Very fun, definitely recommend more people going to the little part of it where the splash pad is and then going down, you have a little park.

Nice park. It was not crowded and the aground was clear and nice equipment. The Pavillion could use some TLC but was not too bad. Overall a nice place to meet and eat together outside.

Beautiful park. Nice place to enjoy lunch. Play area and splash pad closed due to Covid. Flies are the only downfall. They were swarming our food terribly.

Very nice park, clean for the most part, but they need to do something or enforce the no pets rule. I was there with my kids the other afternoon and a lady had two small dogs with her. She let them run about and one peed right by the splash pad.

Clean restrooms and clean park. Love the variety of playground equipment they offer us to use. More picnic tables would be nice under the round roof area. The water dump bucket needs more pressure please. It has been cut down too low. Perfectly fun for the entire family.

It was a good place for the children to play, but it was tough eating lunch because of All the Flies!!!

Access is easy to get to fields from parking lot. Park is exceptionally clean.

Only think bad about the park is the play area has no shade. Great for fall, bad for summer.

Its a great place to go for kids as there are lots of options for playing. There is a huge playground area and then a big splashpad area as well, opposite of the park. In addition, there is a vendor who comes and sells shaved ice, funnel cakes and some other goods for a reasonable price. The ice cream truck comes often as well.

We really like this park but it can be very packed at times & the splash pad wasnt open this year bc of the COVID-19 pandemic. No signs were up so we were running around looking for the button to start the water like the sign said!! Lol... but it is a decent park, theres a huge slide that will wear u out climbing the stairs repeatedly bc ur child will want to always go one more time!!!! Overall theres not much shade except for a covered cluster of picnic tables. The restrooms are not stocked & the sink in the girls room on the top playground didnt work. If theres more than 3 or 4 families then its overcrowded bc of the lack of shaded areas/picnic tables.

Went with my 2 grandsons age 20 months and 4 years old. They had a blast and did not want to leave. The Splash pad is,Awesome. The 20 month old preferred the playground with the hugh slide.

My children love love this place. There is a free splash pad and it is handicap accessible. The city did a wonderful job redoing the park I loved as a child

Such a great place. You have the park that the kids love and the splash pad close by. The kids spent over 4 hrs there and had a blast. There is so much to do plus shade for parents while able to still see the kiddos. Great place.

Love this park!!! However there are quite a few creeps around... I would recommend a different park. Great park just a terrible location. Probably not safe for kids. Havent been back since experiencing the people who wander into the play area. The people im talking about are males that have no kids, look like they are on drugs, and just sit and watch your kids, or sometimes just walk circles around the playground. We wont be back. Theres to many other good parks to go to this one and possibly not be safe.

Lots of fun activities for the children they seem to never run out things to do ever and if they do they can always just run and run love this place will def be back here time and time again

Its very nice and its a good fun place for kids to go and enjoy and gives them something to do. Has many options for kids and adults for wet and dry fun. One of the nicest parks Ive seen.

Safe and clean. The splash pad is big, sprayers and this huge bucket that dumps tons of water on you. Two parks to play at. Basketball & baseball. Have a picnic with the kids then get wet and play on the playground to dry. There is a bathroom for men and women but sometimes like any public bathroom can be nasty. The parking is small especially when its packed. Best times to come are after 4. They close at 8 pm.

This is a great place to let the kids play and cool off on hot summer days at the same time. Colorful and away from traffic allowing safer play.We try to go by here 3-5 days a week.

I didnt think kids play outside anymore but this is a great place for kids to play in the water and sunshine! It is nice to let them go and play in a safe environment. Just a quick PSA here but please remind the kids not to drink the water who knows how clean it is or even if it is filtered?! My only negative for this place is that the sidewalk on the pad should have been larger so that there would not be all that standing water/mud. That would have made a lot more room for people to sit or stand like the splash pad in Newton has.

Very nice park with multiple sections. It has a large jungle gym that is suitable for just about all ages. There is also a splash park that has a bunch of different activities and will get kids totally soaked.

This 0ark has about 6 to 8 different play areas and a splash during the hot summer months. My 4 year old loved his time there and we will be back to enjoy the facility again and again. His favorite part was the massive 40 foot orange slide. He loved it.

Great parking, always clean(even the bathrooms), lots of things for kids to play on, walking distance to the splash pad from the playground.The only thing that would make it better is if people actually followed the no smoking rule.-which only happens every now and then but its still annoying.

Omg my kids truly enjoyed the splash pad and its big bucket and the park with the big slide we had a fun filled day .. Oh its such a nice park people were very friendly.

Great park got kids for kiddos of all ages. Basketball court, splash pad, jungle gym. Best of all its right beside Zara Baker park so you get 2 parks for 1 trip.

The perfect place to spend a hot day. Its free and there is plenty of space to throw out a blanket and chairs. The water is always nice and chilly.

Perfect other than the crowds (soemtimes) and the red dirt. Great sizing in each section.

My kiddos love everything about this park. We have enjoyed many baseball games, birthday parties, water days and just hanging at the playground area.

This park is full of great new equipment. The kids absolutely love it. Starting May 1st the splashpad opens. Great for parties with lots of kids.

We go to Kiwanis for my neices softball games. The park is always clean. One year we had our family reunion there and it was wonderful.

Nice park except for people smoking around us which bothered my wifes asthma. Might have made 5 stars but Granite Falls Rec Center has larger small childrens area and more ball fields.

Definately one of the coolest parks in Hickory, pet friendly, multiple ball fields, basketball court, splash-pad, huge play ground area, grill and birthday party area, with its iconic curved orange slide.

This is a great park! I take my family here as well as a special needs client I work with. When you call the number for the wheelchair accessible swing, someone comes over asap and helps out, the guy that helped us last time we were there was beyond nice and stood out in the heat with us as we played on the swing. The splash pad is great fun too and gets very busy.Love this park!

Awesome park

First time visiting this park. Was very impressed with the set up. They have a slide built in to a hill! They have a mat type floor so the kids dont get hurt as bad if fall. Took an 8 year old and 2 year, both had a lot of fun. Would definitely go again. The park closed at 6pm so it would be best to go earlier if possible

Its an awesome place to bring my son so he can play in a variety of places. Between the park and the water park its a win win.

The kids had a great time on the splash pad and the whole park was clean well-behaved crowd. For my family it was a great visit but I didnt go inside the bathrooms I dont know what shape the bathrooms were in

Excellent park! The slide is huge and the playground is also large. I like that the floor of the playground is made of rubber and is super soft for the little ones. They have sand diggers and a pretty large splash pad for use in the summer. Definitely worth checking out!!!!

This park is clean and has pretty awesome jungle gyms to keeps kids entertained and active. There is even a water park here as well.

This park has it all! It has play equipment for the tiny toddlers, disabled, to the older children! There is also a rather large splash pad for all to get wet! At the splash pad, there is lots of seating and a large shelter for parents to sit around out of the sun. If you bring your own chair, the shelter has plenty of room to place your stuff! This park was named after a young girl who was murdered brutally by her stepmother. The story was a worldwide story because she and her father were from Australia and moved to NC several years prior. The young ladys name is Zahra Baker. Hopefully she looks down from Heaven at her park and smiles!

Its very serene and family oriented; there are several baseball fields, at least one half basketball court, and Even a tiny water park for ALL AGES called the splash pad as well as a very unique play park ..

Have been here on several different occasions. Always clean & kids have a lot of fun on all the great equipment! We adults have fun here too doing some fitness routines a couple times a month during the morning! No complaints here!!!

My daughter has a blast everytime we go. There is plenty for the kids to do and it is a very open place to be able to keep an eye on the kids while they play.

Love this park and all the amenities.4 stars because of the location tucked in the back of a neighborhood... We encountered 2 adults there by themselves using drugs then driving off. Thankfully they werent aggressive but still, at a park!?!

The super tall slide was fun but, like my great aunt Thelma, could use a serious waxing. Still a fun place for the family! The park, that is.
