Timeless classic. The adventure that I was able to enjoy as a kid was gladly shared with my son. He thoroughly enjoyed the approx 40min ride.It is cash only and kids 1 to 12 are $4. The Trinity River is just not the same as I remembered it (dirtier now). Still an enjoyable experience with kiddos when the weather is nice.

Fun mini railroad for the whole family. get to go over a couple of cool bridges, and saw lots of squirrels, ducks, and birds which the little ones loved. Be sure to bring a couple bucks for water/popcorn at the halfway stop!

The day we went was a perfect day with the right amount of over cast and a cool breeze. The staff who run the train have always been very nice to us and try to accommodate everyone I large groups. The ride itself was good. The turn around for the train is like 20 ton25 minutes out. Ive seen the train stop halfway at the park, but that part is always closed when I go. Its okay though. I go when I can. They are open mainly on the weekends following the weather. On hot summer days, remember this is Texas. My mistake when I went then was wearing dark colors to absorb the heat.

Fun family outing. BRING CASH for tickets; Cards are not accepted. $5 per adult. $4 per child 12 and under. Parking in the gravel lot is limited. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early for tickets and line position. There are 4 picnic tables where you can enjoy a snack while you wait. There is only one porta-potty.The train ride is about 40 to 45 minutes round trip, through the 31 squate miles of Trinity park. Only two average size adults will fit per bench seat. Bring a coat on the cooler days; The open air train is breezy. You may have to wait in a long line of Zoo traffic on the weekend just to get to the train station. Plan extra driving time on busy days do you dont miss your train.

It was great. Downside is too expensive, may be because we rode at the holiday season. Only very few people took the ride. It was 6$ for adult and $5 for children. The ride was great because it will take you to a long route (more than 30 minutes) where you get to see the entire park, the bridge, and even the real train if youre lucky. Do not go in the winter, its freezing mostly because of the wind. My son loved it so much.

We have a train lover in our family, and he was thrilled to ride! Its a long ride - about 45 minutes. Its a pretty drive along the river and Trinity park, but no super exciting sites to see. After that long, those benches start to get pretty uncomfortable so I suggest a front or back of coach seat for a little extra legroom. The station is right down the street from the zoo and across the street from a small park, so theres a few places you could tie in to make a trip out of it.Trains run hourly but the ones we saw left about five after the hour (including the one before us, which we missed, ours, and the one after us). They take CASH ONLY, no snacks or water available, so come prepared.

Ive rode this train 3 times now, its so much fun when you are looking for a inexpensive activity. Located very close to the Fort Worth Zoo (you even turn into the Zoos parking lot and go all the way back) this mini open coach train is a lot of fun and the kids loved it. The cost is $5 for adults, $4 for kids 1-12 and seniors, and free for under 1 year old. CASH ONLY! Its a beautiful ride through the trees of Trinity Park, over Bridges to see sunbathing turtles, and on a lucky day, an ice cream man at the Trinity stop on the way back. Bring CASH!! The train only accept cash, no checks, or cards of any kind. The train departs on the hour every hour so make sure to show up a bit early. Be sure to check their Facebook page to make sure they are open. Also, try to sit in a coach further back than directly behind the conductor, it does smell of gas since the train is gas powered. The seats can be a bit hard too so if you wanna be really comfortable, bring a blanket or pillow to sit on. Enjoy the ride!! It really is a treat!...by the way, there is a food truck park across the river.... Woot!

I am sure the people are doing the best they can, but if you miss the time slot and have to wait until the next train beware of this. The only bathroom is a porta-potty that never gets dumped or cleaned. About the worse place I have ever seen. Train is good for 10 year Olds and under. Two to a seat, and no leg room. Adults ride with their child so if you have several kids, (Birthday party ) room is an issue. Would I do it again? Sure, but not bring food.

Very Scenic picturesque train ride through Trinity Park. Something really fun and enjoyable for the kids that lasts almost an hour. Sits right next to the Fort Worth Zoo and its affordable at prices ranging from $4 for adults $3.50 for kids and children under 2 are free I believe that is correct. No restroom stops once you get moving so make sure that the kids go before hand. I would recommend doing this early in the morning when they first open right before the zoo it gets the kids pumped and excited.

I grew up coming here and loved it, and now I get to watch my own children light up with joy riding on this train. Its such a simple, innocently pure, and cost efficient way of making memories with your little ones that is sure to last a lifetime. This is an attraction that makes me feel grateful to be from Fort Worth. The last time I went, they still make a small stop at a popcorn stand, but unfortunately no longer serve coke. Its truly a bummer, their coke was so crisp and went perfectly with the popcorn. Its best to bring cash, although I believe they now accept card, and just charge a service fee.

Such a great outdoor activity to take kids or even out of town guests! Benches are small therefore making it a little bit uncomfortable, the kids won’t notice but I recommend grown ups maybe bringing a back pillow. Remember cash only and you can’t reserve seats ahead, I would recommend catching an earlier train, the 1130-1200 train is always slammed.

My toddler loves trains. He shouted choo choo every time he saw the engine. It took us on a small tour of the nearby Fort Worth area. It was about 45 minutes long and generally entertaining. The cons: the seats are small and not very comfortable. Bring a cushion. They make an obvious tourist trap stop where they sold popcorn and soda for two dollars each. I did not mind it but be aware.

My 2 year old daughter had fun riding on the train. I will say its pretty misleading in the information because you dont go anywhere near the actual zoo. Except the road across from its parking lot. It would be cool if it actually did go around the zoo. I think that would make for a better trip. Also, my boyfriend was unable to ride with us because they only take cash and there isnt an ATM available. Which really was disappointing. He had to miss his daughters first train ride. I would go again for my daughter. Thats about it though and make sure I have enough cash on hand.

Ja
Review №98

This was fun for my kid. He is 20 months so the wait time for the train was the only bad part. The train runs every hour and it can get hot riding depending on the weather. I dont like that we go over part of the trinity with little to nothing keeping you from falling. That part is hard with an active child. The ride is about 45 mins long, its inexpensive, and the people along the route will waive. I would recommend it if youre around the area.

Review №99

For my first visit it was great but now that I go frequently it sure got bored and I even notice a little more on the service from the people that work there, to start the people are already to old to give good service is one of those things where the older you get, you sure dont care, second the workers get to personal with the customer like if you have many kids they start telling you about your intimacy with your wife, I took my kids and nephews and this guy though they were all mine and even if they were that is not his business, sometimes to tell you the truth its kind of racist place, I see how they behave with others and Im Mexican American and they dont say it but their behavior with me is more like minimizing me, besides that the price is fair but besides that I would say is a once a year kind of thing.
