Fun stories and great staff. The ghost theme adds to the experience. This is a very small distillery tucked in an industrial park right off the interstate. Our tour guide who doubles as a labeler did a great job with her bourbon knowledge and the history of the brand. They are just now getting there own aged bourbon distillate into bottle with a five year age statement. Their special releases are noteworthy.

We stopped by because it was nicely located on our way from central Kentucky bourbon country back to Ohio. Excellent tour but they have yet to release their own bourbon. They weave an intriguing tale about the ghosts of Boone county distillers. It will be interesting to see what their bourbon actually tastes like when it’s released. They must be confident because they are expanding their facility.

Had a great tour guide and tasting experience here! Cant wait to see the new tasting room once the expansion work is complete. It was really interesting to learn the history behind everything and the significance of the 8. Seeing the rickhouse was pretty cool too. The tasting included a nice variety and you get to keep your glass as an added bonus. The prices in the gift shop are really reasonable. Id definitely come back again.

We stopped here on our way back from a trip to southern KY. It’s set back in an industrial park but the atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. Staff remained completely pleasant when I observed them confronted by a whiny visitor who didn’t want his ID checked and had a tantrum about it. I’m glad they’re following guidelines to keep us safe and follow the law. We will be back! (And I really enjoyed the rye, bourbon, and bourbon cream.)

Ive only been to one other distillery (Makers Mark) and really enjoyed the small, new craft angle. Good history and presentation on the tour. The Tomahawk drink was phenomenal. I absolutely love the idea of seasonal gins and would totally buy them if closer (we live in MN). I do wish there was more merchandise and bigger sizes like 2XL as I would have bought one the other day. Any possibility of a monthly club where you pay by the month and a new liquor is sent monthly to try? Maybe in a .5 liter size?

Decided to try something new on our way into Louisville. Very glad we did. This was such a nice distillery & an enjoyable tour. Tour is $7.55/ person. A really reasonable price considering many distilleries are charging over $20 now... so I appreciated that! Our tour guide, Anthony, was super nice & friendly. We were the only ones on the tour so it was personal and a totally different experience than other tours weve done in the past. Their 12 yr bourbon is exceptional. Very small newer distillery, but definitely worth checking out. Look forward to trying new Bourbons from them in the future.

We visited 9/28/19, And took the tour with Mike as our guide. It was one of the best tours I’ve been on. Mike explained about the history of the distillery and the founders, and of course how their product is made. The barrel-house was the tour highlight for me, seeing all of their product maturing in the barrels. The tasting was amazing, I’m still feeling the heat of Tanner’s curse, but it was all worth it for the Bourbon Cream. We bought a bottle of Bourbon Cream and of their Gin.Highly recommended!

Amazing place with interesting history. We went there without any prior research, and took a $5 tour. I can honestly say that it was one of the best and most private tours I got in my life. Dennis was amazing. He took his time, and he most definitely knows his stuff. Also, you can buy a section of a used bourbon barrel for $5 (probably subject to availability though.) The 10-year old bourbon that they make is one of the best bourbons that I tasted (and I tasted quite a few:)PS the first tour starts at 1230 hrs, so dont rush there in the morning)

After doing many tours, Ive found the craft tours to be the most enjoyable and this was no exception. The guide was very friendly and informative. The tour covers the distilling process very well, which is not always typical in a craft distillery. Very excited to see what else comes from this place as it grows. Hoping to see them add a vodka since they are doing gin. My only suggestion is that during the tasting, dont start off with the rye new make.

The tour guide was incredibly kind and interesting with plenty of great stories to share. The level of detail shared with us about the process was impressive, we learned a ton about all the process and nuance that goes into every bottle of bourbon. We could tell that everyone working there was happy to be there which made the whole experience even better. Plus, the products were all excellent and I bought several. I believe I have just found my new favorite bourbon. Even learned how to drink strong liquor without making “the face” so that was a nice plus. We will be bringing visitors back, for sure.

My wife and I planned to go on this tour after visiting another distillery. On the way to Boone County I called in to ask if we could join the tour late since our previous one went long. Upon arrival, we were met with rude staff who were pretentious and made almost no effort to make us feel welcome. Boone County bourbon is great bourbon, but I would not recommend visiting the distillery. It felt more like a commercial operation and prices were high.It should be noted that we had already paid the full price for the tour and did not expect any accommodation for arriving late, but friendly staff and professionalism go a long way.

Up and coming new bourbon, they are trying to do it the right way. Fun tour, up close and personal. Had a great day walking through their Rickhouse tasting the air on a warming day from their barrels. Excited to taste the bourbon when it’s ready of age. In the mean time the 1833 is a solid selection that’s nice and smooth. On the hunt for a higher proof version of the 1833.
