Came to pay property taxes. Well organized for social distancing. Wait was long but not horrific. Staff was friendly.

Great place to visit even if there are some characters hanging around.

Asking for proof of vehicle registration for the last 3 years is ridiculous. New to the state from KS. Way over the top.

You can you can get your taxes personal property that is on cars very easy here the courthouse itself is very stately from the outside and the parking is it usually within walking distance. Everyone is very helpful there. Thank you

I like the historic of it theres still a couple things there like paying your property tax or marriage licenses and stuff like that everything else is at the city hall now and I think its great that they keep the building open for if he thinks were on our beautiful is situated in the middle of town

When you have to pay taxes how great can it be?

The people are nice and that means a lot. The office is so freaking old they always have downed computers, long waits and the people taking names are inexperienced and sloppy. Go to Lee Summit for personal property issues!

Excellent view of the courthouse that was built in 1826 and President Truman used to walk up and down the streets while he was a litigator. Here in Lawrence Kansas!

Interesting, historic old courthouse with excellent, informative info and materials from period-costumed gentleman. Really takes you back in a realistic way.

I like the way the run the taxes and assessments part. They are organized and fast.

Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Got my business taken care of in a timely manner.

No one answers the phone

Tried to be a tax paying citizen, brought my previous year tax info from my last county i lived in and was informed by the front desk lady with one hell of an attitude that the clay county acessor was incorrect about me needing to bring nothing else but the previous years tax and car info. I told her my ex wife has the car and i have no info on it and she informed me if i didnt have the renewal or title then there was absolutely nothing she was going to do for me it was her bosses rules and i could be more than welcomed to try to visit the other location down town.

The wait time for something as simple as a tax waiver was far too long. Only one window operating at a time when there was close to 20 people waiting.

Nice historic building but they defiantly need to find a way to speed up the tax paying b.s.

Great place to go wait in line and pay your taxes

Restored in 2013. This building now houses Jackson County records, collections, and assessment departments. This is also the location for the business personal property office of Jackson County. The Jackson County Historical Society also has an office in this building. You can enter and are free to walk around and look, as its a public building.

Went to pay my property tax. Was in and out in like 10 min. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If paying taxes can be pleasant they made it so.

People can be very rude over using their power as much as i do abide the laws, they make it bad to even think about joining the team bad judges also favored criminals who use elderly or abuse them.
