This place is absolutely amazing! My kids will play for hours with no complaints. The bathrooms are clean. Lots of sitting areas for parents.

Cool park for downtown hickory. Its needed something for kids for a while. Nice use of creativity for playground equip.

A well built playground that is shaded by very old large trees. My kids loved it. It is spaced out with obstacles for all ages and places for parents to sit without being removed from their childs vision or reach.

My grandkids love this unique playground and usually run into someone they know to play with. Adults can walk laps around the park while still being able to watch their children.

My son loves this park, we walk here and my dogs always pull me towards the drinking fountain. So convenient. Absolutely love that part. We stop by every time we go for a walk.

Our kids love the splash pad! Surprisingly more space to play around than you would think just driving by. Happy to have this in our town.

I came for the Farmers Market. Its in a parking lot near the park and the park is okay, but it seems to be mostly for children. Its very hot because there isnt much shade that the park seems nicely done and the kids who I watch playing there seemed to enjoy it. I dont necessarily think I would call it a part, as in coming to have a picnic or coming to just sit and relax, but for the location in the intention, its a nice place.

Children have a safe environment and lots of fun from 2 yrs and up. Tge best part of all is its shady! Soft carpet if the child is running or should fall.

My daughter loved this park. I think its great for younger kids since its smaller and more closed in than other parks around town :)

Sweet little Urban Oasis for the kiddos! Baby splash pad in the Summer season. Toddler area but also some serious jungle gym space for the young climbers. My bliss is the section of hands on percussion instruments for some tunes.

This place was amazing. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more. Beautiful and fun with a real tie to the history of the area.

Great park! Lots of things to climb on, two slides, spinning toys, musical instruments, tunnels, and more. It is fairly small, but it was not overcrowded.Biggest drawback is the lack of toilet facilities. Two port-a-potties were delivered to the edge of the parking lot while ee were there. It is not horrible if you are the first group of people to use a fresh port-a-potty.

Well thought-out space with benches under the shade of the trees. Soft playground with small water feature for kids. Minimal blindspots.

I did like the musical instruments that were available for kids to bang on. The park definitely needs more play items though.

Peaceful park in the middle of downtown Hickory. My 3 young boys love spending an afternoon here.

I went to the Farmers Market. It was beside the park. There was a good selection of vegetables, fruits and flowers.

Great park. Always busy with kids. We mostly come by for the farmers market.

We like this place in the winter but in the summer with the splash pad the play equipment is a wet dangerous mess!

Its ok. It was my first time at this location. My husband and I have always been on the other side of the street listening to different blue Grass, and other kinds of music.

My daughter & I visited the Farmers Market there !! I love the atmosphere & all the different types of vendors there !! My daughter and I visit there everytime I visit her !!

Lots to do and plenty of sitting apace to watch your kids also a splash pad!!

Lowes Food City Park in downtown Hickory is small but packs in a variety of activities for kids 5-12 years of age.

Kids love this place! Lots of sitting for parents. Resourced and funded by local community. Splash pad is available (havent been to this one). Heard it gets a little crowded at times especially in summer.

My 1st time there with grdtr. Was a lot of fun, but sad to see a couple of repairs already needed. All in all, though its a lot of fun! We both enjoyed it!

I didnt know this place existed until today, but Im glad I found it. The park is small, but its packed with high-end play equipment and a splash pad. It must have just opened, because everything looks very clean and new. My kids loved it, and I definitely plan on coming back the next time Im in Hickory.

This is a very nice park. The only problem I have is it is not contained. Small children can easily make their way out of the park.
