Interesting place for children and adults. All manner of animals to be viewed inside. Some taxidermied, some live. Bones, rocks, feathers displayed with a legend. Live owl out back in a large aviary, used for education. It is unable to live in the wild. Theres a small bird viewing area with several feeders to help attract birds for easy viewing. Restrooms! A large room with tables/ chairs available for visiting groups wanting to learn more about the environment. Great staff!!!

Visitor Center for the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge. Its pretty cool! Indoor and outdoor exhibits. Inside the have live turtles, snakes, spiders, alligators.. basically a sampling of some of the creatures that are native to the area.If youre hiking around the nature center and find that you or your little ones really need to use the bathroom, this is the place to go. Clean indoor restrooms.Theres also a small gift shop area and a large conference room. When you stop in, collect lots of print information about the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, the benefits of becoming a member, how and where to volunteer, and lots of other pertinent information.

Its a small visitor center, but the staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of information to use for walking trails, bird watching and other activities. They have live animals to see and have a bird garden so you can sit inside and watch all the birds and insects.

We love the Fort Worth Nature center. With everything around the DFW area being developed, its nice to have a slice of nature left alone. Great educational opportunities for kids and adults!
