This place is gorgeous, peaceful, and is transformed depending on how much rain we get. Definitely add this to your list of places to visit.

Beautiful park! I liked how the paths could come and go as the tides changed. There was also some lava rock at the end where we saw crabs and fish, which was neat. Something else I liked were the statues and monuments - some interesting historical points!

My wife and I love to pack or pick up lunch / dinner and head here for some oceanfront dining. The views are outstanding. Its a very popular park - lots of people fishing, jogging, hanging out with family. Not much here for tourists beyond photo opportunities however.

This is a beautiful park, great for a walk and the scenery is splendid! There are everything from ocean views to amazingly large banyan trees to enjoy. There is plenty of shade and the you can catch a decent breeze. This park is a optimal place to relax.

I saw this place labeled as a botanical garden somewhere, but it really isnt. Its just a park. Its a very big and quiet park though, great to have a quiet walk and enjoy peaceful and nice views. I especially enjoyed the small bamboo grove, that was very interesting to go in.

Its so beautiful because it is well kept. A nice little park that you can walk across bridges that lead you towards different water ponds that have fish in them. This Japanese style garden was very relaxing. There are many neat features in the gardens with a variety of plant species to look at. There are many picnic tables to have a relaxing lunch or just to enjoy the afternoon. You can also take a footbridge over to coconut island for more places to sit and relax.

This place is magical. We take our kids on mini adventures here. It is wonderful. It is also a relaxing place to go by yourself to just sit.

We come here about everyday to walk, swim, or just hang out. Its a beautiful place where locals swim and fish and also has a lot of places of interest for people who play Pokemon go or HP wizards unite. If you go you have to get some popsicles or ice cream at the local store which closes at 6pm.

Didn’t know what to expect before getting to this garden. It’s more of a big city park with walking paths and some trees. Wasn’t the typical garden that I’m used to but was nice and very clean. Good place to each lunch on a bench nearby.

Beautiful gardens and its absolutely free. So many different trees, shrubs and plants. I expected more blooming flowers but perhaps it was not the time of year. Lovely walk anytime of day. Fun for toddlers and kids to cross the several bridges.

Very nice place to do picnic, walk your dog, hang around with family, jog, fish, sight seeing, or just chill and have some peace of mind. You can meet lots of friendly people doing either one of the activities I just mentioned. Go place to go visit on free time or weekends.

A quiet park with a nice walking path. The path winds around small murky ponds with a number of bridges and Japanese inspired structures. There are old trees and many flowers. Its a nice place for a walk or a picnic. Bathrooms are available and there is plenty of parking.

Nice place to walk around if you are in Hilo. The Japanese gardens and water features are the highlight.

This is a nice park that is well taken care of. Great place for a day at the park with the family and pets. There is a bathroom, but its not always stocked with soap. I suggest you bring your own hand wipes or sanitizer if you prefer. Trash cans and benches are located throughout and picnic tables are scattered here and there under trees. I like it here!

Its obvious that the staff takes a lot of pride in their work because when ever I visit this place it is always immaculate. It is such a nic place to hang out and eat a meal and relax even though alot of people are there doing laps around the park. You can always throw a line in the ocean if you are so inclined to do so. It is also a pet friendly park too

Absolutely beautiful park that is very well taken care of. Great place to relax and take in the shade from some of the largest Banyan trees in the area. Right across from the bay where you can watch fisherman and a large variety of birds enjoying the cover of the Hala trees. The park is also directly across from the Hilo Bay Cafe which is a wonderful eatery with a delicious variety of foods.

This park is beautiful, and free to enter! Parking is limited, but if youre willing to walk a bit, you can easily find parking nearby. This area was designed to be peaceful and calming, and it absolutely is! This is one of the most beautiful places in Hilo. I suggest visiting for an evening stroll. You wont regret it.

Was expecting tons of flowers and otherwise plants, but the garden is surprisingly really interesting and serene without being just a bunch of plants. Beautiful water areas, little fish and crabs, interesting and sorta fun paths, and of course some great plants here and there. Def worth the visit

Queen Liluokalanis gardens have been preserved in a beautiful state. Our tour guide brought us here and we enjoyed the park. Rich in history and beauty. A great place to see the wonder of Hilo on the big island.

This is a beautiful park right on the beachfront. Its quiet and very peaceful in the morning. Apparently its a great place for Tai Chi as well as there were a variety of people starting their day this way.

This is a Japanese style gardens park located on Banyan Drive in Hilo on the east side of the island of Hawaii. The park is situated right by the water. It was nice sitting in the park and taking in the serenity the gardens had to offer and equally rewarding walking along the park by the waters.If youre looking for a great spot to take scenic shots or somewhere to simply relax, I definitely recommend visiting Liliuokalani Park.
