MUST READ: For medically exempt peopleStay was great but then again only been here for a day so far. Went to build a bear with my daughters and it’s my youngest birthday and in the middle of a father daughter moment we were interrupted by manager enforcing their mandates on me, yet I’ve seen so many employees wearing a mask around their chin and not worn properly. It’s only about complying. Day 2 last day this morning went for coffee in the hotel. There were approximately 10-15 in a solid line I was last in line just walked up and here come the mask patrol, the lady at the register with two people she’s helping stopped everything to start asking me for my compliance strap in front of all 10-15 people with everybody now staring at me so I told her I’m medically exempt and apparently I didn’t gel to the world loud enough. So I get this attitude look with remarks under her breathe ugh as she’s grabbing for a mask. It’s fall/winter time I had a long sleeve on with a band on that’s for medically exempt I forget maybe she couldn’t see it so I rolled my sleeve up and stuck it in the air for the World to see my condition and like that she dropped it. Problem is now the customer she did this act in front of is now talking about me with her and why we can get away with this crime of no compliance. I just left I went to the store and got my coffee from somewhere else. I will not be returning and for how much money I dropped on this vacation is over the top and with the way some of these folks treat the people that keep them in business not another dime from me.Update: spoke with the manager on better coaching of staff on handling their approach. Probably need to change protocol so people don’t feel like they are being watched and if they are going to enforce mandate mask wearing that all staff complies with the same rules.

I came to this place with family and many friends, exited for a vacation. I took time off work for this and it was the first time I got to go on vacation every since covid. My dad came a day later and the manager was passing by and told my dad to put his mask on once and then he came back and my dad just came out of our room into the hallway and the manager saw that his mask wasn’t covering his nose so he called two other employees and attacked my dad telling him that we all had to leave. My siblings were horrified and they were all bawling their eyes out because they were looking forward to this vacation. One of our friends just walked in the hotel… This was his first time even seeing his family’s room and they were next door to our room. As he was walking in the room The manager walked up to their family and told him that they also are kicked out because the guy that just walked in wasn’t wearing a mask. He didn’t even have a chance to walk in his own room!!! As we were walking back to our room to pack all our things they LOCKED us out of our room with all of our personal belongings still in there!! At that point we had to call the cops because they weren’t opening our room and their were babies screaming and kids were terrified that they wouldn’t get all the favorite toys and personal belongings. If I could rate this place a 0 I definitely would. We definitely will never be coming back and recommend for every other family out there looking for a vacation to think twice about going to this terrifying resort!!!! This was a nightmare!

We had a blast! Honestly, it was better than I expected. We swam and played all day and after they closed the water park, they were prepping to have a dance party for the kids. I think thats really cool. All while respecting the COVID guidelines. The only thing, I must mention is that we were being rushed out of the shower rooms by the life guards trying to clean up and one of the guys working there cursed at my Kids saying They better hurry the f*** up.

We visited the hotel with our children this weekend as a mini vacation. I read the reviews prior, and saw many complaints and was hesitant to go. However, I’m glad we didn’t listen to those poor reviews, as it ended up being a great experience, even with all the COVID changes. The only thing I would say I’d change is that the TVs are lower than the beds, and if you are laying down you cannot see the TV. That’s minimal and we really didn’t spent much time watching it, as we were doing activities in the hotel. My daughter LOVED story time and the dance party and our son loved the arcade and Magic Quest. If you are planning on going and want to do the Magic Quest, I recommend doing it earlier in the evening. Once the story time and dance parties start it’s a bit hard to hear what is being said on the quest because it’s gets loud. We also loved Willow. We could text at any time and get an immediate answer/service.If you’re thinking about going-go! But also know that this is a very kid friendly establishment. It’s for families. If you don’t like the idea of kids yelling and running around, this isn’t for you. The water park is amazing, but if you’re looking for an empty water park to have all to yourself, this isn’t for you. Will definitely be back!

I wanted to love this place, I really did. It has all of the components to be incredible, but the staff makes it REALLY hard to enjoy yourself. Constantly berating you about masks, standing on your circle, the prices are THROUGH THE ROOF (spent $1,500 in two days just on drinks and food for a family of 4) and the list goes on. The noise is ridiculous when trying to sleep or get little ones to take a nap. Doors constantly slamming, people above you stomping, etc. Some of the staff such as Raven were sweet, but other than her everyone else were a nightmare. The guys in the “wizard” shop scream at anyone trying to come in the store, if your kid picks something up they huff and puff and roll their eyes and then immediately come spray it down like you have the plague! So many other examples I could list...but just not worth the price or the effort with coronavirus. They need to hire more mature adults to set the example not these millennials that treat adults and kids like trash!

I stayed there with my children a couple weeks ago and we had a great time. My only complaints were there was dirty silverware and a facemask left in the room and no remote. And there was something sticky and gross looking on a large area of the curtain that covers the patio. There were no available seats in the water park but it was still a really fun time for my kids. Because of coronavirus they arent doing the Mario Cart at night. But they still do story time.

Stayed 1 night at Great Wolf Lodge. It’s a very family friendly place. Even if you go as a couple it’s still a lot of fun cause of the water park. The rooms are very pricey but on the other hand, all access to the water park is included. For those that don’t know, you cannot access the water park unless you stay at the lodge. So although it may seem pricey, the water park makes it worth it. The rooms itself are plain-they are no 5 star hotel type rooms but are decent. The lodge itself provides so much!!! Restaurants and lots of activities for kids. You really don’t have to leave the hotel. It’s also in a great location near Kansas City and even the just outside the lodge, there’s shopping outlet and tons of restaurants. I’d recommend staying here, we plan to stay again later in the future.

There were many comments about it from people saying why is it like that. The room was clean and decent. I was disappointed that Sunday of Labor Day Weekend the pool closed at 8pm. That made my older kids unhappy. I just wouldnt have guessed the time closing since it was a holiday weekend.

The staff is very friendly and always acknowledged you when you passed by. We were eating dipping dots and my son spilled some. I went to the restaurant and asked for a broom and dustpan. They came right out and Nicole from the restaurant even asked if she could replace the spilled item! That is going above and beyond. Then Evelyn from the cleaning room saw what was going on and said she would vacuum up the rest. They were all over it and should be recognized by the company.

I was expecting more. The dining packages are over priced and the food is honestly disgusting.I was hoping for a Grand Buffet for breakfast, but instead it is similar to a free continental breakfast. They don’t have the option for personal pan pizzas for kids and only offer a 16” pizza. The water park closes at 8pm and then doesn’t open until 10am...if you have kids, you know that most kids are up and ready to roll at 6am. If you order a dining package which essentially just gives you credit on your bill, it can’t be used for anything other than the restaurants. As far as I’m concerned, money is money, you should be able to use it anywhere in the lodge. I’m assuming it’s their policy because no one would eat here after tasting the food. Not impressed with dining options. The water park and rooms were amazing though and that was the only thing keeping this a 3 star review.Step it up GWL!

They say that’s one of their areas of focus with the pandemic but it had definitely been skipped Then we found a pair of dried/used eye contacts sitting on the air conditioner so it’s obvious that was never cleaned either. Gross! Mobile ordering didn’t work for us as they never got our order and didn’t start making it until we showed up to pick it up at our given time. Definitely a kid friendly park. We got a day pass. My kids were in hog heaven and didnt want to leave. Temperatures were well maintained for comfort. The hot tub sections were closed for the time we went. Lost a star because there is too much emphasis on kids enjoyment and effectively no focus on the parents. The lazy river is uncomfortably shallow and I got my knees and feet scraped up. The slides are fun but last less time then it takes to walk up the stairs to use them. And there is no tide pool like other GWLs weve been to. Plus, as stated the hot tube are closed. So we just had the regular pool that never gets deeper then 4 feet. At least they had some basketball hoops over the pool for us to entertain ourselves and buckets of beer for a reasonable price.

Kids had a great time at the water park which made the stay worth it - but everything else was mediocre. Waterpark 4/5 - very clean but annoyed with how a purple/pink haired lifeguard acted/belittled small children when he was on duty at the toddler pool and same lifeguard did nothing about a group of teenagers spitting loogies from the top of the slides down at patrons below. Rooms 3/5 - hotel is showing its age. Walls/floor/ceiling are paper thin so I would recommend requesting a top floor room if you have light sleepers. Rooms and public areas were clean and staff was attentive. On premise food 3/5 - we only had the breakfast (staff was great) however the food was not great. Will skip next time due to the price.

This was our first visit to Great Wolf Lodge. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and left Sunday around noon. We had a large group with adults and children ranging in age from 1-17 years old. EVERYONE had a wonderful time! This was truly something that all ages can enjoy. I felt the amount of time we spent was perfect. One full day is great, 2 is better. More than that might be a bit much-atleast for us! We did not get any extra add ons. Some of our favorite parts:1. We got a kids cabin room and one regular room. The novelty of the kids cabin themed room with the bunk beds was something that all of the kids enjoyed: even the older ones were excited about the bunk beds. It was so cool!2. The slides were a lot of fun and there were a lot of choices. There are 3 large slides that you ride down on an intertube. The kids area has 2 small kids slides that are fast enough to be pretty fun! There are larger tube slides that you ride down without intertubes.3. There are 2 regular pools. One is indoors and one is outdoors. There are areas for babies that are very shallow both inside and outside.4. We had fun in the lazy river. However, the current isnt very strong.5. The staff are all very kind and helpful!6. There are additional fun things for kids to do. For example, craft packets, story time, dance time, yoga, clock tower story, etc. There is also an arcade. We didnt do all of those things but it was nice to have options.7. My daughter got her first Build a Bear and had a wonderful time! The woman working in the Build a Bear shop is SO kind.8. There are little shops and places to grab food inside. Its also located around lots of surrounding restaurants.9. The facility was very clean. Our family had a great weekend! We’ve brought our toddler here three times so that we can play while my husband works when he’s traveling to Kansas City. Since we get it free through his work, I’ve always been very happy with our stays. However, I would caution others about paying high-season prices for GWL. You may be frustrated by some elements if you spend big bucks to go. The water park particularly is in serious need of an update, but the hotel as a whole would benefit from some refurbishment (the rooms are totally not kid-proofed, which is weird for a kid hotel). A lot of the fountains (particularly in the baby pool) need to have the pressure calibrated, because they spray full-force (which generates tons of overspray—very scary to a toddler) and most little kids won’t go near them. The whole water park feels dated, and a lot of its elements seem like they should have been serviced or replaced years ago. (The cracking, rusting water table/fountain thing in the kids area is a good example. Also, the waterslides overhead are leaky, so they’ll leak big drops of water on you in the lazy river.) However, it’s still a big, fun pool area! We ate on-property the first time we went, and we haven’t done that since. It’s high priced and medium/low quality, but GWL is just down the road from lots of food options at the Legends outlets. We’ve even walked to Legends when the weather’s nice. Bottom line: you can definitely have a good time here, but it’s not worth paying luxury prices. You will be disappointed if you spend loads on a stay during their high season.

We had a great time! Kids ages 12 down to 4 loved the water park. Room was good. The lifeguards are very well trained and aggressively scanning every bit of the water. There are two hot tubs to enjoy- the milder one that kids can play in also and the 18+ only one which was hot and quiet. The adult tub is somewhat secluded which is very nice for relaxing but does not allow for overwatch. One thing to keep in mind is that it is hard to see all of the park so plan ahead and setup meeting points with your kids so they know where to go if they panic and cant find you. We stayed two nights and by the end of the full day in the park my 12 year old was getting bored so I think 3 nights would have been too long. It looks like there might be more to do with mini golf and an outdoor pool that open in warmer weather.Overall a great experience!

I would of gave a 3 star if they weren’t liars! We had a couple problems with their staff begging for food from us. My daughters feet got hand foot and mouth disease. And someone try to come into our room without announcing themselves. And I would of gave them more stars because they said they would send us something in the mail to make up for it and they didn’t, I wanted over a month for this review. And it is definitely due! We won’t go back here Nor will we post any of the awesome photos I got because it wasn’t worth the disrespect!

The kids had a blast at the park and thats what counts. Odd that they never closed down the waterparks to clean it at all. All 3 kids are sick now. All of them got athletes foot as well. Room was clean but had a broken door handle which they didnt fix even though they said maintenance would. I prefer washington gfl better

The kids really loved it here. The waterpark offers something for all ages. Three different sizes of water slides. Two hot tubs with different temps. Etc. Lots of fun activities. But be ready to spend some money! The arcade was really great!! Build a bear was a favorite for the kids! Its showing a little age, but the rooms were great. Make sure and check out different days and seasons to get the best price. Expedia got us ours. Never go full price. Not worth that at all.

Weve been to 2 other Great Wolf Lodges (California, Virginia) and this one is by far the smallest. We were bummed they only had 3 tube rides, no wave pool, no mat racers, and no Flowrider. But it wasnt super busy and we didnt have to wait long in lines. Rooms were clean. Everyone nice. Just wished they offered the rides other GWLs have had.

The price was so incredibly high for the minimal amenities we received. While I understand the price includes the water park, I wouldn’t have paid more than $60/night for the quality of stay. It took several times asking for blankets and pillows to receive anything. The spare pillow was severely deformed and should have been thrown away long ago. Our first room had ants everywhere and while trying to switch rooms, we had a rather rude lady (white, blonde, taller with glasses, we can’t recall her name) who demanded we all come to the front desk to exchange bands immediately so I had to wake my toddler to come down and then another staff member said we didn’t need to do that for the little ones since their band doesn’t have a room key anyway. The initial lady and my wife had a rather loud discussion about it because of how rude she was being and other customers were around watching. I mobile ordered food and they didn’t even see the order until it was suppose to be ready so I ended up waiting over an hour to get 2 mini pizzas. Waiting time for the buffet was also obscene and it took 1 hour 15 minutes for us to check in to the time we finally sat down with food. The food was also of surprisingly poor quality. Everything was cold, dry and tasteless. The line just to check in for seating was past the elevators and the buffet line was equally long which I understood once we finally got in and saw how understaffed it was. The poor couple of people they did have working were so swamped they looked like they didn’t even have time to breathe. We didn’t complain because we didn’t want to make their job any harder.Overall, it was disappointment after disappointment and our money would have been better spent going to a simple comfort inn with a pool. Insanely overpriced and while most of the staff were very kind and helpful, they were obviously over worked and severely under staffed. I will most definitely not be recommending this location to anyone or returning in the future. The only way I’d ever change my mind about this franchise scam if it were free and literally anywhere else. Very disappointing.

Great place to stay and relax, even when there is a tornado warning. This tornado came within a few miles of the great wolf lodge KC. We received a text, email and a phone call saying get to the first floor because a tornado was coming. We waited there for maybe two hours. The staff gave us free food, water, towels and what ever anyone needed to keep them calm while we had to wait. They also kept everyone updated on what was going on. THANK YOU Great Wolf Lodge for keeping us safe.

Staff was overly friendly. Rooms were very clean. So many activities for young children. Little bit over priced (if you go on the weekends) but we went in winter so couldn’t use the outdoor water park. They always have discounts online, we paid $100 for a family of 4 including a night in the hotel, 2 day water passes. Kids had an amazing time, you can also bring in your coolers to your hotelRoom which was very convenient. Seen a guy check into his hotel room at 11am instead of 4pm. So if your room is ready early you can get checked in early (which is super cool) unless you go on a weekend then except to be able to check in around 4pm. Will be going back for my sons 2nd birthday party. Kids 2 and under are free & I didn’t know, I paid for 2 kids and was able to get my nephew in without paying for his wrist band because I already included 2 kids when booking online (my son was a year and a half) so I ended up paying for him when he was to get in free. Didn’t get to try their food, brought our own food in. Over all great experience! I never write reviews and I probably won’t ever again but thank you great Wolf Lodge for the amazing experience ️

Great family getaway! Friendly staff and very clean rooms, restaurants, pool, etc.! The water park has plenty of options to keep all age levels entertained. Our 3 year old twins had a great time on both the small slides they could do on their own and the big slides that we could tube down together! We had a great experience and cant wait to go back again!

If I could give 0 stars I would! Harassed our entire stay because I am medically exempt from wearing a mask. Spent $60 on the breakfast buffet just to be told I can’t stand in line without a mask. Already wasted $600 and planned on doing build a bear and the arcade. NOT HAPPENING. CANCELING THE FUTURE RESERVATIONS WE HAVE AS WELL.
