Nice building but lots of wasted space and very few exhibits are open, could see the entire place in 5-10min easy, not exaggerating. Gift shop is closed too which was a bummer. There were a couple smashed penny souvenir things. Whomp whomp, maybe wait to go after covid.

It was entertaining and educational for children. My 4 year old daughter had fun creating an artwork with my wife. She also enjoyed digging for dinosaur bones with her friend. The digital artwork installations with painting dinosaurs and the moving dinosaurs were quite entertaining. It made the visit fun for adults too. Having interactive experiences for children was wonderful. The courtyard which surrounded the the oak tree was a wonderful piece of architecture. It was nice to see Texas preserve a tree instead of poring concrete over it!Im a bit puzzled by the inclusion of the cattle exhibition and how it is connected to science. They had samples of barbed wire used for fencing over the years in a display cabinet, which I thought was quite amusing.Overall, the visit to the museum was entertaining and educational for our family. We were visiting from North Carolina. I hope the museum continues to keep its focus on making science more accessible and interesting to kids from an early age.

Get a weird vibe off the people that work here, no one is overly friendly and most of the exhibits are closed right now. I wish I had known before I paid to get in, the website just said the regular exhibits were open but nothing else so I packed up my toddler and made the drive and wish I hadn’t. We had more fun playing outside the building.

This museum was just amazing, one of the best museums in its kind. It is big, fun and very interesting. We were lucky to visit on a quiet day and have the place almost to ourselves. Our ten year old loved it. So much experiments, interactive displays and things to learn. He gave it a 10 out of 10 and we agree. We had a good time ourselves and didnt get bored. We never seen anything like this (we are visiting from NZ). We will be back at some point.

Who says just because you grow up the kid in you leaves? My husband and I decided to visit for memories and left with some bits of knowledge we didnt have before. Our favorite exhibits were the dinosaur exhibit and the planetarium exhibit, although we learned the most out of the cattle exhibit. If you have kids you absolutely have to take them here at least once. Theyll enjoy it as they learn! However, I do wish it was a bit more affordable so lower income families could visit more often. As well if the planetarium wasnt an extra fee but I suppose thats how they get their funding. I also couldve sworn it was more interactive when I was a kid but maybe I remember it differently. Overall a really fun place to go and enjoy in our beautiful city.

We love the Fort Worth Museum of Science- it’s a great place to educate and entertain our daughter. The traveling exhibits are always amazing. There is a really fun kids area full of interactive toys and games that our daughter loves. Parking situation is irritating (there’s a $10 charge that’s not included in membership and you can’t pay inside) but otherwise this is a great museum.

Everything about the FWMSH is delightful for kids. I love getting to take my nieces and nephews there! They have a blast and its always a huge win.**There isnt a large selection of food on the menu in the cafe, but the adult grilled cheese and salad option is really quite a steal. ** and all the food is quite delicious! So you cant really go wrong. That being said, its really a kids museum. There is not a whole lot there for grownups to enjoy themselves unless youre going to see a show. Sometimes the touring exhibits are really impressive and considerably more oriented for grownups.

Weve been 4 times and we still havent seen everything they have to offer, but its all engaging and educational and so much fun. We even had his 3rd birthday party there a week ago and they brought in animals to show all the children, and talked about them and let them touch. They also do a Science on Tap for adults thats always a blast, and you get to experience artisans from Fort Worth doing what they do best!I love all the museums but this one is also one you can visit over and over and still enjoy, especially with family and friends.

We are members of this museum and have gone here 3 times in the last 5 months. Its a great museum for kids but I wish they changed out the exhibits more often. There is an area where kids can play, create and explore, but after the 3rd time my 8 year old is kind of bored with it. You could cover this museum in 2 hours, its not very large but what they do have is of good quality. I would recommend this to kids 6-12 years old. The Wonder level membership is worth it because it allows you to go to the Perot Museum and the Heard Wildlife refuge for free.

Love this museum and its hands on experiences that get the kids excited about science and history. It has a fascinating piece of the world trade center wreckage in the lobby. My kids especially enjoy the giant building blocks in the outside courtyard. We participated in a hand on activity creating circuits to make a light up ring with LEDs and watch batteries. It was a memorable and enriching experience even for the grown ups. On that same day the kids also made super hero capes. One of the favorite experiences is the dinosaur area where they can color a picture of a dino and watch it come to life on the wall as an animated character with everyone elses creations. We got there. People went in as we stood there at the door. No one spoke back to us when we tried to ask why they were not open yet. We got rid of our drinks when we thought we were going in. After 15 minutes and a few doors we decided to leave. Yes, we had to pay for parking and we all know how much it is. We will go back we usually have an outstandingly wonderful time. They have the OMNI and the museum in and outdoor things to do. Most of the time we come in late afternoon not at opening so, the experiences are different I guess. The other times (weve been going here for over 20 years) weve been treated wonderful. Their team was always been professional, entertaining, funny, hard working, knowledgeable and so awesome. That is the ONLY reason we still give a 4 star. I think they need to figure out what is the complications going on between the shifts. If we ever are treated as poorly we will not be back. But, we want everyone to know this is a extremely supremely wonderful educationally motivated place for adults, adolescents and children of ALL AGES! Hope to see you all there to laugh, learn, teach, hear, see and be at wonder of new and old facts. See you there we hope! This was the first time Ive ever been here. We got tickets to the IMAX and saw the coral reef one. It was terrible. This place has not been updated in 30 years at least. The information was dated and the film looked grainy and awful. The sound was unimpressive. My TV/Soundbar at home is better than this! Im not surprised you cant get much foot traffic. The exhibits were just okay, the space area was kind of neat. We also visited the planetarium, which was nice and I enjoyed the guide there, it was my favorite part.Buyer beware, if you get planetarium tickets when the stock show is also in town, you are forced to buy stock show tickets as well. But they dont tell you that when they sell you the planetarium tickets! Only when you try to enter the main museum, then they hit you with the extra charges. Just be upfront with people and let them decide! Its better than coming off as shady. There are better things to do and see in Fort Worth. The short of it is, unless there are some serious renovations, I will not be back.
