We have had several events at the senior center and they have all gone well especially with the help of the Admin. Assistant Mr. Ponder. He helped set up hall, carry in a few things since he was there when we arrived and made sure everything was to our liking. We did have to adjust our date at the center due to the mayor not allowing two functions at the same time due to Covid but we were able to hold the event in time. The center was clean and is reasonably priced. Only other downfall is location, unless you have family in the Independence area.

GREAT! My grandkids love it there. Just wish the teenagers didnt get on the kids stuff. Its made for kids 10 and under. If you can drive you dont need to be playing there!

Firework show was awesome. Totally recommend for those in the area next year. Had a nice 3 mile run to the park, then beautiful firework show, then beautiful run home. Great performance from the city.

I love this because when I played this as a kid it was fun!

My first time ever being there I just stopped for about 20 minutes cause theres poke stops and a pokemon gym and a nest of lots of pokemon . But the park looked clean and well kept there was a couple familys there and some younger teen on their bikes off to the side at the picnic tables theres about 8 picnic tables there so alot of room for a birthday party. Overall nice park.

Nice playground for the kids and plenty of open space. Short wilderness trail and walking track as well. Amphitheatre has movies and live entertainment in the summer. Nice park.

The park is well maintained although one of the playground features was boarded up for some reason. I couldnt tell what the problem was. The rest of the park is nice. Its clean and the kids love climbing all over the playground. It was a little wet in the grass. Its seems to be kind of swampy for a couple days after it rains like the drainage isnt that great...not a huge deal though.

Always have loved this local park. Trails to walk, shelters,bathrooms, fountains for a drink, clean and well kept. Only wish, some of the parks Ive been to,had shade over play equipment for kids, when its hot. Over all, stores,restaurants, gas,are all in walking distance for things you may have forgotten to bring on a picnic.

This is a civic park set up for special events including a music venue. The outdoor music venue is in an amphitheater style with the Independence Senior Center thoughtfully included. The building sits at the top of the amphitheater hill.I attended the Fourth of July 2019 celebration. It included many family friendly amenities like a zipline(sponsored by a church), amusement style rides and a wide variety of food and beverage vendors.

Well maintained and great flat walking track for all family members, two or four legs . Nice padded playground area for the kids. Very nice & large shelter and indoor restroom.

Great, high quality park

The park was probably amazing years ago. Now it is in need of an update. One tunnel is crudely boarded up. The slides have more give in them than should probably be accepted. The paint was faded every where and there was also rust and inappropriate vandalism. My four year old did have fun though. Which is what really matters.

There are lots activities planned by the city, its got an amphitheatre were you sit in the grass and it also haves a playground for kids. I think its an great place to spend the afternoon and you can grab something to eat too since it haves restaurants and fastfood places nearby.

Went again to the annual fireworks show/display.Awesome!A dual finale which rivaled the local big show and Thunder over Louisville fireworks finale before the Kentucky Derby.Rides, good local eats, and Im guesstimating... 10,000 - 25,000 in attendance. A fun family event growing in popularity every year.

Very nice park with walking trails and fishing ponds. Not to mention the traditional hoops, sand volleyball court and kids play apparatus.

Keeps the kiddo entertained for a while. Not a fan of the rubber mulch on top of dirt/mud. There are sink holes all over the place and feet/shoes get pretty nasty, especially after it has rained

This is a great little park just as it is in a really superb community where the people make you feel welcome. And for 1 weekend out the year it is the most fantastic place to enjoy the celebration of the birth of the good ol U S of A. Festival with rides and games by kissels miracle midways. Food by a variety of vendors make for a wonderful family time. Followed up on the last day by one of the bestest firework presentations this side of the Atlantic ocean. Done by Rozzis fireworks out of lovely Loveland Ohio. Every year they just outdo themselves. It make s me proud to be a resident of Loveland and a citizen of such a great nation. Land of the free and home of the brave!

Anyone know who I contact about this park? We went for an event and while the park was lovely, my daughter was rolling down a hill with a friend and wound with a horrible allergic reaction to whatever treatment they put on the grass.

Clean, well maintained, covered areas, many special events held there, bathrooms, walking trails, Ive been going to this park for two decades and it was renovated with new playground equipment and truly made beautiful, and close to stores, restaurants, gas for anything you may need for added park pleasure.

The city of Independence throws a really fun Easter egg hunt. My family and I had a great time.
