Do not park your truck or trailer here unattended. 2 times things have been stolen, this time the tag off the truck. What a damn shame!!!
We love to picnic here. No tables here but you can sit in your car or on the grass. The city collects the trash regularly and maintains the landscaping. There is a bridge across the water and a farmers market within walking distance. Usually not crowded and very peaceful break.
I like the fact that it has a playground for kids also you can drop your boat into the water and relax and sightsee I noticed the park is very clean I havent seen any restrooms anywhere but its just perfect to bring your family and relax and take lots of photos for memories.
Love it. Its so peaceful. And my little dog loves it.
Peaceful serenity, and good place to get away from the busy city for the time begin!
This is our local spot & we LOVE it. It is def. Like home. (:
Love the peaceful atmosphere. Kids love the playground
Parking a lil tight but good ramp..
The densmore boat ramp in and of itself is nice.one MAJOR thing however most people dont know I found out the hard way from a game patrol is it that entire Creek all the way out to the 295 bridge is a no wake zone due to manatee. So if you actually want to be legal it will take you an hour of just putting to get somewhere to where you can power up and have fun. if you dont care its about a ten-minute ride at 20 to 30 miles per hour on your boat to the trout River there are few turns that are tight but after the first two or three turns it opens up some but according to the game patrol its still not wide enough to plain up.if you have a tiny little boat or canoe and youre just looking for a shady spot to go fishing away from the dock its a good Creek. It is not a good place to swim there are high levels of bacteria in the water. We used to call it poop Creek because at the headwaters of the creek is nothing but old cow fields and when it stormed really bad you used to watch cow patties float back out to sea as the tide went out but it hasnt done that in a long time. And as most things have on the Northside of Jacksonville the neighborhood sure isnt as nice as it used to be.theres no way personally I would leave my truck hooked up to my trailer for any real length of time while I was out boating in that area especially if it looks shiney and new.even as far back as 12 years ago I caught people looking in the windows of my beat up old truck as I came back in on my jet ski.Its only gone downhill from there. The play Park is nicer the ramp itself is nice the parking is nice its just a Northside neighborhood aka typical Jacksonville.
Wasnt at the actual boat ramp but at the produce stand that sits just outside the gate to the boat ramp & backs up to dunns creek.. As we were servicing the property as well as the old dinsmore feed stores lot thats now being rented by the owners of the produce stand!!!!
Boat ramp needs some work along with the road. Needs more trash cans
