An absolute rough gem of a trial to experience near the KCMO area! Look to go especially around the fall with changing foliage colors but be wary that the trails arent well marked and obscured by said foliage

Parts easy parts are really hilly, the hilly areas are hard to stay on trail

STINGING NETTLES!! Upper elevation portion of trail was very overgrown. Lower elevation portion of trail down by train tracks was inundated with stinging nettles. It was so bad that we made our way down to the train tracks to avoid going through plant after plant after plant after plant. No real scenic views to speak of, even by the limestone outcroppings. Pants are a must!

Great place to hike! It is very natural in its composition, so be sure to use the All Trails app when certain areas are hard to follow. Its varied elevation creates a sometimes rigorous trail perfect for those wanting a good exercise.

East trail could be nice but it was overgrown and the trails are not clearly marked...the west trail as amazing! I little basic at first but once you start heading down the bluff it gets fun. Alot of fallen trees though.

There were several trees that had fallen over the path. There is nowhere to park at the trailhead, and the signs do not mark the opening very well. The trailhead was very muddy and did not look like it had seen much traffic.

Because it was dense and all natural. Wonderful if you like spiders. Didnt hike the full trail due to being wet but hoping to see how it comes out at the Missouri River this Winter.

Very peaceful. Trails only took 30 mins. So if youre looking for a small hike surrounding by beauty this is a great place.

First 1000 feet are fine and nice but after that prepare to blaze the trail yourself.

Great trail to hike or ride bikes, dirtbikes on. Trail is cleared semi regularly, great views of the Missouri River valley from the top of the trail. Pretty sure you can camp here as well. Overall recommended place to camp

Ill have to go back when its not quite as muddy. Lots of potential slip and fall areas if its wet. Plus, lots of trees and debris across trail. Very lush and green, though.

Used to hike this trail 20+ years ago and decided to check it out a few years ago, it was overgrown and a disappointment. Went back November 2017 and what a difference. Such a beautiful trail. It has a few fallen trees across the trail but they are easily navigated. Part of the trail has a difficult rating with steep hills and a dry creek bed that can make following the trail difficult. There is a stretch that goes along railroad tracks but the bluffs more than make up for the noise of the occasional trains. Be careful if you climb the rocks as they can be slick. Great walk.

Nice hike with a good variety of views. Trail needs to be marked better as was hard to identify with all of the leaves on it.

Overgrown, not marked, a typical Kansas city, build it, but dont maintain it. But it has good elevation changes and challenging terrain.
