Normally this place is very efficient, very professional, and quite possibly the best place to play airsoft in Jacksonville. I want to express that from a neutral standpoint, this place is definitely top notch in its quality of experience.THAT BEING SAID... The last 3 weeks the quality of the management has dropped immensely. To elaborate, it’s very frustrating to watch your staff sitting at the front counter on their phones while there’s one person reffing the game. This ONE person is merely there to manage the game time. Meanwhile you’ve had people playing without integrity (not calling hits), and players slipping on their full auto to lay into someone. You’ve also had a very select few or the new players blindfire, which is exclusively in the safety briefing as prohibited. All in all, the biggest problem with this place as of late is the lack of care in officiating. I understand that it’s an environment that you can’t necessarily expect to control, but how could you when you have one young kid and no other support from your manager and your team staff?I’m stating these experiences not to “bad mouth” the ownership or the people hired. But if you’re going to market your business with the intention of being “family friendly” then uphold a standard of safety in your rules you preach before you get to a point where someone takes it into their own hands.Again, I think if you’re looking for an experience in the sport this is still the best place to go, but something needs to change in the officiating because it’s not fair to have one guy run the field and let a few bad apples play the game “their” way.All experiences aside, the owner is a very honest and fair individual with everyone there. He’s made a lot of us newcomers feel like we can enjoy being there. It’s nothing personal with anyone in their business, it’s merely making the public aware that there is a tendency for some to play it unsafe, unsupervised, and somewhat immoral.

Very fun. Went there today for my first time with my dad and got lit up like a Christmas tree. Regardless it was quick service and I had tons of fun. Five stars would recommend.

Took my employees and their families here for a Christmas Party / Team Building experience. We had such a great time! The party room was all set up for us with all the equipment necessary. The staff was super helpful with all our requests and constantly checked on us to be sure we had everything we needed. Chris, the owner, was super nice and very helpful. We had kids starting at 7 years old up to “over 50” year old adults and EVERYONE had a wonderful time. We played a couple of times with just our group but we had a blast playing with the regulars also. It was a wonderful experience and several of my employees want to make it a regular outing. Thank you very much to Chris and all the great staff members at Battalion Airsoft!

Big fun staff and owner were really nice as well as everyone playing was super friendly no matter skill level or age would recommend for players of all skill levels you will enjoy it just be able to take hits and dont cheat.

If I had one thing to say about this place it is that the employees are very unprofessional, avoid this place until some much needed personnel change happens or the integrity of the referees significantly increases. I hate to say this because the owner, Chris, is a very nice person and I believe if he has witnessed how his employees were acting the situation would have been much different but he wasn’t and his employees acted unruly and completely unprofessional. From the start of the day one employee specifically (Coleman) clearly had it out for me and attempted to taunt me the entire day. He bent the rules for his friends allowing them to cheat the entire day, while attempting to catch me cheat (which I didn’t) all day. Coleman approached me after the first game speaking down to me in a very condescending attitude about breaking the full auto rule and not calling hits. I explained to him this was unintentional and due to an issue with a new gun I was using (which I fixed after that round with some duct tape) and the chest rig I had on (which I took off just so I would be able to feel the shots better so that I could play fairly). I came just there to have fun and to play by the rules, I wouldn’t even shoot players in the back when I could have, I instead would rest a hand on their shoulder out of curtsey to them. But this was not enough for him, he and his ‘friends’ sat reviewing footage after every game trying to find and instance in which I “didn’t call my hit”. They were only able to find one instance in which I didn’t not call a hit which was completely unintentional on my part and I admitted fault. But with this new found footage Coleman walked over to me with a smug look on his face say “You didn’t call you hit”, this was done just to antagonize me. I won’t even bother bring up how bad the refereeing was because that was minuscule when it comes to how the employees treat players. As I was exiting one of the three employees used profane language referring to me as a “bitch”. I wish this would have gone differently; this place used to be so much fun but now is unfortunately plagued by referees who think that it’s their playground to allow their friends to cheat while being rude to other players.

I give this place a 4 and a half because it’s a great place arena is fun my only problem is the staff can be a little short tempered but most of them are nice overall would recommend

There are times where I’m really happy I play here. There are also times where I feel like this field is poorly run and managed. Many of the refs tend to be power hungry teenagers who only care about being in charge. When I first started playing the sport I had made a comment to the referee about one of their seemingly regular players cheating mid match, I was removed from the game for disturbing the flow. The cheater had shot me 3 times at point blank range drawing blood on 2 of the hits and actually lodging the bb into my skin on the third. I enjoy the field and the people who play there. My friends and I generally have a blast when we go play an event.There does need to be a serious reform on on some portions of the business. The “pro shop” sells at best mid tier guns for an exceptionally marked up price.Cheating generally goes unnoticed unless seen directly by a referee. Lastly, the regular players who are friends with the refs outside of the sport can and will get away with much more than other players.It’s a shame when something like the last scenario happens, because it ruins the experience for everyone else. Especially when there’s a tournament with real prizes. Putting 5 new people with rental guns against 7 semi-professionals with Gas powered guns is not a fair fight, and it nearly drove me away from the sport entirely when that happened to me.I’m sorry for letting my personal experiences get in the way of an objective review, but I hope you think about this before you let your kids or family members play at this field.

I love the techs at Battalion. They have helped me from the biggest upgrades to the smallest attachments. They are always professional and kind. They treat you like family and give you any information or advice you could want. Now on the other hand, the refs are horrific! Well most of them. There are a select few refs that will take things seriously if brought to their attention! There is a female that rarely refs but when she does, 100% professional and fair. Sadly i havent been back in over seven months do to the bad refs and their cheating friends. There is a pair of players that wear green jumpsuits that cheat like no tomorrow! They overshoot everyone and never call their hits. Nothing ever happens to them because they are friends with the bad refs that allow such cheating. I am praying and hoping that things are better come this fall when I attempt to return. If they are, Ill upgrade to more stars!

Owner, manager and staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time and let you know your patronage is very much appreciated.

Good arena but mediocre staff, the food bar is slow a all get out, took 1 hour to get my 1 order of food and they weren’t even backed up, the arena is good tho and the ready room is a good feature.

Overall its pretty nice, good field and really nice lounge area. At times though it was unbearable though. It gets SOOO Hot in there just stifling. My one buddy actually got heat exhaustion after 4 games. I was able to play two or three rounds and have to go sit in the lounge for an hour just to cool down because I would be spinning from the insane heat and humidity. Put it this way it was 94 degrees outside that day and going outside into the sun was actually cooler than what it was inside. I noticed they had several industrial fans all around but only saw a total of three of them on. Dont know if theyre trying to cut cost on electricity or they dont work but if they got that under control this place would be absolutely great and amazing to go play. But the fact that you are so miserable and you have to miss out on rounds just trying to get your body temperature back to normal. Decent pro shop and not to many super rambo tryhards out there. So thats nice that there not out there ruining the games. I would give it five stars if they can get the temperature under control. Its sad that I wanna go play but due to how hot and miserable it gets I dont. I just wait until the weekend for outdoor fields to open. I would like to go through the week if only they get there temperature under control. PLEASE FIX THAT ALL PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT IS THAT. YOUR SALES WILL GET BETTER IF YOU FIX THE TEMP

Nice pro shop, reasonable prices, very kind and friendly owner, really cares about the field and the players. Played essentially three different versions of king of the hill all day. Map not very well set up for any creative play. Watched the same two players blatantly cheat respawns all day. Very hot FPS limits and no fire distance means bleeding is gonna be pretty regular. Absolute speedsoft haven. All games are semi only but no control on feather triggers means every game is essentially full auto. If youve watched No full auto in the building you get the idea. Solid store that I recommend but field isnt for me.

This field is awesome and most of the staff are great, but one of the employees in particular named Kohl or Kohlmon or something like that has been harassing me and my son. Whenever there was a minor problem on the field, instead of handling the issue professionally, this referee would imply my son and his friends were going out of their way to cheat and threaten to ban us. When we tried to go back in and play he was constantly nit picking us after every small thing. These are just some of the countless issues i’ve had with this employee. Despite this the rest of the field is awesome, all the staff are super friendly and the Bathrooms are clean. The only thing that prompted me to write this was reading similar complaints on the same referee. I would highly recommend this field to any new player and hopefully the issue gets dealt with.

BAA is awesome! My son (13) took me there a couple of months ago. I didn’t play that day, but I was extremely comfortable with the environment and leaving him there to play. Since, we have been there several times and have loved the games. So much that we invested into equipment and are ready to hunt.I highly recommend BAA and all skill sets are welcomed. You’ll love BAA and the staff. They do a great job.

I always love playing and eating there other than being a little hot the food and fun is worth it. Wonderful staff and all the people there are nice and calm, its just a great place to hang out with friends and meet new people.

Great place great staff no bar but youll take shots all day thats for sure

First time going and wont be back. The place is very disorganized. If you pay for an event you will be treated like everyone else there even though you are paying hundreds more for that event. The referees are teenagers on a power trip who favor their friends and will throw new players out for the smallest infraction then stand around and laugh about how they threw you out with their friends. Sometimes the employees will join a game. When they do they cheat with impunity. The boundaries of the spawn points are not clearly marked so you get in trouble for crossing lines that arent clearly marked. There are yellow lines literally everywhere on the field, which is the yellow you cant cross?. The OWNER is pretty rude if you make any suggestions or complaints he doesnt like and will try to justify his staff behavior no matter how wrong it is. If they make a mistake, dont expect an apology, expect excuses and to be asked to leave.

This place has a great arena. There are only small things I dont like and that would be the fact that ADULTS complain more than the kids do. If you dont want to be shot point blank then where something to protect your skin. Also the place is not big enough for the amount of business they get on Saturdays, way too crowded. Friday and Sunday are awesome, mostly good players and competent refs. FOR ANY NEW PLAYERS reading this, it takes experience to be good at the game, dont give up after your first time not shooting everyone every time, and if it hurt a lot wear more next time. Most of us battle hardened BB warriors accept new players and are happy to answer questions about the game and might just give you some good tips.

My son enjoys this place immensely. It has a shop, a range a snack bar, a loading area, and a great contest floor. Fun to watch while I wait for him, the staff are helpful and friendly.

Seems to be run professionally. We were from out of town and I had no idea what this was about. It was my sons birthday and he wanted to try it out with a couple of friends. The attendant was great. He explained everything, let us look around and try it out first. He didnt try to oversell or upsell us bbs we wouldnt use. I cant tell you how much that meant to a very nervous mom.

When I first came here I loved it. But as of late. They raised prices by way to much, as everything was already overpriced. And they have nothing to show for it. No new features. No updates. The playing course is worse than when I started. Yet I pay 20 bucks everytime I come, and the course is....mediocre at best. They do not take criticism kindly nor complaints of anger kinda, as Ive made some before and I literally got the answer thats how it is from the OWNER. Cant wait to see a new indoor pop up one day.

Christian owned facility who promote good clean fun. Great place for boy to be boys. There is a shop to purchase top of the line airsoft guns & accessories. There is a food cafe & lounge with Tvs, Playstations, couches, tables & chairs to rest when in between matches!

I took my son there this weekend and he had fun. Its good exercise for him as well.it is also a good family environment and there is an area to get some food or just relax and watch tv while the kids play. Overall a good all around experience and now we are planning a birthday party there next week. If you need to rent equipment its available as well.

My son and husband had a blast. The owner is very polite and attentive man, he took the time to explain everything we had doubts from the video.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Battalion Airsoft and its owner, Chris Webster. Our kids have been playing at Battalion Airsoft for the past five years. Weve held several birthday parties there, and theyve attended many of their fun events. Mr. Webster genuinely cares about all the people that play there, and their safety is paramount. Although my kids (now young adults) have gotten their fair share of bb marks, and a few drops of blood have been lost (especially when one of your boys goes all out), it is part of the game. But I can say, I have NEVER worried about their safety. Mr. Webster offers a great place for people to enjoy the game. There is also a downstairs area where people can relax in-between games and grab some food. Ive seen many parents over the years hang out, read a book, bring their computer and do some work, all while their kids are upstairs having a blast.

This place is epic! The field is amazing, prices are reasonable and the staff is perfect. The patrons can be a bit rowdy but thats what makes this place fun.Just remember, Go hard or go home!

Staff is incredibly rude and did not do anything to help with problems on or off the field and the field was honestly the worst one in Florida.not to mention it is incredibly expensive especially if you run hpa. There are much better fields go to them.

Very cool Place

This was my first time playing airsoft. First few games were great, but it wasnt long before the new referee started abusing his power. Giving out excessive punishment to people who made minor mistakes. My friend who brought me had a cqc match with another player back an forth but they ended with both shooting each other out. Both players fist bumped an went back to respawn. But the referee kicked out my friend for 3 matches because he believed he got shot earlier in that engagement. Then another incident was a little kid fired his gun to check his weapon before the game started at the respawn point. But this new referee made a rule change of no shooting before the match starts But instead of rebuking this child he instead kicked him out for 3 matches instead. Aside from the referee great staff. All an all good at first but be sure to bring something to entertain yourself during the 3 matches you wont be playing.

My son love going up there.but on sunday its supposed too be cheaper if you get there before 12:00 noon. I was 1:00 min late and i was behide someone.so i was there at 12:00noon. this was today at 1/19/20 and some people are complaining about paying 20.00 dollars.and girl charge me almost 27.00 dollars and they close at 6:00pm they Basically almost charge me Triple.that ok we wont go up there on sunday no more i dont care if only 10:00 dollars.so she stuck it too me too on a sunday.thanks for makeing my sunday worse.

Great arena with 8/10 food with a lounge area, shop, and cool feild, mostly cool staff except they favor the regulars a little more.

What a good time. Its a great value because you can play all day for one price. Go downstairs to cool down, get some food and drinks, ping ping, foosball and a couple Xboxes. Then head back up to go to war again. Great for young and old. The staff was very pleasent and helpful. A must go for the family or guys afternoon out...or girls.

They dont enforce the rules the way theyre supposed to & a regular who also happened to be a grown adult shot my son in close range enough to leave a scar on his arm (VERY close contact, almost touching him with the weapon) I dont like how it becomes unsafe & its avoidable if they did a better job enforcing the rules on EVERYONE, especially the regulars. They know better (so should ANY adult when playing with teenagers & kids) it becomes unnecessary roughness.

First off its a great place. No matter what game you want to play the staff let players vote and explain it thoroughly. And after a game you can go downstairs and get a cold drink and relax.I’ve been playing for 4ish years now and they don’t disappoint. I’ve bought most of my guns and gear there at there pro shop which has lots of guns, magazines, batteries and gear. Wouldn’t bring anyone under the age of 10 though because the sting might be to much for them, but that’s for every field. The people who work there show Great respect to anyone who comes first timers or people who’ve played for years.

Good place if your child has friends to bring along for team play. Not so great for the solo player.

The biggest problem, are the regulars! Jacksonville airsoft scene is Toxic. Wannabe pros who think its funny to run hot guns (over 400fps) in confined CQB spaces. Staff does very little to prevent that. I have been here many times, and have not once been officially chronoed in, EVER!! My gun is sub 400fps. Enforce the rules! Toxic players and lazy staffing if the problem here.... We will be taking our weekends elsewhere.

Great staff, great facility, great food. They keep the game play fair by keeping the teams balanced and enforce the rules. Pro shop has all the toys your wife will never know you bought.

I love this place. Went last week for the first time and had a blast. Now Im addicted and have invest in hundreds worth of gear and bought a gun as well. Very great staff. These people take care of you!

This place is amazing, out of all the times Ive gone Ive ran into one cheater but, they show no mercy when they see them cheat. The staff are amazing most of them play and know alot. But besides the one cheater the only problem I had this place is fun I recommend anyone looking to get into the sport to come here its so fun and if your looking for a starter kit go there theyll answer all your questions there very helpful thanks Chris!

They get worse everytime. Last ref I asked a question to said “I don’t know much about airsoft.” And they let cheaters play basically all day so people with integrity have little fun.

Got shot and shot other. Pretty fun experience. Also had won a hat signed by the president of G&G.

Real fun place to pass time with your kid and do exercises, the staff and owner are very nice and professionals ready to help and make you have a great experience.

It is extremely hot, not good for the older crowd. The rules are not enforced, the usual ones dont go by the rules and the cheat extremely bad. I did like the staff they nice & friendly.

Used to play here when I was younger. Recently came back and was not disappointed! Only thing is the rentals can get very pricey. Definitely better to nring your own airsoft guns.

Visited for the first time last week.Met at the desk by staff and explained it was mine and my sons first time at an airsoft facility. Team members were very pleasant and helpful, in addition the owner Chris was there and introduced himself and spoke about the operation which was nice.Staff members were good though out the day and helped my son fix an issue with his rental gun that got jammed up a couple of times.Even the young kids there and regulars were very nice and respectful to me and my son as we were playing for the first time. They obviously were trying to shoot us, but also offered advice and checked on us between games.We will be back to this excellent venue.

This Airsoft Arena is amazing. Staff are amazing, food looks great (havent tried it) and the experience of the Airsoft is great. Lots of people come here and its very busy, so you wont get bored. But when it gets busy, the staff are a bit more focused on getting what they need to do done, so they wont really be as nice. There store is great, lots of guns and gear. Just wish they have a bit more as they did not have my magazine. All together, really great place. 5/5

Good place. Friendly stuff. One thing that sucks is that theres no air conditioning in the arena. Its unbearably hot in there.

Incredible experience, incredible rates, amazing staff, its great for family fun and its also great for those people who like to play speedball at a professional level. All around amazing experience.

Me and a group of friends went to Battalion for a guys day, we had a blast, played all day from about 10 to 4, during the time there one of our guns stopped working and within seconds it was replaced and we continued on, great staff and great place for a casual day of playing airsoft or a party for your kids!

First time playing CQB with a squad of 7 and it was good experience transitioning from outdoors. The staff was very friendly and very strict about security. My issue is with this place they rarely chrono guns and they have this sense of security that doesnt transmit to the field. I had 9 shots bleeding out and a 400 fps guns wouldnt do that. They only chrono the hpa guns once and afterwards they can change their FPS very easily. A few of us requested to have them chrono again, even told the manager and they didnt do nothing. There is no control over this issue at this place. Only one ref for so many people and he was in phone looking at Instagram most of the games. Theyre control freaks about security but this place fails at easiest part. I dont think we are going to return any time soon. Maybe only to upgrade our guns and thats it.

Very fun! Great and friendly players, funny and helpful employees, and a fun arena. It does get hot in the arena so bring lots of water. They do have a restaurant to get food and have a store to buy gear (very helpful, but pricey). It was my first time playing airsoft and I loved it, will recommend to others!

So much fun for adults and kids alike!

Really fun place!!!! BUT it lacks in training, knowledge, and safety. Expect to see very young children with accurate replicas of weapons running around shooting with absolutely zero knowledge for safety. Expect to be shot point blank by people who are on your team because they have no clue how to treat a weapon. I absolutely love the idea but mandatory training should be implemented.

So walk into battalion and immediately welcomed by the staff who are very helpful. Lots of game styles going on. Family friendly atmosphere and a great work out opportunity.

First cqb style arena Ive been to. Unbelievably bad staff. Guns dont get chronoed. No reinforcement of rules. No engagement minimums. A lot of the players will flash you with a flashlight to disorient you also because of the flash you dont know if you hit them. Lots of buddy buddy from the players to the staff one player even grabbed a ref for cover and had him escort him around the field. Horrible experience will not be returning. Please go to any other field for your first experience.

The place is alright and has good deals. However, the refs either dont care or pay attention to cheaters, they dont chronograph guns that definitely need to be, and they dont let you use the bang bang rule to avoid injury. They overcharge food and if you bring outside food in, youre bound to be told to leave. There is one guy here with long grey hair and a beard who will pull people out of matches even if you have full seal goggles. The first time you wont notice this stuff as much, but you definitely see it the second. Ive also seen staff get annoyed at people for asking questions or asking to look at something specific in the store. Only reason Id go back is if I have no other options.

Ive played airsoft for years, never have I run a field with so many bad wounds in one day. Multiple open wounds on multiple people, bbs lodged in two different peoples face. Why?Because the owner and reps allowed their regulars to run hot guns shooting over the max 400 fps limit. I will not be returning to this field which allows regulars to break the rules.

8/10 Pretty ok place, but they had Halo 4 so its even better

Wear boots or shoes with good, deep, tread. Floors get slippery after building heats up. Fair prices to play. MUCH improved milsim nights. Shoot an extra round or two some people dont feel hits.
