Took six people cost $177 bucks so not worth it and I ripped my favorite sweater . Total rip-off

Scary fun!

This underrated haunted house is one of my favorites. It really does feel like you are in a horror movie inside, with props from numerous scary films and actors dressed as the most fearsome horror movie characters. I always feel genuinely horrified inside the house. It is definitely a fun one to go to with friends!

Has some awesome set recreations! Dusk till Dawn continues to stick in my mind. Well done, and definitely worth buying VIP to skip the line.

Loved this haunted house last year! Had a bad experience with another house and was allowed to try this one out, THIS was worth the money for sure! My husband and I both loved it and would be going back if we still lived close enough!

I would go again but I got scared out of my mind and I don’t live far away so when I walked home I had a feeling that someone was following me home when I got home glass shattered as I walked in the door I would NOT recommend

Really disappointed in this. Waited in line for over two hours just to finish the haunted house in 20 minutes (we weren’t even moving fast either.) There were only a few jump scares but not really anything terrifying. Also, how can you be a horror movie haunted house and not even have Jason from Friday the 13th in there? Anyways, the disappointment coupled with the fact that the lady in front of us was belligerently drunk and touching everything and the actors and had security following her right in front of us kind of ruined the experience as well. Was the first time we had ever went to one of the famous houses in Kansas City, and unfortunately probably the last. Not worth the $69 dollars I paid.

Amazing, fun, and great time we had. Characters were on point and got us jumping quite a bit. Would definitely recommend.

Very good scary fun! I have been to haunted houses all over the Mid-West and the ones here in KC beat all the rest by far. Definitely worth the price and wait in line. Amazing props, costumes, and workers are respectful awesome characters. The scaring starts before you even enter the house. My familys new October ritual.

I love horror movies and all my favorites were represented. The actors were decent but most relied heavily on jump scares. If you never been, its definitely worth it.

We enjoyed our time! I got spooked a number of time and all the characters stayed in character. The staff was nice! However-the wait time was about 2hrs! We got there right before 8pm and didn’t end up in the haunt until close to 10! I don’t know the difference in cost for VIP, but they truly send VIP through first, no matter how long the regular ticket holder was there, so if you want to get through faster probably the route to go! We weren’t too bothered by waiting-but some people definitely were!

The haunt is great. Not as great as beast or edge of hell, but still good. We had already bought our tickets and were standing in the long line and one of the characters suggested we upgrade to VIP for $10 per ticket. All we had to do was stand in what was a much shorter line and upgrade our tickets at the ticket booth. Made sense in order to save time. However, the ticket booth line, even though it was far shorter took far longer to get through that by the time we got our VIP upgrade, it took the same amount of time as it did if we just stayed where we were. No time was saved and we spent more money. With only 1 person at the ticket booth, it was ridiculous. Dont upgrade to VIP after you have already bought a regular ticket. Buy the VIP with your ticket. Dont listen to the characters advice.

The characters didnt do a good job scaring us we couldnt get lost waited in line for a hour an a half to get through in 35 minutes. My daughters first expericence and she said it wasnt worth or what she imagined or thought it would be. We had a better time waiting in line. But the 2-1 coupon saved the day cause i would of been bitchin and been wanting my money back. Should of went 2 the beast or edge of hell.

There were several reasons I gave 3 stars.1. We bought VIP tickets and we were able to jump the line in other waiting behind but we were out behind others waiting in same line. We waited in that line for 20-30 mins. I paid extra to not be in a long line.2. The part I hated the most was our group of 4 caught up with a group of 6+ teens in the butcher room. Then 2 other groups came. So there is 10-15 people all in this room wanting to pass. Once we did. We all went together. This doesnt make it fun/scary for us when we are all together. The teens were so scared they kept running into everyone else and pushing others around them. Due to this, this haunted house was not enjoyable for us. There should be plans in place for when large groups catch up with each other. Like having the actors hold them back in some way but allow others through.Otherwise than that, it wasnt horrible just not enjoyable for us personally.

Love all the movie stuff wish I could get a hug from people though. I would love to hug Jason or the a nun while we praise the Lord. But it was great

YES!My wife & I went to all 3 this past weekend & Macabre Cinema is GREAT. The set design/ find your way out aspects are really good, and with this one the actors are TOP NOTCH. Creepy/ scary/ interactive & a lot of fun.So if youre only doing 1, skip the beast.

Hands down the coolest place to take family for the fall. The staff is respectful and very fun. Can’t wait to go back!

Best haunted interactive house i ever been in. There is no comparison. I literally felt like i was on a hollywood movie set. Phenomenal.

Dusty but good time

I’ve been to every single haunted house downtown and MACABRE is definitely the best! Was by far the most scary haunted house they have. If I had to rate them 1-4 Macabre is #1 The edge of hell is #2 The beast is #3 and Chamber of Poe was horrible so #4.

Too many stairs. Not enough actors. It was a cool place. But I didnt get scared, and was out of breath from all the stairs....but Id go again

Good scares but we werent well spaced out from the people in front of or behind us. We had to let people pass or just stand and wait several times in order not to be in a group of people we didnt know.

Good line was a bit long and not as scary with a big crowd be better in smaller groups but it was neat to see

Honestly a waste of money. And maybe haunted houses just arent my thing. Its all jump scares and loud noise scares. Nothing really creative or scary. Maybe if you go alone, but in a group, nothing was scary. Maybe I couldve done a better job of buying in to the acts, but still, for 27 bucks, I was expecting more.

This was one of the best haunted houses Ive been in. The actors were fun to interact with and did a great job of spooking the guests. The lines are always too long but not tonight. It was Halloween night so guess thats the night to go as long as not the weekend.

So so good. We were in there for 67 minutes!!! We will return next year!

It was so fun! I jumped and screamed so many times in the best possible way. The scarers had great costuming and makeup and completely stayed in character.

Excellent cast and crew. The haunt was a collection of a variety of fears (characters and situations). Great time throughout!

I have both been through and volunteered here and absolutely loved it!! Its like walking through the best (or worst lol) scene of every horror movie. Like youre actually involved in the movie! The actors really like to mess with your head to scare you. ITS SO MUCH FUN! When I was working it I had a blast too. Its like a big family of fun loving people. I couldnt wait for the next group to come through my room so I could scare them.**One thing though, you really should turn off your cell phone so you and every one else can enjoy it more.Hope you love it as much as my friends and I did!!!

It was better last year... they let too many people through at a time, so the scares were already happening, which took away from the experience.

This haunted house experience was definitely a fun one, but I wouldnt say fun for the whole family, to borrow the colloquialism. I went to 3 total in one night, and this one felt a little different from the others, which was a welcome variety. Lots of scary images, figures, slanted hallways, stairs, and things... ya know, normal haunted house stuff.

I was mainly taking my wife and 2 kids to scare the poop out of them but they also got me good too it was awesome

Every thing about it was mediocre! You could tell people that worked there didnt care for scaring the costumes! And there were some spots where stuff didnt even work so it made the hole thing boring to go through!! Dont waste your money!! Stay away from this one!!!!

After visting both the beast and edge of hell this year, I found this attaction extremely lacking. There were SOME good scenes and it got a little better once you reached the point where they space you out. Unfortunately, I would not refer anyone else to visit this attraction for the remainder of the season. Even though it was sub par, it holds a lot of potential for the future.

Last weekend I went to the beast and edge of hell the edge was awesome but the beast was HORRIBLE...... But the cinema was by far the best and worth every dollar I felt like I took a spin class I was so scared..the props are AMAZING
