Nice place clean very good place to take a walk

It’s alright. I mostly go just to test any new fishing gear. I don’t understand why people take the fish out of the pond to take home. Why would you want to eat out of this pond... leave the fish in so other people might have a chance to catch something. They should prohibit the removal of the fish. Park is nice and open. Lots of space and is never crowded from my experience. Toss the fish back people!

Beautiful clean park where it is safe for the children to play, with lots of benches for adults to sit and keep an eye on their childrren. The Disc Golf course is under utilized though.

This tank is stocked with farm bred catfish by the wild life Dept of Texas. Great Fishing!

Very quiet and peaceful to visit. Always clean and never crowded. Its nice to see ppl get out and fish and enjoy their weekday!! Love to visit

Nice and relaxing. Me and my man went there today to fish and relax a little for the 4th of July...we didnt catch any fish, plenty of bites but those fish not only went to school..but to college as well very smart... We were fishing with worms, shrimp and bacon..

Park is extremely dirty, trash from people fishing is all over the pond and the water is pretty nasty. The baitfish (Panfish) are extremely small, nothing larger than 3-4 inches and the water is 1-4 feet deep throughout most of the pond so the water is very warm. Catfish seem nonexistent, I would try a nearby lake if youre looking to catch some catfish.

Its a wonderful place to fish and teach the kids patients of the sport catch and release

Park felt safe and was somewhat trash free.

I went fishing, the water are so dirty and need clean the water pls becuse if get dirty probably fish died quick. Lot of trash everywhere, especially the barrel trash are full and stinky smell as hell.. Need more cleaning

They stock the lake every other Friday! Great spot to fish.

Cool little get away.

Great park and meeting building. You can also go fishing in the lake fed by a stream! The road that lead to it is a bit set back from Hemphill. It s a great Park!

This place isn’t what it used to be. Dead fish laying around from the toxic waste. Garbage building up on the shoreline. You can fish on the banks but wear a mask unless you enjoy an odor much like that of an RV dump station mixed with the city dump. Apparently the ducks don’t mind the sewage. They were getting it on like Donkey Kong.

Very nice park area with a lake. I was pleased to see families of Cranes. Not many nesting sites for these magnificent birds are left untouched and undisturbed. It was also nice to see people fishing together and enjoying the day.

The area is clean without trash or litter, has a very friendly atmosphere, talked to a couple that was fishing while I was there, my real purpose for being there was to run my grandson new rc boat. Had problems with it so we left without getting to run his boat. Next time.

Greenbriar Park is a nice place for the entire family to fish and picnic. I believe they have enough Park area to update it and put in and outdoor water figure for the kids.

The park was very full we went to go fishing, they havent filled the pond 2018 we are still trying to go and get a good experience but majority of the time its a disappointment for my kids.

Lived how relaxing n peaceful this place was.

Havent had much personal luck with the fishing, although Ive not picked the greatest days to go, but have talked to a few locals that know the stocking schedules and had some good tales of decent catches. I didnt go for any of the other features other than fishing. Pond could be cleaner....but I imagine it catches a lot of trash run off, in addition to people that visit just not caring. Hoping to find the right time to fish for trout on one of the next stockings.

I love to go to Greenbriar Park we park there and eat our ice cream or quick lunch do we watch all the people that are fishing and sometimes people catch fish and I love to watch all the kids fishing and having a good time

Pretty park. I just went to the Community Center to drop my Grandson off at Summer Day Camp.

Clean, not crowded easily accessible

I have been going to Greenbriar for over a year and can not understand why the city did not add a pool here. They have plenty of after school programs as well as summer programs for kids and having a pool would be a plus, what a waste of space.

Perfect place to relax and take the kids to play.

Never catch anything last several times even when stock it

I wish people picked up after themselves. This park is a dumping ground for some. Its a good fishing spot besides that.

Church picnic and Easter egg hunt. The place was ideal, there was a playground for the kids, a lake for fishing, fun, fun

Nice park. There is a disc golf course with 18 holes, some have a nice challenge. Theres also a community center, playground, self serve driving range, a baseball field, pavilions and a small lake.

Needs more parking but other then that it was a great time with the family.

Fun for all ages, get your kids into fishing at greenbriar catfish stocked thepugh out summer and fishing is free.

Love this place, it great to take your dogs too. The only thing I dont like, is if you happen to have a dog with long hair they will end up with burs in their hair. My afghan was cover in it on all four of his paws. So, its best to go when it isnt during the summer with a dog with lots of hair. If your dog has short hair, I highly suggest going and let them run and play.

My family and I have been visiting Greenbrier since back in the 90s its a wonderful place to spend time with your family and to do some fishing I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Water was turtles eati g the bait as soon as we through our lines in water was dirty and no fish. Not going back.

Will not eat the fish here as I see some people doing but it is a great place to take your kids for fishing
