We enjoyed the musical road.....although it last only for few seconds but its a different experience altogether, Once in a lifetime. Sound comes well at around 55 mph.

Really fun! Especially when you can’t go anywhere! My boys loved it! Especially the 6 year old. It is out of tune, and sounds better when you’re going a little on the faster side. I read 65mph is best, but I didn’t go that much over the speed limit. It’s a fun way to go see the poppies. Keep your distance tho!

Needs improvement but still a nice place

Have taken it at various speeds, Speed Limit is 55, in the this area, and was a bit slow. 45 was WAY TOO SLOW. 65 sounds best, and about the correct tempo for the song. I will continue to update my review with a more accurate speed for the proper tempo.

The place is quite nice for soul searching

It might be something that is not the biggest thing but the principle of it was once in a lifetime. Who knew your vehicle could play some music with its tires! If passing by the area I recommend it and dont forget to thank the people that worked hard on this small but big masterpiece!

That was cool its fun to do especially if you love music.....My son thought it was the coolest road so far....

I was on my way up to Canada to be euthanized but then I drove across the musical road and my whole world changed.

Cool experience, try it at different speeds (within the legal limit) nothing like having your tires playing a Melody while driving down the road.When it was at its first location it was to close to a local neighborhood and people were enjoying it so much late into the night it had to be moved to its current location. So take the kids especially the young ones as well as the grandparents and surprise them, they should get a kick out of it.

We went 60 mph and it sounded more clear. Huell may have called it California Gold.

I know its supposed to be the William Tell Overture, but I must say, this sounds absolutely nothing like it. Ive heard that there was a mistake in the calculations somewhere, though Im not sure what it is. You can definitely tell. Its completely out-of-tune and generally awful, especially for a music student like myself. I appreciate the work that went into this, and I definitely think its an interesting concept, but I cant excuse the fact that it sounds nothing like William Tell and is painful to listen to.

Musical Road is a fun little just off the freeway attraction. It is definitely not something Id go out of my way to see/do but since we were going right by there there kids got a kick out off it.

Such a great experience especially knowing its here and the only one in the US.

There are grooves in the road, and if you pace your car at and even speed around 45 mph the sound of your tires should play a music... Its a fun experience.

It isn’t perfect, but it’s really cool. Wouldnt go out of your way to drive it. But if your in the area or passing thru, it’s worth doing

Fun thing to do with grandkids

This is so AWESOME! This idea of cutting small groves in the road should be used for cross walks. It would help notify people of approaching traffic (especially for the blind).

My friends from LA ask me why I live out here in the middle of nowhere until I take them on the musical road then they totally get it

After years of wanting to drive down this road, i finally did it. Loved it! Drove through it at different speeds and we even stopped to look at the ridges, so cool! We even waited for a car to pass by and hear others make the melody, definitely worth the detour!

Fun for everyone! Drove by 6 times just to record at different rates of speed to hear the difference. There is no parking on the roadside.

It was definitely some song, not sure if William Tell. Just a couple miles from the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds and certainly worth the trip if in the area. It does sound better at 65 MPH, though 55 is the posted speed limit.

Fun patch of road thats not too far out of the way, which is good because its too short to be worth going much out of your way for.

Something diferent

We were just out in that area a few months ago visiting the Kill Bill church and had no idea this road was there. Wish I would have seen this sooner.
