My husband and I visited this farm and were impressed by the tour. We got to see macadamia nut trees, coffee plants, spice trees and many more. Samples were provided and a couple very impressive overlooks. Our tour guide was very informative and we greatly enjoyed this tour! $40 per person. Tour was about an hr. Worth every penny!

Our visit to OK Farms was amazing! Joy greeted us with a smile and was so welcoming! The shop has a variety of delicious and (very) locally grown treats to purchase. Our bags of macadamia nuts and Lychee didn’t last very long. I highly recommend visiting OK Farms and taking a tour of the beautiful grounds. We had a wonderful afternoon there and would definitely visit again.

As another review said, this was also our best experience on the big island. The tour is very well organized, diversified and feels like a family visit. I would definitely recommend you check it out and support the lovely and hardworking local farmers.

Thank you Ala for delicious rambutan and star fruits. The maca nuts are addictive as well. The dog Marca is so friendly and beautiful. We find a good reason to be back to visit your farm soon. Love from Chicago :)

This was the best part of our visit to Big Island. Ala made the tour very interesting for my family. I have two kids - 4 and 7. Tour was at 1 p.m. which is normally sleeping time for 4 year old but he surprisingly remained awake throughout the tour. Both the kids interacted freely with tour guide - Ala who takes care of farm too. The van was big and air conditioned so less walking with kids. There are two beautiful picturesque water falls in the farm. Ala also showed us lychee trees and allowed us to pick and eat them generously which my kids enjoyed. My wife enjoyed spice road as she uses in day to day life i.e. clove, nutmeg, curry leaves, cinnamon, all spice etc. I bought Macadamia nut honey which was tasty. OK Farm and Lavaloha chocolate farm (nearby) tours make a great complementary learning experience for kids and adults as well. Dont miss this hidden jewel.

This was a great tour! Definitely not an assembly-line tour, Ala took us on a personalized exploration of her farm, which not only includes nut trees, but also spice trees, other fruit trees, a pet wild pig and a flock of chickens that would follow her around. Many scenic stops with photos along the way along with food and coffee sampling! A delightful surprise and exactly what builds great vacation memories!

Joy, the tour guide, was super nice and a great guide! $30 per person gets you a tasting alone with a very personal 1.5 hr tour. Try to call ahead if you can to arrange a time to tour. Park in the gravel lot.

We had an amazing time at the OK farm, Ala our tour guide is simply wonderful at what she does! She was super sweet and friendly and gave us a lot of interesting information about her farm. We saw so many things from coffee trees, to macadamian nut trees, to spices, to Rainbow Falls and more. Ala does alot for her community and it was very lovely meating her. Definitely our favorite activity in Hilo so far.

We visited OK farms in January. Ala (sp?) gave our family a wonderful, beautiful and very educational tour. We learned so much, plus enjoyed the beauty of the farm itself. We were able to sample some of the fresh fruits, the rambutan is our daughters favorite, the star fruit, oranges and mac nuts were also favorites :-) We visited the gift shop and gladly purchased some goodies to take back home. I will be ordering some coffee to be shipped to us in Alaska soon also. Thank you OK farms and Ala!

I have both ordered coffee onliine and been to the farm, a beautiful place overlooking Hilo. This is a family run operation with quality products and good service. The coffee I order (from 6000 miles away) is the best I have ever had, and it has always arrived about 4 days after I order it. I have also ordered other products including honey and mac nuts. Everything arrived in perfect condition. When I visit my daughter and granddaughter who live in Pahoa, I try to find time to go get some for her and to bring back. It takes very little time to get there from Hilo and is worth the beautiful ride.
