One of the best sunset spots in GR. Sweeping views of the west side, the Grand River valley below. There are a few benches and a nice park to relax in while waiting for the sun to go down. Pick a night with a few clouds in the sky 30-50% cloud cover at a medium height and you will be rewarded with a beautiful array of pinks, purples, reds and oranges.

Excellent view of the city and they are constantly upgrading the park to make it more updated and nice. More seating and picnic area, paved areas. Open space to reflect, excersize, biking and on the right night the city is lit up beautifully. AMAZING VIEW!!

If youve ever wanted to see a beautiful sunset over Grand Rapids with a bottle of wine or a beer then this is the place to be. I would recommend bringing a sheet to sit out on or a hammock with longer straps. This is something everyone should see if theyre living in Grand Rapids.

Such a great new park in g rap. Always something going on here, especially the weekend nights. Stop by and get a great view of the city, or just relax and people watch, my favorite!

It had been a long time since I had been up there and I was pleased to see that they had made some wonderful improvements. My favorite thing is the swings theyve added. My kids and I sat on one swinging for a long time as I pointed out some of the historical buildings and churches lining the river and surrounding area.

The lookout was great. I always meet my friend there to talk and chill .

Between Lookout and the park bordering it you can see an overview the city. Theyre building a third lookout point thats even higher.The walk up the hill is so worth it.

Great view fun stairs

Decent place to watch the sunset. You can park at the Reservoir Park, which is a short 5 min walk from several lookout points or you can park on the curb. It’s also a great place to do stair workouts in the early morning or evenings!

Great benches and great views! One of my favorite places to bring a Saturday morning coffee in GR.

Great view of a great city

Wish this park didnt draw in the worst people. This could be such a beautiful park. Any time of the day no matter the hour you could show up and theres trash everywhere, people bumping their music so loud their cars sound like theyll fall apart, people up to no good in general. Really hope the city takes advantage of this park one day and fixes it up to look nice.

Cute little area. However the steps are all busted so you cannot use them. The benches available are nicely placed but the benches themselves could use some TLC. There was also a homeless guy using the area. Decent view though!!

Cool lookout over the city as the name would suggest. Good maybe picnic area/frisbee park. Not much else there. There are stairs that lead down into the city, but they are in very poor condition. When I went it was pretty early in the spring and there was a lot of trash all over.

The view of the city is awesome from here. Always love comming up here to look at the view. Always seems clean and picked up. like that theres a little sledding hill off to the side of the park. Pretty cool place to come check out sometime.

The Neighborhood of Belknap-Lookout is just off the medical mile. Lookout park is a wonderful green space that over looks the city & our Grand River. My dogg loves it!

Great quite place to just relax and look over the City. Public restrooms are really needed to be a true park though.

Park was very beautiful, however reason for 1 star is simple fact that city police drove everyone out without any reason or suspicion of any type of illicit behavior. All citizens attending were talking and being peaceful. Very big disappointment on the law officers end.

There is no view here. all that is here is trees so you cant see anything. I was looking foward to coming here and was really disappointed. Also the road around here is not the greatest.

Too overgrown to see much of anything, and the local spirits did not like my truck being there, caused it to not restart causing us to go to the airport and rent a car for 24 hrs so we could drive 3.5 hrs home to get my brothers truck n trailer and come back and get it.... Either that or my poltergeist liked the ones there so much he wanted to stay there.

I went to look out park for the first time this past weekend and was rather disappointed. It has great potential for an amazing view but you cant see a damn thing because bushes and plants have grown so high that it completely blocks all view of the city and defeats the purpose of going there. The area should be better maintained.

Im a little out of shape today and bent out of shape for probably four or five months maybe a year but hey the stairs were fun to walk up again always been a nice place also I camped up there before back in the day hey what can I say is a peaceful place to be good neighborhood

Its a nice place to watch fireworks. Generally well maintained.

The highest point above Grand Rapids is great for views to the West and North of the Grand River. Lines up with Sixth Street Bridge on the valley floor. View is less ideal to the South due to overgrown brush and trees.
