worth checking out! There is plenty of seating and bathrooms close the playground equipment.

It is a good sized park with everything you would expect from a park experience. Highlight of the park is a lot of open grass.

Besides the teenagers taking degrading photos of themselves and on top of the newer horse statue. Id say its a Pretty friendly park to go for a stroll. I would call it the baseball park instead of Steve owen though. Walking around the whole park you see a few people in cars smoking weed, each field having baseball practice, a couple people on the 1 basketball court, a few homeless with shopping carts, some empty beer cans littering the parking lots here and there, Lots of families and kids on the 1 big playground that features rocks to climb, acouple bbqs going, some couples on the grass with a blanket, some loners sleeping, the occasional cop driving through the street that goes down the middle of the park, and a dog walking zone tucked in the back along the freeway with poles containing waist bags for your pets. The YMCA is located here with kids swimming inside the building and kids outside with foam swords with what looked to be amateur fencing or ninja class. Overall I would come back but always maintain your awareness because anything could and probably will happen in this park eventually if not already.

Great park! The playground is kept up nicely. Lots of people hanging out. Large park with picnic tables and grills. Love watching softball games in the evenings.

I love this park! There isnt a doggy park here but plenty of grass and shade to walk around. There are baseball diamonds, a few grills and benches and awesome play area for the kiddos.

Clean and safe family vibe .. Dont miss the big food catering truck events.. Lots of different foods and fun to experience.

This park is amazing but there is a bit of a homeless presence there. Not intrusive.

Great place to take kids to play quite and clean

Food trucks on Monday are the place to be! The park is staffed with helpful people and they put out some table and chairs. The grass is perfect for a blanket to eat as well. Between The Fat Queso with their Avocado Fries and Izzys tostada and the Rainbow Ice we were set and enjoyed every part of it.

Good size park. Has fun learning and climbing activities. Appeared clean and maintained. Restroom right next to the playground. Not sure how clean it is since I didnt go in. My 3 year old son had a blast and didnt want to leave.

This is a huge part with a very large playground. There is lots to do and lots of shade (great for the hot sunny days). There is also large grassy areas with shade and softball fields.

Very quite and clean. Nice to take a healthy walk around..and very beautiful to the eyes..on of my favorite parks.

I dont visit enough to relax and enjoy nature but a few times have been pleasant experiences. I have no comment about restrooms since Ive never used them. I dont even know the total. I bring my own water bottles. I refuse to drink from public fountains. I can share from others disgust with the one public restroom for bus riders and that is its often occupied and unsanitary.

This park is big and covered with well maintained green grass and is kept pretty clean. Has a playground with swings for kids, has baseball fields, has an abundance of picnic tables with barbecues, and tennis quarts

Without this park, the city of Lancaster will be in hurt mode. This park is very active with softball leagues. There is a batting cage that you can practice your hitting. You can play basketball and volleyball until dawn because they have lights. The YMCA is next door. People use this park as a training ground for many sports. This includes soccer, football, softball, baseball, basketball, tennis, and volleyball. If youre a sports person like me, you will find out that this park is great

I went to the food truck event and had a great time. I love all the organized activities at this park. It was very well done and the food and service were great. It was a nice, fun atmosphere and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Beautiful place ,where it usually celebrate good events with a good organization and satisfying ending ,and it has a good name of the great man who was sgt. Steve Owen, the man, the friend and the hero.

I went to play tennis there. The courts are well-maintained and it was really pretty. I like the way they had them set up. This whole park is gorgeous and huge. But my very favorite part is the batting cages. Im really happy they renamed this park after that Sergeant who was killed because I heard from people in the community what an outstanding man he really was.

This park is nothing fancy but its a nice place to walk my dog. Theres a small playground for the kids and some baseball diamonds. And a few picnic areas.

Great park...wonderful shade trees to relax under while watching games

My kids love this park. I love how green the grass is and its spacious. Lovely park. Theres walking trails. They have fields for baseball. I bring my dogs here. Bathrooms could be cleaner...but its a park I dont expect much. Ice cream man is always posted. Parking is always easy. Probably my favorite park in Lancaster. Even beats Apollo park.

Lots of areas to explore and plenty of shade. Great for family events, birthdays, reunions, showers, or just to sit and people watch. Plenty of parking. Access to drinking water is rather limited so be sure to bring plenty of your own.

I love this park and many pieces of equipment available for younger children. Make sure to keep a close eye on your children it was little uncomfortable to see shady people lurking about in grass other than that if your willing to keep a good eye on your family its nice park indeed. Grounds are kept clean and parking is easily accessible.

This is a lovely park despite the noise from the adjacent freeway and, currently, the bad smell of the fertilizer which is spread throughout (and which must be promptly washed from your dogs paws before he licks them.)

As far as playing sports for fun this is the nicest park in the valley. The tennis courts are well maintained and there are pleanty to go around. They have pickle ball area as well. There is a sand valley ball area and two full court basketball. There are multiple softball fields and adjacent batting cagesIf you have small children there is also playgrounds. Bring a lunch and enjoy it at one of many picnic tables. There are public restrooms available

All kinds of folks and food and different booths with goodies. The food is delicious especially the smoked bbq meat. Parking is across the street at a fee. Poppy festival was from 11-6 on Sunday that I know of. Lots of police

Its a really great place. Plenty of things to do and a good amount of people to share it with.

Clean, safe area, big playground, wide open grass areas, Working water fountains. Whats not to love!

Fun playground with sections for kids of different sizes or adventuresomeness. Some areas were in the shade when we were there mid-afternoon.

Ok during the day dont go after dark. Not safe

I would drop my daughter off at this park to catch the bus that took them to the Santa Monica Beach. It is one of the nicest parks that we have here in the Antelope Valley! After I dropped my babies off and they caught their bus. I would take a power walk around the park. There were so many trees in the park, it was like walking in the hills above the Valley. I was by myself, but I felt safe!!! I plan to make that one of my favorite places to go to when I do my power walks!!!

This is my absolute favorite park in the Antelope Valley. From the Monday Bitez to the nicely treed areas - it never disappoints.

Great park, just wish those who visit would clean up better after themselves during Monday Blitz. Other than that, great atmosphere.

Visited for the festival in April. Tons of fun. Monday Bitez in the park has tons of food trucks with yummy food. Check it out if you want some added variety.

I walk at this park 3 times a week its well maintained. Lots of trees. A lovely place to go for a picnic or just have a relaxing day at the park. Its a very nice park! I LOVE THIS PARK:)
