Beautiful Park! We enjoyed the food truck event. Great People. Lots of food choices, long lines. Great Music. There were lots of places to sit.

The park is currently being used by the homeless community as a place to stay safe. Everyone is kind and honestly their sense of family and community is beautiful

Its a great place to play basketball its very close to a lot of beautiful and unique shops and great dining options all within walking distance. If you like having a drink a few nice bar and grille as well as pubs are with in 3 to 5 minutes of walking. And many other options in The Market Place is on the same street!

I am a motivational speaker, as well as a peer support specialist.I advocate for the homeless, and have helped 6women obtained their own apartments.Heartside park is a very special place for me. Nov. 7th , my friends from cider springs are coming to bless the homeless, and any passer-bys. Life throws everyone a curve, is how the individual deals with it!I speak with the love of GOD......because, I too was once homeless.Thank you for allowing me to share.

Went to the Food Truck Festival at Heartside Park. It was a windy day but a nice event. The food was delicious and I loved that they showed the movie Food Truck. Just wished I knew to bring a chair or I would have stayed longer. I also read on the website dogs would not be allowed, so I left mine at home. I think most of the people who stayed to watch the movie either had a dog or a child. I hope the Food Trucks become a more regular publicized event.

I give it five star because of the homeless who have made their beds there. My heart aches but my prayers for God to help each and everyone of them is stronger.

Aye there was a cook out hoy dogs hamburgers coleslaw and some sides mac n cheese they hooked it up the church music and all was wonderful. Everybody getting along it was great.

This is such a sad place. As a community we need to find out, not how to make it go away, but how to help fix whatever heartside has become.

Full of homeless people doing drugs and drinking. Cant use the grills not many places to set at without being bothered by the homeless people. Very few homeless people are nice there.

This used to be a clean, quiet park in the heart of the city. Its sad how much its changed... There are homeless people EVERYWHERE, drug and alcohol use is rampant, but thats barely scraping the surface...

I find it to be only for the homeless. During the summer children can b seen playing in the water section.

A lot goes on at heartside Park food and fun

We took the kids to the splash pad for some fun. They had a blast. The climber was pretty rusty and dirty and the whole area reeked of pot. The people around the park were respectful and polite but it was pretty clear that some had spent the night there. This would have been a good place to start going if not for the stench.

Its pretty fun but its kinda scary at night knowing people live there... Its still a good park in the day when its hot!

A nice respite to relax and play in the Heartside area. There are picnic tables to take a break and have a snack, plenty of restaurants in the area to get take out if you dont want to pack a picnic. Plenty of parking meters along the streets, remember to download the Motu app, this makes parking easier by allowing you to add a debit/credit card to use as payment instead of looking for change to feed the meter.

Huge park to enjoy. The less fortunate hang out there, but theyre harmless and human. God loves everyone.......

I came for the Food Truck Roll Out and this was a great location. If you are okay with a short walk, there are several options for parking. It is a well kept park. I dont know what this park is like when there is not an event, but there are homeless people that hangout here both times I have been.

I initially reviewed this park 5* mistaking this as another park. I wouldnt take my 160lb cane corso here for fear he might step on a needle. Filled with less than savory types. GRPD should really enforce it as i fear/know it is nothing less than an a open air drug market and burnout haven.Honestly dont understand how it is this out of hand less than a mile from their headquarters... what is going on??

Might as well turn this park into a homeless camp since they are the only people there. I don’t feel comfortable going there as a grown man, much less bringing children to play there.

Wow, there some bad irresponsible parents at the park with their kids. They are smoking weed and drinking alcohol while the kids are sitting next to them. Parents just dont give a damn these days!People and the Police walk through it dont notice it. You can smell weed and watch them do other drugs as well. Pay attention when walking around and through the park its a bad place to be!

Its a great place for kids and adults to enjoy on a nice day they have a splash pad for the kids, basketball courts, and a sitting area if you just want to relax.

It is clean because the city ambassadors try to keep it clean but it has a lot of homeless people and drug dealers so you have to be careful. Street parking with meters and on a nice day you can grab lunch at the downtown market and sit in the park near the basketball courts is your best bet if you dont want anyone to bother you for money or drugs

I met some cool people here. Of course if youre in a bad mood and looking for drama, well youll find it, but I wont bore you with my dilemma. If youre a social person looking for friendly company, this is the place to go. There are plenty of picnic benches and grass space around as well as a playground and water fountain if you want to bring your kids. It seems there are always people hanging out here who are down for conversation and a nice little sesh...if you know what I mean ;).

A lot of homeless people hang out in the area, although they seem to keep to themselves. There is a nice playground ans splash pad.

How sad that the tax payers of west Michigan had to pay for a spruced up park, so the lazy and by-choice-homeless can squat. Dont feed them, dont give them money. There are plenty of resources and food given out downtown. If you stop, they will stop. Then perhaps kids can play in a kid park.
